16 years later and that bathroom is still in style. Well done!

This is probably my favourite bathroom that Sarah designed because of the very tight budget and timeline. This bathroom looks high end but was created with fairly inexpensive materials. The colour is lovely as well.

Sarah is the only interior designer that mixes used pieces w/moderately priced big box store items and turns the look into elegance. The average interior designer would look @ a client with a blank stare if they requested used thrift store finds peppered into their home. That designer wouldn't refurbish, repurpose, or refinish anything w/o an upcharge bc that designer would outsource their client's ideas. Sarah is truly a unique find in her field. I'm kind of glad she didn't go all network big and she's still the best kept secret in the industry.

I don’t think her clients understand how far she goes for them or how brilliant she is.

Wow---*amazing* amazing outcome for sure (definitely love the soothing color scheme)... how she pulled it together, being that tight on budget and time??... and yet THIS is the beautiful result. All I can say is WOW. She is so talented (imho), and I adore every Design Inc. episode. Thank you thank you ABODE for these🥰

I love this look. I wish there was a design show that focused on a high end type look but using a small budget. Most shows you know they spent big bucks, which isn’t realistic for most of us looking for ideas to use in our own spaces

The problem with that is the cost of labor. Good labor doesn’t come cheap.

This bathroom is my second favorite that Sarah created. The first was an episode creating an all-white bathroom that included a chaise lounge. I remembered the color pallet and the textiles she used and when I renovated my bathroom I relied on SR's talents and did the same thing: all white but with a subtle hint of light blue and a beautiful white chandelier illuminating overhead.

She’s returned to HGTV… in Canada via her new show Sarah’s Mountain Escape, where she’s renovating Haus Heidi in Whistler, BC with her current crop of design assistants (Tommy doesn’t work with Sarah anymore) and local workers in the area. She travels back and fourth between Ontario and BC. She also asks local artists to contribue something to the project.

I'm happy to share that they are still great friends, Tommy simply wanted to do his own thing. They've known each other since college and Sarah totally supported him going out on his own with the other two. Love them both, such nice and talented people!

@@juliananton7800 It was bound to happen that Tommy branched out on his own and started his own firm. Not so sure how working with Tommy would go. He's always liked big budgets and I've never really seen him be creative on a budget w/o complaining.

GREAT outcome. For sure money could have been saved if she had purchased her sink at the big box store. They have very similar sinks and for sure a vessel at 1/2 the price. There was no reason to remove wood to put wood back. It should have been sprayed and DONE. The crown and baseboard was all that was needed. That's the upside of painting!!! When they removed the shower I saw blue tile!! That would have been a great thing to add to this video. This was not that bath's first renovation! Sarah produces lovely outcomes for sure. But to ever tell a client you can't take the time to "ok" things with them --sorry that's just RIDICULOUS!!

"There was no reason to remove wood to put wood back. It should have been sprayed and DONE." < < The fact this was a thgt in your mind is a problem.
"to tell a client you can't take the time to "ok" things with them --sorry that's just RIDICULOUS!!" < < Sarah never said she "can't" take the time. What she said was it would take more time to come back to get approvals, but if the client would trust her decades of experience and expertise the project could stick to a tight deadline. If I hired a professional like Sarah I would trust her opinion on redoing a small bathroom. Do you go to the doctor and tell them how to treat you? Sometimes you just need to trust the professional you hired to do what they do best!
