The first stick that broke landed on the cymbal and when she hit it later the broken piece flew in the air, so she only broke the stick once.

This is the song that hooked me, this song is amazing because of the amount of energy they produce, what I mean by that, Ale's killer bass lines, Pau destroying those drums, and finally Dany's killer guitar riff to exit the song, that's what blew me away. Pau broke her stick and without missing a beat she replaced it, the chunk you talk about was the part that broke off, it landed on one of the hats. The Warning are true professionals and at such a young age. You have been warned, again I imagine.

One of the amazing things about this band is, when they write about heavy topics, like, say broken relationships or murder suicide, they are 100% not writing from experience. It is all from their vivid imaginations. They have told us so on many occasions. How they so accurately discuss topics which they have no personal experience with, is owed to being well-read, and just generally mature. At this age (11 to 15), I was busy just figuring out how to sneak through class with gum in my mouth.

Just wait for the kind of music that will be produced from these three when they begin to experience life for themselves, experiences that they have written and sung about. With this talent, I'm expecting nothing but fire from their later years!

This was at a TedX talks in 2016. It was sponsored by University of Nevada. This was filmed at the casino where The Warning was playing a show later that evening. Their first album *XXI Century Blood* was just released. They were at the TedX Talks the year before.
One one stick broke. A piece broke off and landed on a cymbal. When Pau (POW) hit that cymbal. That piece went flying. Given the illusion another stick broke. Only one stick broke.

Thanks for reacting to this one. This is one of the most iconic performances by The Warning, despite the weird setting in front of a TED TALK conference audience. Reasons are: The speach at the beginning with Dany's famous quote: Music is passion, music is hope, music is life. Pau's infamous drumstick break and they amazing way she kept going, one of the best TW songs and the great performance. Truely a classic of their young career.

Love your reaction! Yes- this was from a TED Talk from early 2017. This was the 2nd TED Talk they were invited to in 2 years. At this time they were 16, 14, and 12 years old. To clarify, Pau only broke 1 stick. It snapped and a piece landed on the cymbal. She changed out the stick and later hit that cymbal and the piece flew off. And Yes...Ale (bass) did turn and look at her to see what was happening.

Pau breaks lot of gear - only 1 stick in this case: broken piece came to rest on cymbal then flew off. She’s adapted her style, and adjusted her cymbal angles a bit, but she’s still a Punisher! Their energy and intensity is addicting. Glad you did it, but you really, really need to drop everything and review their rendition of Enter Sandman that they produced for the Metallica Blacklist album. It sounds like nothing you have heard before, but still somehow pays homage to the original. They created the arrangement, collaborated with Alessia Cara and filmed a video in one week. It was also picked up as a promo song for Marvel Midnight Sons video game. Your mind will be blown. You have been Warned.

I'm a bass player, so here; look at the 1st fret (on top of the nut) on Ale's Fender Bass...that black thing is a hair scrunchie. Bass players use those sometimes if they want just a touch more "muting" of string overtones/and preventing possible muddy sounds because of more than one string resonating at the same time. Example; if I leave my left hand completely off the bass neck, then strum all 4 strings at same time w right hand, well, it would sound like crap and be very "muddy" sounding until I muted the strings w left hand again! FREE LESSON!

It's the same broken stick that goes flying the second time.
When it breaks, it lands right on the cymbal, and it goes flying when she hits it later in the song.

I have listen to this gig at the ted talk at least 50 times and i never get tired of it. TW have great energy, they are fun to watch and PAU the drummer is insane on her drums. Now they have started to make it big and are out there playing arenas. This is going to be the next huge rock band, an inspiration to their audience, young girls and role models when it comes to not changing their look to make it. If you listen to the complete video of this Ted Talk you are going to understand why they do what they do and why. You are also going to understand why they didn´t sign with a major label until recently. TW don´t write bad songs, I am sure they are unable to because they never do fillers. I like your reaction keep on rocking down that rabbit hole of The Warning.

What is a TED Conference and WHY was THE WARNING ASKED TO SPEAK??
Two or more times a year, a group of industry leaders and impactful people gather for a unique multi-day TED experience - which attendees have described as "the ultimate brain spa" and "a journey into the future in the company of those creating it." Dedicated to TED’s global mission of researching and sharing meaningful new ideas, conference speakers are selected by our curatorial team who identify and investigate ideas and innovations that matter.
We invite prominent academics, educators, researchers, philanthropists, environmentalists, scientists, technologists, artists, activists and others to attend and present short lectures - our signature TEDTalks - in their areas of research and expertise. It's a winning formula of brilliant, curious minds and groundbreaking content in an immersive and educational environment. On that note:
The WARNING is the ONLY band that was not only asked to SPEAK at that years Conference, but to perform as well, to emphasis how they got started, what influenced them and what interactions spirited them to where they are today (at that time). The Warning is the ONLY musicians, The ONLY BAND EVER asked to Speak at a TEd Conference (and perform), but to do it again the following year!
    www.ted.com/about/conferences
You can see the big difference in the quality of their performance and public speaking between the 2016 to the 2017 Ted Talks: th-cam.com/video/pj5ue3M-v6o/w-d-xo.html In 2017, having just finished their first album XXI Century Blood (privately funded by patreons and other supporters) and in honor of one of their favorite bands being in town that night they learned (in 4 days) Metallica’s Atlas Rise to astounding praise.

When they opened for The Killers, she thought she had broken her finger, but continued on playing the set. She did it so flawlessly, her sisters were not aware of the injury until after the show.
