Good to know!
Would love the following features (and it would be worth purchasing the product all over again) if it had the following l: 1) Bluetooth so it can connect to a phone app 2) a phone app that can be used to change settings, walk you through the reboot cycle etc and save settings so after unmarrying and remarrying, it’s a single step and a reboot cycle to get you back to where you were.
Thank you for another great video. One question, should you remove your Tazer prior to doing unmarrying or after the unmarrying is completed?
After unmarrying; the TaZer menu won't show up to unmarry it if it's not plugged in
So if we go to the dealer, do we set SGW Disable to Yes or to No?
At what point do you physically remove the Tazer? After both sleep cycles? And then I'm assuming you put the harness back into the stock plugs, right?
After the sleep cycles and yes plug the connectors back into their factory positions.
Just updated my tazer and saw a “2k idle feature” how exactly do u work that? I did it accidentally and thought my engine was gonna blow up😅
Now i cant seem to do it again
When you unmarry the Tazer such as when taking your car in for service, does it wipe out all of your saved configurations such as PIN lock, powermode, carjack mode, saved light shows, etc? Do you have to reconfigure everything all over again, or do all of your previous settings re-appear once you remarry the Tazer?
Unmarrying clears all the settings except for any of the live features. So wouldn’t clear pin lock or the custom LightShows
I also have a Challenger 2022 R/T. I'm interested in the remote windows down feature. Can you go through this and explain if the car has to always be in the run position to work or not
th-cam.com/users/shortstSO8kiJMBAk?feature=share
It does not need to be in run for that feature to function
So I'm guessing after doing the unmarry process you plug the cables back into the SGW MODULE. With the extension cables plug into the module and plug into the existing SGW plugs.
Hey there. I have one of these hooked up to my 21 gladiator…would I need to unmarry and unplug to update the software on the tazer..or can I just plug my laptop to it while it’s still married to update it?
I’m in a jeep Sahara 2018 do I have to remove my taser mini after the reboot before I go to the dealer or should I still leave it in?
As some dealers may give you a hard about having a programmer in the vehicle, it is recommended to remove the TaZer. It really all depends on the dealer
Once "Un-married" would you then un-plug the TaZer and plug back into the original Jeep stock module (Sorry forgot the proper term)?
@zautomotive hey bro i have been supporting you guys for a long time and i have been recommending your tazer to all of my friends. I need help though with one of my tazers. I cant unmarry it from my friends old vehicle. I was just showing him the tazer and now that i want to marry it to my car. It won’t unmarry successfully from his vehicle. I tried multiple times. I believe its version 2.4.3. I reached out to your support system on your website they said they would reach out to me next business day but I haven’t had anyone reach out to me yet. I checked on your website theres an unmarry key i can buy but i was wondering if i can get it to unmarry some other way because i tried to unmarry the device several times from the old vehicle which is my friends. Please help!!
Do you know if turning off the ESS with the Tazer will drain the Aux battery which in turn drains the main battery? My aux battery died (fortunately) just prior to my 3 yr warranty so now I’m concerned my main battery will go next. Thinking of us marrying and removing for this issue? Also purchased an extended warranty and they are coming to inspect my 2020 JL so need to pull it out before the inspection I’m sure or they’ll not approve my warranty!
It shouldn’t. Make sure to have the Tazer updated and reach out to support via email - support@zautotech.com
How to get the airbag light to go off after you install the tazer to my 2021 Dodge Charger rt
I literally just answered your question on the previous video, which was the one that actually applied to this question
Once you unmarry it do you have to reprogram the device again once you plug it back in? Or does it remember your settings?
It would not remember the settings and you would need to reprogram your settings. Always a good idea to write down all changes you make, so you can marry, set the settings again in one sitting
Is this necessary if I’m just going to the dealer to get an oil change? I’m just curious
Are you still under warranty? If so i would do it so you don’t risk losing it. If not, then who cares.
How do I unmarry the tazer if it’s married to another car? I did buy the 50$ unmarry/upgrade key code
contact support via email and they can walk you through the process support@zautotech.com
If I change my back lights to Led in my Jeep and then do the unmarried, will this configuration be lost?
If you unmarry the TaZer, the vehicle will be completely set back to stock. It's a good idea to keep a list of all the changes you make, so when you need to unmarry the device, when you go to marry it again you can make all configurations you'd like to have again
I have a 392 charger & I don’t have the tazer my car came with. I bought it already programmed. What do I do to unmarry it?
email support at support@zautotech.com and they'll walk you through what you need to do
Bought the tazer for my 2023 charger rt and nothing works to get the srt modes, instead i lose the ability to use sport mode or supertrackpack
See page 8 of your Tazer manual or reach out to support via email - support@zautotech.com
What if you don’t have the car anymore and forgot to unmarried it is there anyway to use the tazer on another car ?
Yes, you’d need to purchase the Unmarry key from our website www.zautomotive.com/product/unmarry-key/
Do you have to unmarry your tazer from your car before you update or can you just unplug it and update then plug it back in??
You can just unplug it and update. If you have a Pin Lock code, we recommend clearing the code before performing the update
Hey brother, I have a 2017 charger 392 and I had a battery changed and now it’s throwing codes P 21,22 and P 2127 and those have to do with the throttle so I’m in slow mode. It won’t let me go faster than 10 mph. Do you have any clues or ideas or fixes know of anyone that had this issue and what they did besides take it to the dealership
Email support@zautotech.com, but if it’s not tazer related best bet is the dealer
Hi can I leave my Tazer plugged in the by pass all the time in my 23 challenger or do I need to take the tazer out every time I’m not in the car?
@@zautomotive thank you brotha, I appreciate you answering the question.
Can I leave the tazer plugged in and keep it unmarried without it affecting my car or do I need to unplug the tazer after I unmarry it?
Do you lose all information by doing that…if you have a MIL, does it delete it? Or any freeze frame data that you need to get work done?
Is there anyway to marry it to my new charger after my last one got totaled and I couldn’t un Mary it?
Hey i have question regarding warranty i just bought durango R/T and looking to buy tazer but little confused between the warranty get avoided even if i unmarry the device and bring to dealer to get some things done
TIA
The TaZer doesnt void the warranty. When you unmarry the TaZer, there is no trace that the TaZer was ever there. If you have further questions on this topic, feel free to reach out to our customer support team via email (support@zautotech.com)
@@gonzalestrueblue how so when everything can be reversible? Also ever hear of the Magnuson-Miss Warranty Act before?
Can you use a tazer that was already married? Recently crashed my 18 challenger and insurance got me in a 22 charger and I still have the tazer can I still use it ? Even tho it’s married to the old car?
😢 Great features but since installing the tazer when I start my car, the electronic throttle control light comes on, I enter PIN code and the car shuts off and I have to press the gas pedal to get it to restart almost every single time now. Did I get a bad tazer, is it safe to remove it or will that cause more issues? Emailed and was told to wait til etc light goes off and then enter the pin code and that would be great except the etc light doesn’t go out until after I restart the car 🤷🏽♀️
Sounds like a feature of Pin Lock, did you enable ‘pin pedal’ or ‘killpedalnow’? Also made a video about how pin lock could kill the engine and how putting it to run before entering the pin is a good habit to get into
The throttle control light goes on when the gas pedal goes dead - which is a pin lock feature
@@zautomotive yes that’s the reason I bought it. I’ve been putting it into run before fully starting it since i emailed you guys about the problem. Still having the same issue tho. I made a video of it and how that suggestion doesn’t work unfortunately. Any more suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
@@TheQuietStormVibe Well I'm sorry to hear that but i know nothing about the situation besides what you shared here. Never saw the video, don't know which firmware you're on, or which vehicle you have... The support staff is there to help you troubleshoot the issue, as well as, determine whether it's a bad TaZer or not
Hello after unmarry and removing the tazer and go to my dealer ..then just plug in the tazer? Or marry it again ? And do i have to reprogramming again all my customize on tazer? Parkcam..turn cam.For example
Yes, after you Unmarry you would need to re-marry and reprogram the settings you want. Always a good idea to write down all the changes you’ve made so you can put them back in after marrying again
@@zautomotive Please i want to ask about Tazer DT menu for the serial number,
Access it from my pc or cluster car? How to get it?

My vechicle is still showing the abs light and the traction control light after unmarrying my car and i cant use my sports mode no more, please help!
My airbag light did not go off when unmarried my car and did the full reboot
What happens when you can't see everything? I did it and a lot of numbers come out, say +/- and not everything is erased
I fully removed mine from car and didn’t know that was not proper way. Can I still unmarry ?? Please help
@zautomotive Hi! Trying to unmarry the Tazer DT, unable to see the “Unmarry” selection to choose it. I’m in Audio, following the steps as prescribed in the video, yet I don’t see the “unmarry” choice. Can you please help? Thank you in advance!

Make sure the vehicle is on run
The TRX was in run mode, did not touch the brake pedal, just tried to go through the menu selection in Audio setting with the steering wheel buttons. Did not see the vehicle settings menu.
@@zautomotiveThe Tazer menu is going straight to the “Live Functions” menu not the vehicle settings menu - the engine is not on. That’s why I cannot see the “unmarry” selection.
@zautomotive Just tried again and the Tazer is going to the list of “Live Functions.” The engine is not on nor has the brake pedal been applied.
Mines does not say unmarry when I scroll down my list of options in the audio section!!? Please help
Are you in the vehicle settings? Vehicle set to run, but ignition not on
Question y wit this device after u do everything is there a airbag sign always on ? How can we keep tht off wit the new settings?
Please reference your TaZer manual about the airbag light, it's a compatiblity issue with the vehicle you own, not something that we can change
"Airbag light is on - Configuration mismatch - Cannot set SRT mode or
Splash to Hellcat on 2015 to
present Charger 3.6 or 5.7"

At what point do you actually remove the taser and plug the stock wires back into the gateway?
Right after this process. Unmarry, reboot, two sleep cycles, remove TaZer, plug stock wires back into vehicle
Your videos are funny but customer service is sloooow. I finally spoke to someone about the DRL issues I found and they said "we didn't know about that one". LOL Wow. That said, now I'm getting a Electronic Brake Control fault. Unplugged the Tazer and viola! gone. Why do I get the feeling I bought something that was not ready to be sold to the public? Again, the videos are funny, but...
Appreciate the kind words on the videos, as the media manager, I work very hard to bring both entertaining and informative content, so thank you.
For your other concerns, I’d love to get some things cleared up. For one, I’m also unsure of the DRL issue you’re speaking of. We only have a handful of cars at the office to work with and sometimes little nuances can get missed because they may not show up in our control vehicles.
As for the electronic brake control, do you have pin lock features enabled or brake hold? It sounds similar to a notification you may get when certain features are enabled
Not getting the electronic brake control fault but I am getting the Electronic throttle Control fault.
I would rather have a valet mode instead of unmarrying when I need to take it to a dealer, tire store, etc.
And at what time the device should be removed?
@@edwinvalentin8396 the reboot doesn’t end? May want to reach out to support - email support@zautotech.com
Thanks. Highly remarks for the Tazer dt... the extension cord was a great idea
Can you have more than one car per tazer?
As mentioned at :30 the TaZer can only be married to one vehicle at a time. Most of the features are available when the TaZer is married to the car
