You know, a lot of people are praising Animenz for his technique when he starts going off at 4:56, but I think everything before that was equally impressive. One of the hardest things for a pianist to master is a sense of touch and phrasing, and Animenz has come a long way from when he first started out. When you play a slower part, expression is key. And you have to give each note its own meaning. Animenz is a master in this regard. Well done!
Totally. And also at 4:56 not everyone notice the melody been played with the left hand, and the harmony on the high notes at the right, that was really well done.
Two days after my friend was murdered, I entered the room and sit to the piano, empty and unable to even shed a tear. The melody came to my mind so naturally. I touched the keys and realized I can't stop crying. Vogel im Kafig was my only way to grieve for her. I made my own arrangement then and used to play when I couldn't find another way to get away the numbness. It's been almost 8 years, but I can't play it ever since and even listening to it is still somewhat painful to these days, but it's a great masterpiece indeed, and performed so beautifully. I don't know how to put these feelings into words, but I'm glad I could listen to it today. Thank you, Animenz, once again.
What a great skill you have and such a healthy way to cope. At my worst moments I look at my piano and feel the urge to let out my emotions like that, though I still can’t play even after years of wishing. Thank you for such an amazing arrangement and performance! I am on my way to download this so I can listen to it, and reminisce of the times the titans still terrorised the walls
The way my phone vibrates at the last note reminds me of how the earth would shake when the rumbling happened..
i am korean. i love attack on titan and this song . thank for play this song!
It´s amazing to see your fingers float across the keys. It shows me how far I still can come in my piano journey
Some incredibly good piano techniques written into this. You've managed to write a beautiful arrangement that also doubles as a master class in piano writing.
The most beautiful song in all of Attack on Titan
I love that in this seasons ending, we see Eren in a cage, which probably refers to this song, so that Eren is the bird in the cage
This is one of the most beautiful videos on TH-cam! Just stunning.
I'd learned Theishter version of this song, but noticing already the arpeggios in this brings the depth of Vogel im Kafig to a whole new level. Magnificent piece of music.
This was the piece that got me into playing piano 8 years ago... Back then I really wished you had made an arragement of it, and now you actually did!
thank you for this birthday gift! Tomorrow, March 12th, I am celebrating my 20th birthday, you made me very happy with your new song on the channel! Best wishes!
That was awesome, man!
one of my all time favorites! it has everything! Joy, Sorrow, suspense, drama in its melody
You have no idea how amazing it was to wake up to this. I love your piano playing Animenz!!!
I am proud to say it but I will actually be performing your arrangement of Sparkle at a University haha thanks for releasing the sheet music!! It's been the most fun piece I've learned!!!
ayo, how do you manage that left hand melody in the beginning? i mean i can play the parts separately with right hand and left hand, but i just mess up everytime i try to play them together. any tips? also atb for your performance
@@mmukulkhedekar4752 Yea so they actually match up so you can line them up super easily. I am still polishing and finishing so I don't have much else besides, it's a lot easier than it looks once you realize. The end run and middle are just scales and are pretty easy after that. A lot of stuff looks syncopated but lines up so don't overthink it. Lmk if you have other questions!
@@elequa2220 hm, so you mean like each note of the right hand triad plays along with a note of the left hand melody? i have two quesions: what would you suggest to improve left hand strength. my left hand fingers aren't yet indepedent yet (thumb is weak in terms of agility, 3rd and 4th finger move together, 5th finger has no strength) and second question: should i practice the left-hand melody part together along with the triads in the right hand at a slower pace first and then increase the tempo to do it? or how do you suggest to practice that part. it frustrates me.
@@mmukulkhedekar4752 for your first question, practice is all I can recommend for left hand strength. Second, yes they line up and I started playing very slow and now I'm at speed.
@@elequa2220 thanks! good luck
That was really majestic, love your arrangement it’s such a pleasure to hear your music
I’ve listened to this many many times today and it gets better and better every time.
Such a perfect theme, the progression just fits so well with AoT.
It reminds of other shows too, like LoTR. Sometimes we wish we could stay in the shire.
4:56 that’s the most emotional, powerful, yet dreadful and depressing piece in the entire series!! 😭😭
Waited so long for this song to be done by Animenz... absolutely outstanding!
THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU FOR THIS AMAZING SONG
Vogel im Käfig IS MY FAVORITE SONG EVER
I've been waiting for this for literal years, this is great
