Well done! I get the need to get something like the Myosotis out of your system. That’s kinda my issue with the patterns everybody is sewing and the way they are talked about in our community. There is this weird peer pressure/ creating FOMO vibe going on, and I’m not here for it. No, not everyone needs to make it. No, even the prettiest patterns don’t look good on every body shape. No, no pattern works for everybody’s style and needs. And no, nothing is wrong with me for not jumping on the bandwagon. So many of us get into sewing for a more individual style not dictated by high street fashion (and proper fit). I fully understand the temptation created by seeing beautiful versions on others, and I’ve certainly done my own trials that didn’t always work out. But sometimes our initial gut feeling of “pretty, but not for me” is spot on. ❤
Well done on completing your make 9. I don't do challenges as even though the planning is fun having to sew something to a deadline is just too stressful.
I might need the ondee…. My favorite jumper is a cropped one with 3/4 sleeves and a little ruffle around the back hem… I want more of that jumper and that pattern might do the trick 😮
Well done for completing your Make 9 Challenge 🎉. I completely agree with your assessments - you know your style and, when a garment pleases you, you look amazing. Catherine x
Well done! The way you did this challenge is a good mix of pushing your comfort zones and doing some obvious wins, I'm glad you got through it. Really looking forward to watching your progress through next year, I have loads of her patterns but find the fit really hit or miss so keen to see your tips 😀
I know this is your make nine, and by the way all of the makes are lovely, my favourite is the magnolia dresses! But I love this style vlog it’s all one pattern company… it’s given me some food for thought on what I may make from the Deer and Doe patterns 😊
Yaaaay!! One day, when I'm all grown up, I'd like to complete a M9! Completely agree that the plans are so much fun to do. I've attempted M9 each year since joining Instagram about 6 years ago but not yet managed it! Lol Not sure what i'll be attempting this year but looking forward to seeing your Gertie plans come to life 🥰
The Reglisse is beautiful--great job. Seems you have a propensity for fitted bodice and longer circle skirt with fall colors so trench too short. Longer and in leafy green or rusty spice color might fit in with your makes & be one you gravitate to more often. Now to get on to my own make 9 adventure! Thanks for the motivating video.
I wonder if fabric choice is part of your decision for some things, as the white based fabric dresses you aren't a fan of and I agree. You look great in deep saturated color! But always Beautiful no matter what!!😍😍...So excited for the Gurtie patterns!!!!
First time for me to come across you. Great makes. My suggestion would be to make your talking image the smaller pic and the pics/vids of the garments the bigger image ~ but great that you do give us a long look at them though ~ just would be easier to see if they were bigger.
Well done on your make nine. You really pushed your comfort zone with them. I look forward to your list for this coming year. My make nine is to make nine things for my grandson.
Hi, congrats on lovely results! I have a similar figure & wondering if you've done any Full Bust Adjustment with any of these? I'm guessing not, as I think all issues you brought up with the torso being too short, or wish you made 40 instead of 42 for the shoulders could be fixed via a FBA! And indeed agree the last 2 patterns are cute, but not best for an hour glass figure.... Great work & thanks for sharing!!
I actually love your pinafore style cardamom. It makes me want to make my own! How did you manage the lining with the "shirt" bodice pieces and the "pinafore pieces"? Did you line both?
I'm thinking the Luzerne trench would look better in a midi length. The Cardomom might have been improved with a belt, perhaps? Congrats on completing the 9! :)
Regarding color...you are obviously a warm season, so should avoid black. That might be why you aren't thrilled with the trench coat. On another note, will you be sewing for Wilson this year?
Wilson and I broke up in February so definitely not!! 🤣😉 I'm so excited to find out about my colours.....I wore a black top and floral dress the other day and loved it so I'm not sure it's the colour or maybe it's because it's a solid black!!
All 9 patterns were from the same company. Do you think using the same pattern company helped to stay focus so you could finish all 9 with in a year? Beautiful Outfits!

Hurray! Well done! 🥂🎉😽💕
So proud of you 👏 🥰 💛. I have seen most of make 9 videos. This was my favorite approach of yours ,so I am glad it worked out.

The melilot (love that print) and the gruyere and the trenchcoat are my favourites!
So happy for you. Congratulations ❤

I love yr hair it suits you. X
Yay! I only got 6/9 done but I was 2 months without a working sewing machine.

Ooh, I'm excited to see which Charm patterns you'll be picking! 😁💜 Absolutely love Gertie's patterns, but like you I've only made 1 or 2. 🤔

I'm so happy for you. You finally won yourself and made them all. Now we only need to wait about a month(?) for next plans 🙏

Honestly, Sian, you belong in a mansion where you could glide around in all these creations!!! Marry RICH! You have the wardrobe 💃🏻
😂😂😂
Not only the wardrobe but also the looks and figure 👗🎉🥳

Congratulations, I think you need to be dedicated to finish " Take Nine" ❤

Well done you. I only planned a make 6 list & I still missed by 2😂😂😂 There are just too many pattern distractions🥴
I actually love your pinafore style cardamom. It makes me want to make my own! How did you manage the lining with the "shirt" bodice pieces and the "pinafore pieces"? Did you line both?
I only lined the cord parts and sandwiched the shirt part between those pieces :)
@@KittenishBehaviourSian thank you!

oooooh yes a little longer might be awesome for me! Good idea!
