this car is incredible..I'm still in awe of it even watching in 2019...it is a much more intricate car, compared to the rolls royce..n yes it definitely has class..n it is a different animal compared to the regular s class..it is longer, taller wider and it has its own unique interior..unlike the maybach's of today which basically is an s class with different trims..this maybach 62 has 2 brake calipers on each rotors..this car is above anything else on the market.

They are just as well built if not better than Bentley or Rolls Royce. The difference is, it has a lot more comfort features. The bentley have little declinable seats, where the Maybach can almost trnasform into beds. It has standard tables and champagne glasses made out of silver Bentley's are optional. The current S class Maybach is actually a little bit of a bargain but still very high quality.

This is such an amazing machine! So many fine touches. I find it funny though that it has the exact same infotainment system as the 2007 model. For that money I would want the newest system. That system can't even compare to a $25,000 dodge journey! Still an amazing car none the less!

Its styling is too much like the W220 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (2000 - 2006) to be costing half a million dollars, but if you’ve got money to burn why not spend it? I would be fine with a regular Mercedes-Benz S 560 4MATIC.
The door pull close actually has a use besides what it looks like, low effort. It allows the door to close much more snug than would be comfortably possible otherwise. I learned that from a couple car audio shops. They said ones with a pull down were usually the only ones that didn't complain about rattle with aftermarket high power subwoofers. Some you could adjust the catch but it would need to slam hard, more than some would physically be able to. Where as a pull down you close normal or light effort and end up with the same level of quiet. Plus esp with doors thicker seals would be possible without door slams, and possibly knocking the door panel clips loose in the process. My friends dad had a f-150 when that year they did thicker seals for a quieter cabin, which it was. However he hated having to pull the door hard so had them loosen it, no surprise then complained about wind noise.

DaltonThomas That’s kind of what it is. It was actually engineered in 1994 and styled in 2000. The platform is closely related to the W140 Mercedes-Benz S-Class from the 1990s. Its styling is too much like the W220 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (2000 - 2006) to be costing half a million dollars, but if you’ve got money to burn why not spend it? I would be fine with a regular Mercedes-Benz S 560 4MATIC.

The door pull close actually has a use besides what it looks like, low effort. It allows the door to close much more snug than would be comfortably possible otherwise. I learned that from a couple car audio shops. They said ones with a pull down were usually the only ones that didn't complain about rattle with aftermarket high power subwoofers. Some you could adjust the catch but it would need to slam hard, more than some would physically be able to. Where as a pull down you close normal or light effort and end up with the same level of quiet. Plus esp with doors thicker seals would be possible without door slams, and possibly knocking the door panel clips loose in the process. My friends dad had a f-150 when that year they did thicker seals for a quieter cabin, which it was. However he hated having to pull the door hard so had them loosen it, no surprise then complained about wind noise.
Imagine the amount of cows they killed to wrap all that in leather.
