2:16 the mural is like from cordillera in the philippines
and they look like Cordillera poeple in the Philippines, this info is so interesting, I believe taiwan wasn't part of China long long time ago ,then taken by China, look at the Geographic location it says it..
Greg Bacbac Austronesian people came from Formosa
@@gregbacbac755 It's not been taken by China, the two sides have always been split. Just the old Chinese government fled to the island, but the government has since been reformed back to being Taiwan.
I am Cordilleran and I agree
Love from Northeast India, Tripura State...
I salute this lady..
0:45 Sounds a bit like icaros from Amazonian natives.
I'm Filipino-chinese and these are our ancestors.
You are very welcome to the philippines. Our Austronesian family. We love you stay strong. Mahal ko kayo🏝️🥰❤️
Taiwanese aborigines are very lucky to have been absorbed into the (Han) Chinese civilization, unlike the other austronesians.
@@lawrence1135 Big No. They steal their land. Taiwan island real owner are the Austronesian people of Taiwan. Where is the land now of austronesian people in taiwan?
@@yellowmixedpurple1751 Taiwan Austronesians are now citizens of the Chinese Emperor, and they are now part of Han civilization with superior Han culture. They live in a first-world country, whereas the other Austronesians are still languishing in the third world. China Strong 💪
@@lawrence1135 your being RACIST and RACIST
I don’t understand the thing with alcohol and indigenous people, this spans throughout the globe.
I wanted to hear how they spoke. They could have just put in subtitles and not dubbed it in English.
Wow! This Chen girl is ferocious. Good luck to her.
We have similar cultures.. We r the indigenous people of Malaysia.. Something happened to us.. We r losing out culture n losing our language.. People r force to leave our land to city.... Sad sad
Bro, awak balik ke Kampung halaman lama dan bina semula budaya hidup asli. Buat macam homestay. Tanam organik. Ramai orang akan datang. Semoga berhasil.
Good luck🤞
Excelente! A vida pertence a todos!
This was a short movie, so good, thank you so much for such an adventure. I want to visit Taiwan so bad!
Taiwan seems to be changing its identity from Chinese to Taiwanese aborigines. Mainland China must also be divided according to each ethnic group if it is to escape dictatorship.
Very few Taiwan Chinese are of aborigine heritage, most are straight-up Chinese from a genetic standpoint, 100% Han Chinese. If taiwanese want to say they are Taiwanese not Chinese, then I can say I'm Zhejangnese, not Chinese. Both are Austronesian tribes anyways. That and historical trade between Ninbo and Japan Hakata cannot be ignored.
wow
They do indeed look just a wee bit like pacific islanders.
Some of the old ladies look similar to Northern Ilokanos living at the northern tip of Luzon. This is super interesting.
@Ho Chi Wang don't you think that's irrelevant? It's common knowledge that the migration to Lu Zhong 魯中 came from Formosas. People move all the time. What's interesting is how similarities of peoples and cultures have been preserved. In the mountain province, the same color dress and dance are still practiced.
Taiwan is a polynesian island.
@Ho Chi Wang, We Filipinos are not like China or Chinese our Government do not claim properties that do not belong to us.
Also, If one is to look at the Austronesian and Polynesian DNA, the Filipinos of the northern part of the Philippines and the natives in Taiwan are related. That is a simple fact that cannot be altered by either the Communist Party of China nor the Kuomintang.
They look like a mix of every Asian country in the east, similar to Okinawan.
Hello from Indonesia
Most of the minority the tribal or hill people gets neglected . The similarities in the dance tradition and culture is undeniably identical to more than 100 tribes residing in northeast india sharing boundaries bet burma and china..
Theere must be something bigger waiting to be uncovered..

Personally, I believe tourism is a magnet for trouble, but also, really treated as a special zone, all over the world.
My people are no longer Taiwanese they have been mixed so much by runaway Chinese they lost their way. Rip my Taiwanese brothers.
Chen is great! Nice to see footage from Laha Mebow's film too.
No audio?
Indigenous people of taiwan, and Philippines southern part are same people, cultures. A warrios tribe
Funfact: Taiwan is indonesians and malaysians ancestral home..
Indonesian and Malaysian are heavily mix in Mainland Southeast Asia..
Chinese were immigrant even in Taiwan lol
There is a saying in Chinese that Taiwan is the only successful Chinese colony in the world.
