    Thank You MK. It was perfect and the speed was right to follow. In most of the other videos, though they are quite helpful too, settings are too small on the right and fast to understand sometimes.
    Can you create video on sculpting face or character using sculpting? I could not see that in your published video list.
    Thank you once again and please keep doing.

    Thank you for another great tutorial! It would be even more helpful if you could explain more about what the options actually do. It's hard to learn when it's just: click this, activate that, but that only enables me to do exactly this one thing without understanding what exactly we are doing. You did that more later on in the video, it's so much better (I think).
    It is a really good tutorial, I love it when I follow one and things actually work as intended - that's not always the case. Awesome! ❤

    So I hope you may be able to point me in the right direction but I did hit a snag: The size of the teacup. I did everything with the monster size and it worked but the end result just didn't quite work for me. The size of the cup, It's waaaaay off and so I started from scratch and scaled it down to a more reasonable teacuppy size - I then followed all the steps again, I scaled the cube/fluid domain down and the emitter of course. It looks like before, only everything is smaller. I also applied the scale although it should not make a difference? Other than that I kept all your settings but it does not work anymore and I don't know where to look for what went wrong.
    When I bake the fluids, the emitted particles are huge and they also don't flow into the cup but fill up the domain cube and it's wild! (and yes, I did set the teacup up as effector, planar is checked for it.
    Do you have any idea why things are going completely wrong just because the size differs? I am lost...

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, sometimes we can get undesired results when we scale the simulation objects and domains. You mentioned that you applied the scale, which is the right thing to do. Make sure that you applied the scale not only to the domain and emitter but also to the teacup and any other objects involved in the simulation. Select each object and press Ctrl + A and choose "Scale" to apply the scale properly.
      After scaling down your scene, you may need to adjust the resolution of the fluid domain to ensure that it's suitable for the smaller scale. Increasing the resolution might be necessary to capture the details of the smaller fluid behavior.
      Check the initial velocity settings of your fluid emitter. If you scaled down the emitter, you might need to adjust the initial velocity to match the smaller scale. Reducing the initial velocity might help in preventing particles from spreading out too much.
      Fluid simulations can be complex, and sometimes it takes experimentation to get the desired results. Just try to make small adjustments and bake the simulation multiple times to see how it behaves.

      @@GraphicsMK First off: hugely grateful for your reply and the effort to help! Thank you so much!
      I only scaled down the teacup I got from your scene and recreated everything else at a smaller scale in a new scene (for which I did have to scale down the cube and so on, of course, but I did not scale down the complete finished scene from before - I tried that at first but saw right away that things were getting out of whack). The scale had been applied to all items in the scene.
      I had already tried to adjust the resolution of the domain but did not notice any improvement so I didn't keep it. Nothing else I have tried has made any difference at all (huge particles, filling the domain but not the cup) so I will give up on that one now. Seems a bit ridiculous but I just have no idea how things connect and where the culprit may be. (I did everything just the same, only on a smaller object, should not make a difference?)

      @@prajwalkharel9754 I am sorry to say that I have given up on the project. Not only could I not get it to work at a RL scale, I also could not figure out a way to get the liquid to calm down and even out after pouring.
      Unfortunately a lot of people make videos with - in my view - unfinished content, to just stop and skip that last part is.. kind of a cheat I feel. So - I was not too motivated to put too many more hours into it.
      If I ever look at it again and find a solution I will put it here. And if you find one, please let me know!

      If am able to figure out a workaround in the near future I will certainly revisit this thread. But from what I heard Mantaflow doesn't play well with small scale objects.

    If I do this in a project that I want the animation in it doesn't work, but if i use the exact same settings, sizes, objects, but in an empty project it works perfectly. can someone help me I don't understand. Does it just work only sometimes, or could it be something else? It's done this to me for years, no matter the update, and I don't know what's happening. P.S everything is inside the domain.

    Thank you for very useful tutorial! I have a question though - all is working when the size of the cup is by default, but for example what if i need to use bigger sized object (this cup for example)
    And when i scale this cup to much bigger size , the smoke is not working anymore, i mean it does appear but not rising up at all, it just stick to the emitter object. Do i need to increase the heat ?
    Thank you in advance for possible help and/or solution. All the best !

    • @GraphicsMK
      @GraphicsMK  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Firstly, be sure u refresh the simulation and baked it after u scaling up the cup. Secondly, after u scale up the cup,most probably u scale up the smoke flow object also. In this case, be sure that ur flow object still inside the domain. These may be possible issues.

    You know what else is strange? The fluid does not level out at the end of the scene it just stays bumpy. Is there a way to fix this? Sorry for the many questions but I really like things to look right if possible.
