Perhaps it is only fitting that, in the words of Admiral Shibasaki, "A million men cannot take Tarawa in a hundred years." and yet the 2nd Marine Division did it in just about 3 days. To quote Medal of Honor recipient Marine Col. David Shoup, “Casualties - many: percentage dead - unknown: combat efficiency - we are winning.”
I know you can’t please everybody, but I personally would love if you take control of attackers in key moments when the AI gets hung up. This would apply to both axis and allies when they are attacking. Watching a whole squad walk up one by one to get shot dead by one guy is silly, or watching a tank sit around and do nothing while there are machine gun bunkers mowing down friendlies right next to them is also just silly. Honestly I think just taking control of tanks during moments like that would make the battle viewing experience much more enjoyable. Not only will it keep the battle flowing, make the actions of the tankers much more useful and realistic, it is also always fun to watch a tank blow someone up.
Yeah I as much as I love these videos and Diplex there are moments I want to scream 'you have a fucking panzerfaust !' or 'your target is right next to you' or 'you have anti-tank/bunker/infantry assets use them !' or even 'move the armour up !' . This could have a been a textbook smooth battle where the Marines steamrolled the defenders but the AI just kept getting brain farts.
Love this guy, he puts so much care into the battles and it feels so immersive. I think it be really cool if he tried another alternate 1930s-40s series but like keep it going you know, let it progress. To be honest I don't care I just love it when he posts this stuff:)
Keep them going to the end. If you don't, it is like ending a movie right before the ending. Don't give into the PC culture! let the game end with who ever is winning. I was thinking you were gonna make this video. You made part 1 so there should be a part 2 around the corner and here it is yay! I know this isn’t Star Wars or a futuristic battle but why do so of the shots from the really powerful weapons (tanks or turrets) have a different color than what they would actually be like when they were shooting I assumed we would see a slight yellow thing pass by because that’s what most weapons would shoot a yellow bullet but it goes so fast you can barely see it. But instead it fires blue or even red shoots and I know this is a historical battle (but it may not be completely accurate), but why do some of the heavy weapons shoot a blue object or even a red one? What is in there that makes it that color? Or maybe it’s just the game and it’s either a glitch or a way you can tell the difference between some weapons or accidentally Diplex had the Star Wars (or whatever mod on) that makes some heavy weapons show a different color than what it’s supposed to shoot. But either way it’s still a great video and I like it when you do these battles 👍. (But seriously though, why do some of the heavy weapons fire a color that isn’t what it should be?) Eventually (if we ever advance in tech) we mite be using blasters like from Star Wars and we wouldn’t need to line up are shots because we can see them. And they would go 2x faster than a normal bullet from a gun (the blaster blots is what I’m talking about). If only that could be true that in the future we will have those weapons.
@@Emerald_Fury375 I believe NATO use red tracers and Russia uses green tracers. Usually you'd have one machinegunner with tracer rounds and they would mark a spot for a squad to lay down fire on. Some good videos from the Ukrainian civil war show its use.

Blue tracers were actualy used extensively by the Japanese during ww2. Another misconception is that a nation would only use one colour of tracer. There are reports and stories of us airborne seing purple, green, white tracers during d-day.

Not all were destroyed so they salvage and work out how to reprogram droids first one was a tactical droid this is also how they are now producing wonder weapons so it'd be cool if you could throw in a V2rocket 3 buzzbombs and one p1000. Have it at top secret German air base. 4 black magna guards guarding German officer for cinematic purpose lol. I think it would be a cool twist on a conspiracy in history involving alternate starwars universe. Would make for LEGENDARY battle.

I usually like more between Russians and their eventual allies against Germans and also their eventual allies .... and you also do this type which I congratulate you too ... but I always think that some combat officers could use a submachine gun in addition to his pistol because in real combat he would probably have one ... I don't know if you agree ... in any case congratulations again.
Make sure your values for terrain/water correspond with those for the water assets. Or just use the water terrain tool. Check the depth of the water also.
