Hey Shawn, I’ve never used electric tape, but it makes sense. Instead, I use rubber bands. Depending on the size and shape of your knife blade, different sized rubber bands are perfect. Needless to say, they’re made in various sizes- skinny, thick, thin, long, short- and so quick and easy to put on and remove, as well as clean b/c ya don’t have to deal with possible sticky tape residue. Anyway, thought ya might wanna give em a try if ya haven’t already.
Hey brother, I actually did try them and they work also and less to clean up however I cut myself pretty good trying to get them on tight enough that they stay put so that was the last time for that. This professional grade electric tape really works great for me!
Correct, for the time being. I’m testing if the bare metal clamp can be used consistently without scratching blades with my own knives. Also been messing with high quality electric tape. I’m always testing all options and observing the pros and cons!
that native chief lurking in the background is 🔥

Excellent tip!!⭐️❤️💯🥰
