I'm about to try healing for the first time and had a top level protection Pally already. What a great and easy video on how to play this class. I thought I shouldn't be attacking more than healing, but the way you have explained the reason why you still do DPS is exactly what I needed. Thanks!

Perfect guide! Was a main healer in Cataclysm, AFKed since Pandaria. Recently picked up the game again during this pandemic. However, I was unable to heal. Feels like i was doing very bad at healing. I am going to try out this play style immediately!
Great guide really helped me a lot when I was struggling moving from Druid to Pally. Most other guides don’t explain why it works the way it does and give a good explanation of the play style keep it up. Would love to see more guides like this.

I’ve mained a holy pally for a few years now and this video is spot on. Very informative. If you’re thinking of playing holy pally it’s the most fun class I’ve every played. Only thing I have to add is that if you proc after holy shock I would use holy light instead of flash of light

I've played a holy pally since TBC and was even at one time a top 10 world pally (way back in the day) and I can tell you everything this guy says is on point.
I was struggling! Been playing a relaxed resto Druid...super easy play style but wanted to main my pally on the 3 specs. Tanking and ret were nice but omg healing on the pally 🧐😔😢🤬😱😭😤😳 lol. Your guide was excellent, really gave me a clear idea and some confidence to try it out again. Thx for posting 👏👏👏👍
Picked up WoW a month ago and decided to pick up Holy Pally as my first "real" class after trying a few ranged dps and struggling. This helped so much! Excited to get into raids and dungeons after I level up! Thanks man.
We usually tend to have a "natural playstyle" that makes fighting easier. To some it's ranged classes, to others it's melee classes :) I don't know how much you know about WoW, but I'll give you a small piece of advice anyways that I wish I knew when picking up the game. The leveling experience from 1 to 120 is the tutorial. The ONLY thing you get from 1 to 120 is a bit of story, and learning your class. The ACTUAL content doesn't start til you hit 120, and THIS is where you start having fun. :)
Dani Krossing I did some testing around with various dps until about level 30 and continuously would die doing simple 1v1s! That could also be me, but I thought I would try healing and tanking for a change (as I’ve only really played dps in other games)! Thank you for the advice!:) I’m really excited to get into the real game once I’m done levelling. Hoping I’m going to enjoy the ride, try and learn some new skills, and get used to the game! Looking forward to new videos on this channel and learning as much as I can! (Also going to be struggling with that university class balance and playing WoW but that just makes it more fun).
So glad I found this vid. Spent many years as Resto Druid , skipped the last two expansions and came back deciding to make my prot pally a healer since i'm too far behind to tank. Been struggling with it and the druid was fluttering her lashes at me but this explains a lot. I'm hoping since I've been playing WAR RoR as a Disciple of Kaine this should make more sense now i know the pally is supposed to be a front line healer like the DoK. Appreciate the video. I haven't healed since it's become a more melee oriented healer, and it was super rough going from Priest/Druid healer to Paladin, I leveled as a tank so it was a big difference lol
Thank you so so much! You helped me a lot. I learned to play the dps healing style but I always have problems when everyone gets damage. I'll try the last talent and I feel much more confident with using the cooldowns now. I always thought "maybe I need it later even more". But that's just silly when everyone dies right now. ;)

good vid, got one thing wrong tho. That being that the heal of Flash of Light in increased and not the cast time. The cast time of Holy Light is decreased tho which does change a bit in the rotation part of your vid. Most people value the throughput and mana efficiency that a swift Holy Light (faster then Flash of Light) which lets you get back to the bread and butter Crusader Strike, Holy Shock quicker and fish for another proc. Flash of Light is more often used as a OH SHIZZ spam heal when you are caught out of position to reduce CDs w/ Cru Strike until Flash of Light is back where youll reposition with your pony probably doing a dope feeling judgment into AOE if FoL gave you the time to pop both while repositioning (judge when within range AoE when at tank if given time) EDIT: Great Addon tips(a topic that should be explained more to newer players)

I recently leveled up a pally that was tank in legion but for bfa I wanna make him healer but when I try to do it I feel so confused and los haha. While I'm wondering if getting back to tank was a solution I found your video and get the tools to found fun in heal spec so thank you so much! 😬

I've healed for years on Priest, Shaman and more recently Monk, but HPal is something I was never able to "get" until now.

Based on this, I decided to have a crack at healing. Just my luck that it was a trial by fire... had a Russian-speaking tank that pulled huge packs. There were casualties, though I barely managed to keep the tank alive. By the end of the dungeon I was starting to get the hang of it, but damn, it was stressful. I'm not daunted, though. I already tank and DPS -- I'm determined to add heals to my portfolio as well. 'Martyr' is pronounced 'MAHR-ter', or /ˈmɑr tər/ with IPA symbols, by the way. Your English is fantastic! I can't place the accent.
Can you PLEASE make a video like this for Ret Paly? This video made me understanding how to play my Holy paly ALOT better, but when not in dungeons I have to use Ret Paly to solo quests and Im sure Im not doing it right. Thanks.
Great Video, I play Ret Pally Main, I have always struggled healing as a pally when it comes to multiple targets in a mythic dungeon taking But on a druid I find it much better and less chaotic, I really with they had some type of rejuv spell, but I will say when holy shock is up it is a Nice and glimmer of light does help, also i never tried that beacon talent before maybe that's all i need for multiple targets , thx again
Beacon of Virtue should u only play with if there is some bad affixes that needs alot of aoe healing, like bursting, or if u do not have 3x glimmer traits. When u get 3x glimmer traits u should allways ( exept on bad aoe healing affixes ) play Divine purpose :)
I’d love to see a judgment empowered with holy shock to create a DoT for Holy Pala exclusively! Reapply Holy Shock up to 2 times to increase DoTs dmg. Then use Judgment to consume the stacks as a “ Final Judgment “ which will also reapply the initial basic judgment effect on the target.
I was looking for help on paladins as I just started WoW, first time noob and found this channel. Im happy I did! this was fantastic! I love that you actually show the advice you give, in practical game situations. I love Paladins, but I am struggling with getting the healing down. Would you say Holy shock is the paladins main healing spell? like when we are fighting trash mobs and the party needs little touch ups, use holy shock instead of holy light? I do feel more confident in paladins though! ty for the video! liked/sub ^^v
Thank you. I'm a little confused having watched probably too many vid on how to play the holy paladin a lot of the "best" talents differ between videos. I'm a total noob to WoW and most of my party quit the first(and last) time I was the healer in the dungeon run. A few suggest the lvl 30 talent should be to extent the range of your heels to increase the distance you need to be to get the bonus for being close to the target. What do you think?

I really am new to the Paladin class. I'm most comfortable with tanking, but when my friends need a healer, I'm shoddy at it. This helps a lot!

If you take repentance to can chain stun with hammer of justice. This is helpful in mythics because holy pallys DO NOT have an interrupt

I always take blinding light mythic+. Aoe interupt is nice. Rule of law will stretch ur mastery range, increasing ur healing out put

Thank you. I'm a little confused having watched probably too many vid on how to play the holy paladin a lot of the "best" talents differ between videos. I'm a total noob to WoW and most of my party quit the first(and last) time I was the healer in the dungeon run. A few suggest the lvl 30 talent should be to extent the range of your heels to increase the distance you need to be to get the bonus for being close to the target. What do you think?
