You found a really nice work flow with the Fiverr renderings; use those to make the big, expensive, and tough to change decisions (tile, layout, sizing of components) and then leave smaller decisions (light fixtures, mirrors, accessories) to the end when you can see the real life result. Great job, I hope your videos encourage more DIYers. It’s rewarding in so many ways to build beautiful spaces like yours. Keep up the great work!
Please give your dad a huge hug from me. I miss my own father so much, he would do these "home projects" and let me help and honestly I am crying because I miss him and doing whatever was on his "honey do" list because I learned so much about home care years later I am well versed in attic fans and plumbing ( :) ) . Sincerely, take your dad to dinner and just hug him and tell him he's the best. Trust me I know I miss my dad and I can't tell him that today.
Looks truly amazing. You and your Dad did such a great job. I bet it was a fun bonding experience, too. You will be able to look back on that time with your Dad and appreciate the time you spent together. You will also be able to say to yourself every time you go in there, "we did that." I’ve been going to #PalmSprings almost every summer w my parents since I was 3 years old. This house really grasps the iconic mid entry, modern vibes Palm Springs has to offer. I think it’s a great idea to make a video about things to do in Palm Springs because there really is a lot to do. It’s a slow but great little community. Cheers from San Diego, CA ☀️

Fantastic job @ShelbyChurch and dad! Nothing wrong with hiring help on a remodel but I love it when Airbnb hosts diy some of the reno. Diy’ing some of my own places gave me a ton of respect for contractors who do great work. It also gives you a better idea as a host of how your home is setup in terms of electrical, plumbing, etc making it much easier when / if there are repairs or issues. Super impressed!!!!

Before looks much higher quality. The new shower will have issues draining. Without diagonal cuts, large tiles do not follow the slope of the shower pan.

You all did a great job, and now you have the knowledge when dealing with contractors in future to tell if they are B.S.'ing you or if they plan on cutting corners. Doing these sort of things arms you with knowledge you will use the rest of your life!
Great video was so nice to see the finished result! You guys did an amazing job and it was so fun to see the vlogs of the process. You might want to consider purchasing a small amount of floor and wall tiles to have extra in case you need to repair any tiles in the future.
