No BS and Total respect for hearing a proper drivers opinion on a car most people will never understand..A amazingly detailed description and natural commentary.. Nailed that Ben, great video 👌

I would say 296 is underrated but the truth is journalist/reviewers in the know raved about it and said it’s one of the best driving experiences ever, very impressive given the long list of great Ferraris. Me personally, I’m a McLaren/Porsche GT car fanboy…..which is why I am blown away too by how good this car is to drive. The agility/sharp front end/immediate power delivery/impressive sound makes it a blast to drive at any speed, the fact that it’s bat shit fast is just an added bonus.
Did they rave about it? I never heard a peep so I was blown away by this car - Ferrari v secretive about the differential but stay tuned for my interview with their test driver who err - kinda gave it away 😜
@@BenCollinsDrives Some did, Chris Harris, Henry Catchpole, Jason Cammisa all were very positive about it saying it's the best ferrari in a long time. Throttle house also gave it a good review
I went for a 296 GTB over the 992 GT3 RS. It is spectacularly good, remarkably compliant and yet explosively quick. Has both depth and versatility that the 992 GT3 RS doesn't have. I'm lucky enough to have a 991.2 GT3 RS as well, real world there is very little difference between the 991.2 and 992 RS, so in some respects I have the best of both worlds. It will be interesting to see where Porsche goes with the 992.2 GT3 RS. At the moment Ferrari seems to be knocking it out of the park.

Ferrari knew they had something when they let Alfa develop the V6 for the Quadrifoglio. Lovely, nimble V6 that's a modern step up from the 458 italia without losing the drama and excitement
Great production quality! As a collector, I own both the SF90 AF spider and a 296 GTS. While the 296 sounds better and is more nimble, I don't feel it's as special as the SF90. The looks are meh in my opinion, especially when compared to my F8. To my eye, the best angle is the side profile, where the bulging hips are on full display. If it's your only modern Ferrari, the 296 GTS without AF is a wonderful piece. However, with other Ferrari's in my garage, the 296 isn't the one I'm drawn to drive.

Wonderfully shot and wonderfully presented. I will say that I don't like the fast forward shots, which is odd because slow motion works great. Thanks!
The delta integral would be enough for me! Love em. Not that into Ferraris except the vintage gto's. But I know a guy who has one of the little new dino's. Boootiful little beast. You certainly do them justice with your videos. Informative and you take us on a nice journey. Bless
This sure does manage to capture the essence of Top Gear with the production and editing. Makes me wonder if Ben managed to snag a few people from the crew.
Brilliant job Ben, very enjoyable. Top job. John
Glad you enjoyed it
Kudos to the camera car captain ! Nice bit of driving.
What a brilliant review Ben. Great car and great cinematography great commentary Ben. Rather envious of your sub below called Mr Bond 0074 who took delivery of his 296 2 weeks ago. 😃👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍Well done him 👍👍👏👏
6:00 angle-shaped side glass, like on Lancia Stratos😎😎🔝🔝🇮🇹🇮🇹
And so the old ´Italian Tune-Up’ was giving it the beans to clean out the engine, has now moved to putting it in competition mode giving it the beans to charge up the hybrid battery quicker, great to hear some old school tricks live on 👍
Great episode Ben, Ferrari looks mega in green. Nice nod to Miami Vice super. Look forward to the next episode
Thanks!
The old guy trying to explain the Stig that he can't park the Ferrari in that spot was very sweet
like someone else said this felt a bit like good old top gear ❤
Just viewied after several months missing some videos, just gotta say the videos are getting better and better!
