  • Cheryl and her husband purchased their condo two years ago. After years of waiting, they are finally able to move in! That’s why Sarah Richardson and her team are on the case to turn this new build into a perfect home for the couple. However, with limited space and storage, can Sarah and the team help the couple create a space that works for their everyday life and entertaining?

    Poor Cheryl, that would be so overwhelming, seeing your apartment with the designer and a camera crew and probably having a bit of a panic attack about the size.

    I don’t know why they didn’t sell it and buy something bigger once she saw how small it actually was. I preferred the first rug , it looks lovely

    Yes the spaces were small... but the end result is elegant yet comfortable & functional, for both spaces. It can't be much better than that! Classic design (as Sarah and her team always seem to do!), & gotta love ABODE for giving us Design Inc. again (thanks, ABODE!).🥰🥰🥰

    Wouldn’t the couch go better under the artwork, so it’s across from the tv? And then put those 2 chairs in front of the window when they have guests over. I’d think the couch is more comfortable

    The drapery should have been extended to where the walls meet on the left side of the room. Arbitrary placement of the drapery rod is awkward and draws attention to how small the room is instead of ticking the eye into thinking it is larger and wider than it is. Not great and alward.

      They are very old videos, because Tommy Smythe is no longer involved and he is in the opening. Too bad there weren’t new ones That is why it is so confusing to us.

    Someone (Cheryl and hubby) didn't do their homework first by noticing how small the rooms would be. It would have been better if the apartment was a large open floor space. Tear down the L-shape corner wall between the living room and kitchen would help.

    • @katbar6066
      @katbar6066 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a supporting wall for the apartment upstairs or for the roof. Not always easy in Apartments to pull down walls- but I agree it would have looked better.

    Why was the TV not resessed into the wall or hide behind a paintin? Just wondering in this tiny condo

  • @jackiequeen4481
    @jackiequeen4481 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Sarah is normally one of my favorites but not in this one. I guess people just have too much money...so much fuss made over such a tiny space. Lord, how do people live in closets like this? And, no matter how many thousands are spent on all the tiny, teeny details, it still is nothing but a closet.

    • @freedomofreligion3248
      @freedomofreligion3248 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We're all different. Some of us actually prefer a tiny space. It's nice to be open to being tolerant to differences -- it enriches life.

    Why would anyone buy a place to live site unseen?

    • @thehungrygoldfish
      @thehungrygoldfish 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Because that’s how you buy with a new development. They try to sell as many units as they can before it’s complete, and when it’s done, the price usually goes up for anything that’s unsold.

  • @kellynoel77

    Wait, wait. A television has nothing to do with design? Watching television is one of the primary purposes of a living room. How gross for Sarah to just ignore the client’s request - and so flippantly.

    • @PLODay-bk8ws
      @PLODay-bk8ws ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was an oversized TV that Sarah was ruling out. And Paul later agreed the 32" TV was the right size for the space.

    • @wallihaley5194
      @wallihaley5194 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Personally, I refuse to have a TV in the living room. I think it’s unsightly and a distraction and sends a message that the most important function of the room is watching the TV instead of conversing with other people. On the other hand, I realize that some people don’t have the extra space in which to put a TV and so their stuck with it.

    • @kellynoel77
      @kellynoel77 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wallihaley5194 yeah I don’t have a television in my living room either. But the homeowners should get to decide what happens in every room of the home. It’s Sarah’s attitude here that I have an issue with. Truly ridiculous.
