If your Bluetooth isn't working (automatically turning off after turning it on), reset the PRAM/NVRAM! That did the trick for me. :) Thank you for your tutorials!!
I followed your guide on an old laptop I had essentially written off (Late 2010 MacBook Air with the 2.13 Core 2 Duo) and I am shocked at how well this computer is running. I upgraded directly from OS X High Sierra without formatting and all of my user account info, files and settings were retained during the update to Sonoma. Pretty impressive that a computer that shipped with Snow Leopard (10.6.8) is still running a current OS 14 years later.
It's funny how its possible to run latest os on old computers, but apple doesn't support this feature, obviously they want to keep selling the latest computers so they don't develop latest os for older computers. The amount people that must of thought, okay can't upgrade to latest os, i'll buy a new computer.
I also have a late 2013 MacBook Pro and i did follow the instructions on your first video. Badaboom! It worked flawlessly. I can finally use Garageband again, making this MacBook relevant again instead of a paperweight. :D Thank you!

Did a fresh install of Sonoma on a late 2013 27inch iMac using Legacy Patcher without a hitch.. Ran Post -install Root Patch after the reboot Mac specs- i5 3.4gh, 16gb 1600 ram, 3tb Fusion drive and 4gb Nvidia graphics. Aiis still running well after about 3months. Great content Anson. Keep it coming. 👍👍
Been running Ventura on a 2012 Mac mini with a SSD and a 16 GB of ram upgrade and it’s been incredible I do wish the Mac Mini was a quad core but the dual core intel 2.5 hasn’t really been a problem and the 16GB of ram have been such a huge upgrade
Installed Sonoma 14.5 on MacBook Pro Early 2011 13.3 model with a dual-core Intel i5 cpu about a week ago. Overall experience has been pleasant. Newer versions of programs I want to run can now be installed and work fine on Sonoma. Only glitch so far has been Firefox froze often. So, I removed it. Overall, it is noticeably slower loading programs, especially browsers. I have 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD drive. It has given new life to my old MacBook Pro.
It WORKED!!! MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2014 - The first thing I checked was Logic and it now works!!!! Thanks!!! I did not do a clean install. I had a Pro Video software update. It ran and updated without any issues.
Update: Everything worked without doing a fresh install. However, Logic Pro 10 would not update to Logic Pro 11. I subsequently did a fresh install and I was able to get the Logic Pro 11.
THANK YOU 💜 THANK YOU 💜 THANK YOU 💜This was a bit glitchy to install (USB thumb drive problems; wireless keyboard problems) but once we got past the glitchy to the actual download, it was smooth sailing! Thank you so much for posting this video~ we watched you closely step by step so when it wasn't working right we could see what it should look like and go back and re-do steps. I have an iMac 27" screen, late 2013 desktop that I've taken really good care of since I bought it over 10 years ago, hard drive was replaced in 2018, RAM is fine and extra memory in the spare slots put in last year, screen is still beautiful and crisp and really nice for watching videos, everything is fine, it was just that Apple wouldn't let it update out of Catalina and Apple was no longer producing updates for Catalia itself leaving the security of the computer vulnerable. And from an economic and environmental viewpoint I have a BIG problem with that. Now I'm running Sonoma 14.5 latest update NO PROBLEM. And the only cost was our time and 2 USB sticks (the first one we wrecked...ooops). You deserve a million subscribers!!! 😘
I moved my late 2013 15" MacBook Pro to Linux Mint and use it as my daily driver for news on my kitchen counter. It's fast and works great! I bought a M2 Mac Mini and a 27" monitor as my daily driver for regular work. I'm please that Linux Mint isn't that much different than MacOS. Afterall, they both have Unix roots.
Presently I am installing Ventura using the unsupported option. I will try Sonoma later on. I am slowly getting rid of my Windows 10 and 11 computers. My iMac is an iMac late 2012 model.
@@josephfarrugia2350 Honestly, it's about the same, i wouldn't say it's any faster, definitely not any slower though, so it's still good, and I had no problem with it before. A while ago I did swap out the Hard drive for an SSD on my 2012 model, and that made a HUGE difference, and made it so much faster, and responsive, it even booted up way faster.
Did this to a used late 2012 MBP a few months ago. It’s not my primary machine, and is used primarily for a couple of audio hobbyists specifically apps (REW and miniDSP Device Console, neither of which were happy on Catalina). The only minor issue I’ve had is the DSP app occasionally stops in its tracks and needs to be force quit and restarted. At the end of the day, it’s barely an inconvenience 😂. Everything else works like a charm, and is much brisker than my Mini of approx the same vintage - I’ve not yet upgraded its HD to SSD, so that’s next.
Thanks a tons ..you really saved me..i couldn't afford to buy a new macbook as mine was older to download applications to make college assignments ..thanks sir ❤
2013 MBP Retina 8GB RAM with OWC 1TB SSD. I have a Time Machine back up but also made a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner on another drive just to be extra safe. Wiped the drive and did a clean install then used the TimeMachine backup to restore. Currently it’s up and running but the fan keeps turning on and off, but I’m chalking that up to the system going crazy trying to reindex as well as my BackBlaze going hard too haha I see now Photos is migrating now too. I’ll migrate Mail when I get to work.
I'm in the middle of installing Sodom right now! It's a mid-2011 Mac Mini... and it was a nice piece of decor :D Anson, your English sounds great and is completely understandable to people who don't speak English as their primary language! Keep up the good work! I'll come later to tell if my Mac Mini worked well after this upgrade.
Got Sonoma 14.3 up and running with no problem whatsoever, my question is: Do I have to apply the OpenCore patch before updating every time, seeing that there is an update available? Thanks, great videos, extremely helpful. Greetings from the UK.
Glad I found this, not sure if I can update my old iMac Mid 2011, I got the ram masked out and the drive needs to be replace, but I can use the Ssd, I have done it for Snow Leopard and works great! Just using the old apps where the new OS can't do them.
I installed over the existing data on a 2015 MBP that had a 1TB SSD I'd installed and the build in 16 GB of Ram. I do audio production and have a ton of virtual instruments and plugins that don't seem to get reinstalled properly when coming from Time Machine to a fresh disk - they install fine but they no longer recognize being licensed to the machine. Takes a lot of time to sort out. Experience so far has been great - the new os opened up an extra 100 GB on my SSD and so far everything except one plugin runs fine. It's not something I use very often so I'll just delete it and move on.
after your video i will be taking my old mac mini (late 2014) to sonoma. the main computer is windows 11 . so I'll make a back up and start on the mission 😂
@@AnsonAlexander Update. I did the upgrade yesterday, the machine had the following characteristics: Processor 2.6 dual core I5 Graphics intel iris 1536mb Ram 8gb 1600MHz Ddr3 Ssd 1tb evo. The process took more or less 6 hours. 1 hour for the data back up on a usb that I had 256gb. also two hours to fix the usb with the sonoma on a usb 3.1 (Kingston 32gb). after 2 hours the software installation. and in the last hour I ran into a problem that for some reason did not see my ssd and I had to make a partition (1024mb fat32) to work the machine without the usb. it was a very nice process for me because I learned something more.patcher v1.3.0. And last the machine works a little slowly but it does the job I want it to do.
Great video. Very helpful. I have iMac late 2009. It runs High Sierra. When trying to upgrade to Big Sur, using the USB installer, the installation process gets stopped after 2-3mn. A mouse animation & a disk animation appear followed by a link to apple support. I have a standard magic mouse and a usb-cabled keyboard. Your support is highly appreciated. Best, Antoine
That was a nice experiment and kudos to the Opencore Team for all the positive experiences out there but in my case (late 2013 macbook pro with 8gb of RAM) it didn't work out. I wanted to repurpose the machine to mostly run server packages (nextcloud AIO, smb and Lyrion music server) since its very quiet on the low load of these software but keeping the MacOS UI that I like for basic desktop. Unfortunately I found it would shutdown randomnly after about 2 weeks due to some unclear issue. Then it started getting very slow. Maybe an update of Sonoma was automatically installed and I should have tried a Root Patch? In short it stopped being the trouble free machine I needed and I tend to get bogged down trying to sort out this sort of issues so I installed Ubuntu and boom, my old hardware is supported again, and as I use the desktop environment only for browsing, email and other basic tasks when I don't have my main laptop handy. Glad to see my experience is an outlier.
Good tutorial and information, however for my 2014 13" MBP it is a fail. The OS seems to work OK, I am using it now. However, since 14.5 apps often quit unexpectedly. The use of the cursor keys, right click or ctrl click causes this to happen on multiple apps including Finder, Safari, Calendar and more. It means it is almost unusable. I am using it now, but am trying to remember not to hit a cursor key or I will lose this post before posting! It's almost as if Apple are fighting back against this with the 14.5 update!
I did successfully upgrade from Catalina to Sonoma 14.5 with my MacBook Pro I5 Mid 2012 16GB RAM. I used the clean install and here are my observations a. I am having problem with making any windows/program to maximize screen size the program just hang and i have to force shut down the laptop b. MS Teams always hangs, slow response, sometimes it auto close, then I will need to force shut down the laptop c. Serial Number became unavailable on the system information For now, I will try to downgrade and check what will be compatible especially on MS teams. Thank you
The video is done really well but I would have liked to know the outcome of your other 2 videos BEFORE I followed this video to upgrade my OS. If you're thinking about doing this, PLEASE watch the other 2 videos in his series after this one on this topic.
I did a fresh install as well on my mid-2015 15" MBP. The post-install menu in OCLP app is showing me that all applicable patches are installed, so I'm guessing I shouldn't have to run it again. The only thing I've noticed so far is that it spins up the fans really loud when the wallpaper animates as a screen saver on the lock screen. It takes a few minutes for them to cycle down, so I disabled that animation feature.
I’m trying to get Sonoma on my 2008 iMac. Everything was going well until the OS was loading. The macOS update assistant popped up telling me there was an unknown error. I tried it again with the same result.
The iMac 2011 gets stuck after the reboot. TO be more specific, I start installing Sonoma and after the first reboot (should be 3 normally), nothing happens. I guess this 2011 iMac is too old for Sonoma... am trying now with Monterey.
I have 3 annoying issues on my mbp 2015: 1- changing my language via keyboard shortcuts doesn't work only after multiple attempt 2- finder and some other apps crashes and it only work after restart 3- secondary click doesn't work with 2 fingers
I have been using an MacBook Pro Early 2015 8Gb on Sonoma with no problems until yesterday I have decided to sell it and deleted my user and created a new one for the new owner , since then the system is stuttering every 4 seconds. I have tried everything even a fresh reinstall, post patch installer , nothing worked. I have to go back to native Monterrey for the stuttering stop 😢
I have installed MacOS 14.3.1(Sonoma) & OCLP 1.4.3 on my Mac Pro(2012) CPU: Dual Xeon 3.46 GHz, 48 Gb ram, RX 580 8 Gb. 😀 I've tried MacOS 14.4.1 & OCPL, but Dictation of text doesn't work. 🙁 Dictation of text on MacOS 14.3.1.😀 I tried text dictation on an M2 Mac Mini, running Mac OS 14.4.1 in an electronics store, text dictation works.🤔
Thank you for this video! I've been using OpenCore from a clean install on a iMac 27, 8.0 GB, late 2014, Sonoma (14.4), for about 2 months now, but lately I've been experiencing various apps such Messages, Apple Mail, Safari, etc crashing. I'm also getting unexpected behavior from my Apple wired extend keyboard and magic wireless mouse. Rebooting resolves all my issues, but eventually in under an hour or so everything starts crashing again, but not always. I've ensured to do all the post updates etc. I tried accessing OpenCore support, but the links provided don't seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance..... Rick

I upgraded my MacBook pro2012 to Sonoma I cleared the hard disk and did everything else right but my MacBook still slows down and malfunctioned sometimes
Hello. I need your help. I've had Sonoma OS running perfectly on my 2012 macbook pro for many months. Using an internal 1 TB SSD. Then recently, a strange white screen has shown up in the finder that i cannot remove. It is conflicting with the Finder background and the desktop files are obscured by this ugly screen. I tried rebooting and also updating to a later version of Sonoma but the ugly white screen is still there. it does appear to be a glitch with the OS but i need to remove it since now I'm depending on this machine to get important work done. How can i troubleshoot this and hopefully eliminate it? I believe i still have the updated Sonoma installer on high capacity thumbdrive.
Hello! I am using a 2017 imac and wondering if I can use a SD card instead. Also, I am running Windows 10 on an older macbook so could I use this method with that? The partition to get back to Mac OS was deleted and I want to know if I can do it anyway. Thanks!
There is a way to install Mac OS on external device as well. There is a good youtube tutorial on it just search for how to install Mac OS on external drive just follow that and install it on your sd card. Peace
Hallo sir ,I like to thank for all your videos on mac ,I have upgraded my macbookpro late 2013 , my hdmi port is not detecting and wnever I switch on at thet time showes booteble drive disk ,please help me to short out
I have a 2015 MacBook Pro, and I just updated it to Sonoma. I noticed that my battery is draining faster than normal. Is there something I can do to fix that? Thank you.
I also have mid-2015 MBP, and I'm keeping an eye on that too. I had the battery recently replaced by Apple, so if it looks like this Sonoma upgrade is draining the battery too fast, I'll probably go back to Monterey which is the last macOS fully suported on this model.
Hey. Watched your video on installing macOS Sonoma but for some weird reason when I do the installation it will just reboot back into the recovery mode from the flash drive. Much thanks in advance
@@AnsonAlexander yeah I did exactly that and I was able to get it installed. Thanks so much. Got another question. I was thinking of doing bootcamp. Do you think this is possible with the current set up ?
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, turn off FileVault (perhaps I'm the stupid one for not knowing this) otherwise the installation will not proceed
Maybe someone can help me here. I did the upgrade to my early 2015 MacBook Pro. I can install it to the internal upgraded NVME SSD, but I can’t install an EFI partition on it, rendering it unusable unless I have my USB stick in. For some reason OpenCore can’t identify my Internal SSD. I don’t know what to do.
The steps you laid out were pretty simple but so far i've tried multiple times and keep getting the error : "This copy of the Install macOS Sonoma application is damaged, and can't be used to install macOS. I've tried 2 different USB sticks, and tried with Wifi on and off. This is a Mac Pro Late 2013 (trashcan one). Not sure what else i can try
I have Macbook pro late 14 running BigSur os. however during reboot, it showed “this copy of install macOS Sonoma application is damaged, and can’t be used to install macOS” i tried 2 types using different usb drive still the same. appreciate your help
Hi! I'm trying to install opencore on 2015 MacBook Pro 15" and when I restart the computer to get the EFI Boot option, it doesn't show up. I press the option button, the installer is on the external USB. What could be the problem? I'm on Big Sur, and the SSD in it was changed already to OWC Aura. Maybe that could be an issue? Thanks!
Hey, interesting situation, especially with the replaced SSD. First of all, make sure you're building the installer on that computer, on the Big Sur installation. If you already did that, I would definitely try it first with another flash drive, or even just wiping the USB and rebuilding the installer. After that, I would (maybe) consider wipe the SSD and doing a fresh install of Big Sur (if it's been a while) and then building the installer again. Hope you figure it out, would love to hear back if you do. Good luck!
Hey i upgraded my mid 2010 MacBook Pro from high sierra to sonoma But ihave aproblem when starting it it displays many words and desk top is balck no sonoma what should I do 😢
Installed the macos sonoma 14.5 in my MacBook pro mid 2010 .challenges 1 showing cpu information while powering it 2 no display wallpaper just a black screen. Any help to me will be appreciated
Good Morning, I tried 3 times to download Sonoma open core. I keeps telling me that Sonoma is not compatible with my Mac. I have MacBook Pro Mid 2012. 16 GB of Ram. I followed the instructions and still can't download. Do you have any idea why my computer is not compatible? I appreciate the help.
I bought a new Mac Book last November operating Sono a and can’t poster print from it. I have to go back to the old desktop and use windows whenever I need to poster print. Very frustrating! Apple says it is an Adobe issue but no one seems to be fixing this.
I’m using the free Adobe Reader app. I don’t need anything more complicated than that (well, I never have before!). When I open up the print menu the “poster” option is greyed out and can’t be accessed. I’ve gone to “advanced” and there find a box which is permanently ticked that says something about “image print only supported”. Apparently it’s a known bug that they will presumably get around to fixing sometime but as Apple seems to be so popular with creative and designing type people you’d think they might prioritise correcting it. I need to poster print sewing patterns as I make dance costumes.
@@marilynwestbrook2678 Well, if it's an Adobe Reader issue, Apple doesn't have responsibility to fix it, Adobe does. Make sure that you have the appropriate driver for your printer installed. It kinda sounds like a printer driver function to me. Have you tried opening and printing the document with Apple's Preview application? It comes with every Mac and it's the default PDF and image viewer. For the majority of simple things you need to do with PDF, you don't need Adobe Acrobat on a Mac.
Can you still run Windows on Bootcamp after installing Sonoma via OpenCore Legacy? Bootcamp Windows is not showing up as a selections choice when starting with Options depressed.
My 2015 MBP had been working well on Sonoma but today hangs after the login screen. I have the patches installed. Tried a fresh install but it says can't downgrade (must have subsequently updated to something newer?). Doesn't load in safe mode but does into recovery mode. No idea what to try now!

I had some issues. after watching your video I did that with my MacBook Pro 2015. 8GB RAM ( I install it without wiping the disk) Issue: When I put my MacBook to sleep for a long period example I put it on sleep mode and if I open it after a few hours it doesn't wake up, I have to press the power button to turn it on. The performance is also bad, it works slowly when opening closing apps. What should I do? Reinstall it with wiping the disk or downgrade to old OS (Monterey) Thanks for your videos!
I'm assuming you've run all of the Post-Install Root Patches, have OpenCore Legacy Patched installed to the disk and have enough hard drive space. If all of that is true, I would really try it after wiping the HD, it just clears up a lot of crap that accumulates over the years. A fresh install really makes a big difference.
@@AnsonAlexander Thanks for your reply. Today I tried it again after wiping HD, and now my mac running perfectly without any issues. Everything is so smooth!! Chill!!!
I followed all of the steps in the 1st tutorial, and It keeps telling me to install opencore to my Internal Hard Drive. I have done this at least 5 times, and it still says I need to install it on my internal drive. Can you please help?
I'm having issues with the installation, It's giving me an error message: An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again
Does the macbook shuts down every time you put it to sleep? Also how does the bootup looks like, does it boots up like a normal mac? or shows any OCLP Logo? Please anyone clarify these
Yesterday I tried installing the lastest update to Sonoma that Apple released. During the install process my 2014 MacBook Pro that was running Sonoma previously froze, so I did a hard reboot. When my desktop came back on, the mouse is frozen. If I try to reinstall the drive with the USB flash drive, I just get a black screen. If I boot up with out it, the mousepad doesn't work. I tried connecting a mouse to it via USB cable, but that didn't work. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
I think a PRAM rest (Command + Shift + P + R) on startup should do the trick. May have to use an external keyboard but I'm able to use the built-in MBP keyboard for this.
@@AnsonAlexander thank you. I tried that, and was able to restore everything back to Big Sur. I have been trying to reinstall Sonoma for three days (since Friday morning). Every time I try it says there is an HTTP error. Today I installed Macos Sequoia on my MacBook 9,1 through software upgrade and then applying root patch. Everything is good but iPhone mirroring and facetime calling not working. Pl help
Hi, great tutorial, although I have run into a slight problem, whenever I install opencore onto the hard drive and restart and afterwards take my usb drive out and later restart again, my computer bluescreens and shows that it needs recovery by the usb drive. And when I restart it again using the usb drive the same issues occur. Help would be greatly appreciated, please let me know if this can be fixed by wiping the computer clean or if it seems like a hardware issue or something else.
That model is fully supported by Apple for macOS Sonoma, so this video series doesn't apply. That being said, if you're comfortable with Ventura, and you don't have a specific reason to upgrade to Sonoma (apps that require it), Ventura will still be fully supported by Apple for one more year after the next macOS is released (usually in October). Apple fully supports the most recent three versions of macOS. As of this writing, it is Sonoma, Ventura, and Monterey. When they release a new macOS version later this year, they'll drop Monterey, but Ventura will still be in the list for one more year. You can defer upgrade until you really have to.
Can anyone help me! I have MacBook pro 2012 and have unsupported update as shown here, all good. But I recently reset the SMC (don't do it!) and now have black screen. I've tried different things, but nothing!
I run into an issue recently. Quite a few times when I turn on the laptop it will be white background. Last time I fixed it by installing the root patcher. This time it just stuck at the the log in screen after I input the password. I wonder if you have any idea on how to fix it without losing any data? Appreciate it.
IMPORTANT: After running a normal software update, run Post-Install Root Patch in the OpenCore Legacy Patcher application again. As @SirPalimPalim mentioned, if your Bluetooth isn't working (automatically turning off after turning it on), reset the PRAM/NVRAM by holding Option + Command + P + R on a reboot.

Is your mac any faster/more responsive when using Sonoma vs the previous (supported) mac OS?
@@josephfarrugia2350 Honestly, it's about the same, i wouldn't say it's any faster, definitely not any slower though, so it's still good, and I had no problem with it before.
A while ago I did swap out the Hard drive for an SSD on my 2012 model, and that made a HUGE difference, and made it so much faster, and responsive, it even booted up way faster.
How about the performance? Lagging ?
We have the same model. But mine has a problem for the performance. Lagging😢
Buddy, this is an excellent tutorial video. Especially showing the entire process and informing about the restarts was very helpful 🤝
Currently it’s up and running but the fan keeps turning on and off, but I’m chalking that up to the system going crazy trying to reindex as well as my BackBlaze going hard too haha
I see now Photos is migrating now too.
How did it go? I’m working on the same device n got an error message but trouble shooting through
Got Sonoma 14.3 up and running with no problem whatsoever, my question is: Do I have to apply the OpenCore patch before updating every time, seeing that there is an update available? Thanks, great videos, extremely helpful. Greetings from the UK.
It’s best to it every time AFTER running the normal software update - great question
Glad I found this, not sure if I can update my old iMac Mid 2011, I got the ram masked out and the drive needs to be replace, but I can use the Ssd, I have done it for Snow Leopard and works great! Just using the old apps where the new OS can't do them.
You are awesome, was contemplating getting a new macbook. Thanks a bunch
The iMacs I've worked on are so easy to upgrade the RAM. You only need to remove a cover on the underside of the monitor.
after your video i will be taking my old mac mini (late 2014) to sonoma. the main computer is windows 11 . so I'll make a back up and start on the mission 😂
Sounds good, would love to hear how it goes!
@@AnsonAlexander Update.
I did the upgrade yesterday, the machine had the following characteristics: Processor 2.6 dual core I5
Graphics intel iris 1536mb
Ram 8gb 1600MHz Ddr3
Ssd 1tb evo.
This really cleared things up for me.
I didn't have to boot to safe mode and I never formatted my hdd. Thank you so much but i did put on ventura mac os on my 2013 imac
Thanks👊
You’re welcome!! Thanks for the coffee!
I used the clean install and here are my observations
a. I am having problem with making any windows/program to maximize screen size the program just hang and i have to force shut down the laptop
b. MS Teams always hangs, slow response, sometimes it auto close, then I will need to force shut down the laptop
c. Serial Number became unavailable on the system information
For now, I will try to downgrade and check what will be compatible especially on MS teams.
Thank you
The video is done really well but I would have liked to know the outcome of your other 2 videos BEFORE I followed this video to upgrade my OS. If you're thinking about doing this, PLEASE watch the other 2 videos in his series after this one on this topic.
Tried to load 14.5 on my late 2012 iMac but started to get flaky and slowdown with artifacts
Will reinstall with earlier OS
Not quite there yet!!
Great advice!

Try high serria it’s fast with my mid 2010 MacBook Pro and is the offical last os that you can install normally
I had a problem when using my iPad as a second screen. It’s super glitchy and hazy, not sure what to do.

I have been using an MacBook Pro Early 2015 8Gb on Sonoma with no problems until yesterday I have decided to sell it and deleted my user and created a new one for the new owner , since then the system is stuttering every 4 seconds. Rick
An important question is: how fast/responsive/memory intensive is a Late 2013 MBP on Sonoma vs the same Late 2013 MBP on for example Mojave?
Is it faster/more responsive/less memory intense/etc on Sonoma?
works for me... my macbook specs are same like yours.. thanks..the only thing im trying to do is to disable/hide the 2-3 seconds boot option screen..any solution for this? thanks in advance.
Can you dual but to keep old install and a fresh sequoia install

Same happened if you tried upgrade from Maverick to Big Sur (well first tried to 10.10 via usb, but still won't on Mid 2010 MBPro)..
I updated my unsupported Mac Pro 5,1 to Sonoma. Since then my TV app opens but when I click on my library it shuts down.
mine doesnt even turn on anymore lol
Can i use it as my daily driver does it have any bugs
Peace
Can you tell me how to find out if my macbook pro is compatible? Thanks

At what point of the installation process did you end up getting to? Did you try the safe mode reboot?
@@AnsonAlexander yeah I did exactly that and I was able to get it installed. Thanks so much. Got another question. I was thinking of doing bootcamp. Do you think this is possible with the current set up ?
Awesome, great to hear! It should be, I have BootCamp on my iMac running Sonoma.

Good luck!

What app are you trying to poster print from? What happens when you try?
I install sonoma on my MacBook 2012 with 6gb n it’s slow I mean very slow what should I do

I had some issues. after watching your video I did that with my MacBook Pro 2015. 8GB RAM ( I install it without wiping the disk)
Issue:
When I put my MacBook to sleep for a long period example I put it on sleep mode and if I open it after a few hours it doesn't wake up, I have to press the power button to turn it on.
The performance is also bad, it works slowly when opening closing apps.
What should I do?
Reinstall it with wiping the disk or downgrade to old OS (Monterey)
Thanks for your videos!

Should I update my M1 air to Sonoma, I have been debating it out of fear of an issue occurring (I would be updating from Ventura)
M1 is one of the newest MacBooks, go ahead and update and don't consider stuff for old MacBooks like 2012 and so on xD
