I don't own a Maverick, but, the more videos I see of the flexibility of add-ons for this truck the more I like the concept of a small truck and the design of this vehicle in particular. My wife and I don't need a large vehicle, but we do tow/haul enough to make a vehicle like this practical for us, as well as occasionally driving the adult "kids" around. Keep on posting content like this. Well done.
Good comment. I stepped down from a half ton truck to a Maverick and am not disappointed. Eminently practical if you don't have to tow heavy loads. Just the right amount of bed space for 90% of your typical projects and adventures. Highly recommend it.
Good comment back! Yes the Mav bed is plenty for 90% of the projects. A removable high rack will let you haul long items from Home Depot for the remaining 10% of the projects. Glad to see you own a unicorn too. Post some videos, I will sub!
Glad to see you may buy a Maverick, Mr or Mrs Taylor. Now that the base model prices have gone way up, the Lariat is a better value with all that is included. My video of July 19, 2023 has a list of 18 upgrades not available on XL or XLT. Oh and thanks for the compliment! Really. Please share this with others you think should look at the Mav.
@@fordmaverickmaniac When the Maverick first came out a couple years ago, I wasn't enthused about it. I think I lacked vision about its potential (or I expected more of a "truck"). Over the last few months I have watched many videos and comparison videos (everything from daily driving to off-roading to making modifications), which has slowly changed my mind. Owners of the truck are very creative. You're right about the price increases - he who hesitates pays more. Perhaps there will be some competition for it next year.
@@fordmaverickmaniac I feel incredibly lucky I got my hybrid XL early with the low price. $22.5k out the door with my few options. I'd like to make a video on it, showcasing perhaps the best new car value of all time. At the higher prices you're right- I'd go Lariat for the few thousand more 🤷
Tomorrow is the day I go in to my dealer to pick-up my 2023 Lariat Hybrid in Carbonized gray and I will be leaving without the truck. I have mixed emotions about it, but I still adore my '23 Colorado. Was hoping there'd be a way to make some money off of my 16 months of waiting, but it's not gonna happen. I appreciate your videos, sir.
Can you keep both like me? With truck prices rising every year that helps you beat inflation. And gas prices will keep rising so the hybrid will save you a bunch in fuel every year. Make the hybrid your daily and use the CO for adventures and winter driving. Spread the miles they will last twice as long. Or maybe a relative wants to buy it or co-own it with you. Once you tell the dealer to cancel, they will high five each other and probably mark it up $10k. If you ordered LUX, 2023 is the last year it includes the wiper de-icer, a heat grid low in the front windshield that heats up the rubber blades. Otherwise the ice will smear your windshield. The Lariat hybrid is worth keeping in the long run with your CO. Sorry about your dilemna Greg! Thanks for being a great sub.
Hey Brendan, welcome! I posted a comment on your latest video but it disappeared. I was as excited as you the first time I saw my Mav, and now 2 years later, I am still excited every time I sit behind the wheel. We are both close to 1k so let's help each other get there. Refer existing subs, collaborate on ideas, and share intel, like the big channels do. @@fordmaverickmaniac Yeah I read it and then came back later to reply and it had vanished! Even checked in YT analytics for hidden comments and it wasn't there. So strange. I'm not on Maverick Truck Club but have checked it out a few times for info about our trucks.

Yes double CW! I am getting a little more respect driving around town. Also, comparing payloads on the door stickers surprises full size drivers when they see that my Mav holds 100+ lbs more than theirs.
Thanks for showing off this rack. I found it about 2 months ago and found very little info on it. I am looking to add it to my F-159 for kayaks and lumber (we have the 6.5 bed) I like the adjustability of the angry elephant vs. the elevate rack. Where did you get yours?
Hi Michael, welcome! I hope to earn your sub and referrals. I bought the AE rack at Tonneau Factory Outlet. They have customer service if you need to call. Yes even the 6 1/2 ft bed can't hold those items. A Mav would be a good companion to your F-150. Saves a lot on fuel when you are just hauling yourself.
@@fordmaverickmaniac I definitely like the idea of a Maverick. Our F-150 is mainly a horse hauler and other short trips for hauling real estate Trash. My daily driver is a Ford Edge that has decent mileage.
Something about your rear driver's side tire concerns me. I had a similar issue on a car of mine years ago, and it can lead to a dangerous blowout...I noticed at least one low spot and bulge in the sidewall, which means an internal fiber may have broken, weakening the sidewall integrity. Please get it checked ASAP.
Thanks Denny! This rack cost almost a grand because of the extra accessories it comes with. A tent costs more but so worth it to keep you off the wet ground and above the critters.
What modifications and upgrades will you get for your Mav?

Nice addition. Very useful. 👍🏼

Where'd you get the rails for the inside of the bed?
Hi Tob, welcome! Those were factory installed, included with lux pack.
Is this the kind of high rack that you can put those pop-up tents on for camping?
