- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 1990 Ferrari 348TS. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
I think these cars don't get the appreciation they deserve. They are gorgeous cars.
I personally think the 348 looks BETTER than the 355. It's probably because of the 'cheese-slicer' air vents and the 'hidden' rear light cluster.
The reason why I think the 348 is the 'unloved' Ferrari is because around late 1980s Ferrari's new boss criticized the 348 harshly in public. This is a car that bridges the old-school 328 and the first modern 355.
The 348 deserves more praise.
348 means 3.4 liter engine and 8 cylinders.
The same is true for other models.
Until today actually. The 458 stands for 4.5 Liter V8. The 430 stands for 4.3 Liter. and 355 stands for 3.5 Liter Cinquevalvole. :)

I love how they homaged the Testarossa with this car.
Gotta love that exhaust note...nothing comes even close to comparing!
It doesn't sound like any v8 I know.
22 year old car and it still kicks ass.....
Gotta love the classic Ferrari's!!
This is probably my fav Ferrari. It just looks good, and sounds good. Great video!
I don't really understand why people are so critical about this car. Imho, the car is extremely well proportioned, especially the rear. The car looks extremely low and wide, from dead rear view, and the "black ground effects" are totally period correct. In fact, if those are painted in body color, like with the later GTB and GTS model, it just makes the whole car look dated in a bad way, whereas this example car looks like Italian 1980's at its best.
The critics simply have no clue. The 348 was the first modern Ferrari, it was much better than the previous 328. The 348 was the very first series production Ferrari to be built with monocoque bodywork. Its engine was mounted longitudinally, just as was in the 288 GTO, which gave the 348 a superoir road handling over the 308/328. And it sounds more throaty on the outside than a 355, 360, 430 or 458, just because the noise regulations weren't that tough when the car was introduced. You can legally fit the 348 with a truly loud exhaust, no fold exhaust. The lowers were always painted rough black on earlier Testarossa and 348, because they are heavily exposed to street dirt and gravel. But customers preferred to have them painted, which makes no sense from a technical perspective, but eventually Ferrari caved in and painted them in body color on later 348 and the 512TR. That said, I think the 308/328 models look much better than the 348, but the 348 is still a remarkable car.
this is my favorite looking "modern" ferrari the wide and low look of the back end is just great, even the 458 looks a little bug-eyed back there
Kyle, youve bought me forever with this
I bought one of these that was in ok condition for about 23,000 dollars, fixed it up, restored interior and exterior, and sold it for $38,000! Very nice car. Driving it was fun.
I just watched this because i saw my uncle's ferrari cars collection and this 348 ts took my attention
not a huge 80's car fanatic, but this one is awsome.
A friend of mine was able to buy a rough shape 91 base for around 28k, fixed it up over 3 months as a project, spending under 10k and sold it for 80. It was in amazing condition after being restored.
I like it. A well proportioned classic wedge shaped Ferrari with all that nice leather in the interior and the sound of a Ferrari v8.
Nice timing turning on the stereo when "More than a Feeling" is blasting on that radio station, BTW ;)
And to all the people repeating what LDM said, first: this car was a huge leap to what the 308/328 was and on par with the specs of the rivals in its debut day. Just because he lost a drag race (yup, ferraris even today really excel in drags... or not) and got his pride hurt said those bad words about this thing and those harsh words still echo today giving this model the bad reputation it has.
Ive always loved the look of those huge side louvers on some ferraris! I wish ferrari would bring those back!
I would so love to have one of these one day! They're not the most famous or fastest Ferraris, but they look absolutely awesome and I'd bet they're not as difficult to care for as most would think.
this is an amazing car
Ooh, yowser's, that buzzer is a killer!! Really Nice Ferrari. U don't see a lot of these early 90's Ferrari's
I watch his videos during school!
Buying this car would not be for speed. It's about the passion about cruising in one of the most beautiful cars in the world being able to shift by yourself and enjoying an orgasmic exhaust note
pop-up headlamps is what the world needs!
Ah, the Ferrari that Ferrari guys love to hate. It's a stunning car, and while the V8 output is less than that of a V6 Camaro or Mustang today, it is far more refined, and in its day, it was a pretty amazing vehicle. These are already classics.
Very nice Ferrari it reminds me of the 308s Tom Selleck's character drove in Magnum, P.I., but that was in the 80s. This must be the 308's successor. I also love those pop-up headlights, very classy looking!
nothing makes me happy than watching your videos kyle after a hard day at school lol
In my opinion, this is the ultimate flagship for Ferrari.
Awesome car...almost any Ferrari is pretty cool. I like the gated shifter and it sounds great!
gotta love an old stick shift ferrari, plain and simple for pure driving pleasure
Its crazt how obvious it is that the 348 got its styling cue's from the later fiero gt that came out before the 348. SO similar
I hate how UNDERRATED is this Ferrari 🥺
on of the best looking ferrari. Simple yet great shape
+jippalippa That's the way I feel about the 1995 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta. Classic look, from back when Enzo was still alive.
Christopher Walker Enzo Ferrari wasn't Alive in 1995
09:02 great music in a classic Ferrari!
My brother got 94 348 Spider and it's beauty :)
Man, the interior quality is real good!
this radio is awesome :DD
What a beautiful car! Outside of the annoying horn buzzer lol...great video as always Kyle!
the engine sounds as good as new!
Gotta love the Ferraris from this time period! Good job on the video, Kyle.
That buzzing noise before startup made my head explode...
Great Car Great Review! love all cars with pop up headlights, wish they still made em.
@rizrz34 It's the transmission. 1 is where 2 would be in your normal 5speed, 2 is where 3 would be, 3 is where 4 would be, 4 is where 5 would be, and 5 is where Reverse would be ( depending on the transmission, i know a lot of german cars R is to the left of 1st )
best 90s car ever these look so good in red I sure do miss those pop up headlights:( I wish they would make production in modern cars:(
YES! My favorite ferrari. Followed by the 355gts, 512tr & then the 458
You're getting really talented at these reviews, Kyle - you did this whole thing whilst doing 10 mph!
richard hammond from top gear would love this car..
he loves pop up headlights hahah
Beautiful ride
I have always loved these older Ferraris. Too bad you couldn't find a 355 with a 6 speed, that's my favorite Ferrari.
i love how your first video is lil john bia bia
this car is cool... i'm trying to get one for personal use and more...happy motoring!
My favorite ferrari ♥ :3
I just want to say........WOW!!!!!!
Excellent video, I've always loved the Fiero
Always wanted this model. I think they go for 30-40k in nice shape. I just worry about maintenance costs. 😨
Buy soon. I've been watching 348s climb up to high 40s for a clean US car. Budget for a complete engine-out service, and lose little to no money at resale time.
+Ryan Abdo Who cares about maintenance costs? When spending over 350k on a Car?
great car. your reviews are fantastic
never expected you to do a testarossa! i love em!!!
Oh god, that buzzer!!! I would rip that thing in a heartbeat
As an owner of a Fiat and a Fezza, Italian cars have the worst warning chimes ever! Part of the charm.
I was thinking the same thing. I couldn't deal with it.
+Andrew Dion (TravellAll901) I drive a 1993 jeep Cherokee and my buzzer is almost identical to that, just slightly lower pitched and it really pisses me off haha!
+Andrew Dion (TravellAll901) Its the same buzzer for closing train doors in Belgium :D
+Tom Jacobs same buzzer in Indian trains horn
@jakev3663 He did. The first top one is reverse.
My dream car!
Very nice video. I like the gauges, so simple. Will you the red Porsche 911 (993)? Or one of the newer 911s in front of the Ferrari? Those are so gorgeous!
Awesome ! ( 1990 Ferrari 348 TS.m4v ) love the title :D
Damn this makes me feel old, I remember when these came out and thought it was so cool. Looks so dated now, heck it doesn't even have an airbag yet.
that beep when u open the door :D:D!!
wish i had this so cool
I think these car looks awesome. I don’t care what other people think about it.
Can't beat pop-up headlights and a gated manual shifter
It has headlights and hazards? NO WAY! JUST BLEW MY BRAINS OUT CAN'T COMPREHEND SUCH TECHNOLOGIES IN MY TINY SKULL AHHH! Ahah but I can tell you put some work into these videos and they're definitely thorough, exhaustively... How do you get access to all of these vehicles? Are you a dealer or such? I know if you roll up to most dealerships in nice enough car or even walk in well dressed, clean cut and speak coherently most guys will throw you the keys to some surprising cars indeed!
Looks SO much like the 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT I had. The 145hp wasn't anything like the power this tiny V8 makes tho...
i dont know about other people but i fuckin love pop up lights
more than a feeling-boston
@daveinfl26 i guess the problem on most cars is that the buzzer goes off as soon as you have the door open and the key in the ignition.
i love old ferrari´s and lamborghini´s.really prefer them over the new ones
The 348 is the best preforming of the least douchy Ferraris, no matter how hard you drive it.
@TheSaikou96 Right. Take any engine. Max out it's output performance, you'll see it won't stay running 100% without TONS of frequent maintenance work...
I damn LOVE Foreign Cars Italia :D Always give some good things to Kyle
omg pop up headlights SO MUCH WANT
you really need some kind of steady cam (steadicam) digital or otherwise for the exterior shots. awesome subject
nice reviews!
To me, they are not the flashiest, but they are not ugly
great video the back reminds me a bit of a testerossa model :)
that buzzer f rip it out nightmare
Price $ 42,500 (from foreign cars italia site)
awesome car, everything you need!
the 1989-1995 Ferrari 348 was assembled in
Maranello, Italy
Kyle, before you do the interior tour of the car, can you please install the driver's seat belt to turn off buzzers? You can easily sit on the belt while you do your tour. And we won't have to listen to annoying buzzers!
Thumbs up this message so he can see it, please.
Now I see why some people turn their Pontiac Fieros into Ferrari lookalikes. Pretty cars.
Oh Por Dios! Te Amo Kyle!
my dream car. a classic
Wow, Cool one Kyle!!
@saabkyle04 good review but that sqeeling from the car every time you opened the door was doing my head in haha
hey kyle! great video as always. PLEASE O PLEASE can you do my favorite vehicle, Delorean dmc-12?!?!?! thanks kyle, and keep up the good work, you deserve the good reviews and what not
wow really cool car
you can tell it shares alot of the styling with the Pontiac Fiero GT
Thanks for the great Video's saabkyle04.
Great Job!
@TheSaikou96
It's a Ferrari, not a Toyota, these classic Ferraris are designed to maximize performance, at all costs. Buying an old Ferrari is possible, but the upkeep costs are killer.
@hyunwoooo The G35's engine wasn't even around in 1990.
Beautiful
348 & F355 my favourite Ferraris
I want one
I love the sound of old Ferrari V8's, much better than the 430 and 458.
2:13 - 2:17 THE BEST PART !
