Fun fact: When they originally made the Dairy Queen joke at 14:51, TFS weren't aware that there weren't any Dairy Queen's in the UK at the time, so it just gave the impression that Alucard took the car, covered it in goats blood, then took it across the Atlantic just to crash it into a Dairy Queen in the States. That's why when Alucard is ranting about everything being "his fault" at 1:52:05, he specifies he crashed the car into the world's first BRITISH Dairy Queen, suggesting they had opened one in the UK at one point, only for Alucard to wreck it, and that's why there wasn't anymore after.
Also they regret the R@pe joke. Rather having him say "Prayer time" or something like that. Also they wished did something other than Retarded. But also says it was also a sign of the times and bad jokes of the period.
The Schrodinger's Cat thing: the catboy is alive and dead at once, and only really ~exists~ when observed. Killing him only lasts until no one's watching. He can go anywhere, because he *_is_* already there, until he is observed. When cat boy added himself to Alucard's big sip, his existence as being real or not then had an audience of 3 million etc etc within Alucard, which were all the souls of the dead in London also part of the big sip. There was a 50/50 chance of catboy's power (now Alucard's power) to just stop existing, and lucky for the Major, it did. After 30 years, however, during which Alucard was able to chat with the audience and send them on their way, until it was just him and catboy left in the void, he blinked. And as there was no longer anyone observing them, they could be anywhere again. Such as, back home at Hellsing HQ. Now Alucard has a power that means he cannot be killed forever *on top* of his already 10-step procedure to die.

TLDR on vampire lore of Hellsing: if you're bitten by a vampire you either turn into a vampire if you're a virgin, or into a ghoul/zombie if you're not. The plot starts because people who weren't virgins at all were turned into vampires. Jan, especially. Also yes, the priest in episode 1 (not Anderson), was in fact a rapist in the original. And he had Ghoul Children... I'm not going to clarify what that means.

@@Valysion it is explained where the bulk of the vampire come from by the end of the series - Millennium had somehow gotten hold of the body of Dracula's wife who herself was a vampire and used it to sort of reverse engineer the much weaker watered down versions of we see in the show, you can see her skeleton in a glass case in Herr Doktors lab, these false vampires lack a lot of the powers true vampires have but some take to the process better then others like Rip Van Winkle and the Dandy Man developing a sliver of that power, the false ones also cannot sire new vampires as all they bite turn into ghouls regardless of if they are virgins or not.

Schrödinger's Cat is a theory that something can simultaneously be dead and alive. The character Schrodinger is obviously based off that and what the Major is saying is that so long as Schrodinger is seen he is alive, but the moment he is not he is not. So what happens when Alucard consumes such a being? "I called heads." This statement alone gives away that the Major did not actually know but he had a theory and took the chance it would work. The Major is effectively pointing out that there was a 50/50 chance that Schrodinger would blip out of existence, because in order to consume something you have to be aware of it. And if he was right, he theorized, this would cause a single moment where Alucard becomes aware of the void.
Do you know I have seen this series so many times and it only now occurs to me that that last scene is actually an inversion of their first meeting… Integra asks if he wants some sip, and Alucard says “hold your arm steady” I can’t believe it took me that long to notice that

49:36 Wait WTF, your mail carrier cares? I've watched my mail carrier on camera put a 'nobody answered the door, sign here' letter into my mailbox... without even turning onto my street to request a signature. My plants died over the weekend because of it, I had to send the footage to get compensation cause they said I didn't answer the door so it's my fault.
So Hellsing Ultimate, being an OVA, is one hour per episode. So there's 10 hours of story altogether which TFS condensed down into ten 20 minute episodes. As was pointed out, Ultimate follows the manga. The original 13 episode television series was made before the manga was finished and so it follows it up to a point and then veers off in its own direction kind of like Fullmetal Alchemist did. It is widely agreed upon that Ultimate is just overall better(just like FMA Brotherhood), but some people prefer the more jazzy soundtrack of the TV series compared to the more orchestral classical score that Ultimate has. Also, a fun fact, the author of Hellsing, Kouta Hirano, started off as a doujin writer/artist and most of the characters in Hellsing were in that original adult work effectively making it a prototype of Hellsing. There's also a prequel series called Hellsing: The Dawn set during WWII. It got three OVA episodes that were bundled with the blu-ray releases of the last three Ultimate OVA's.
Studio Madhouse did the animation, unfortunately they died thanks to Redline, a brilliant racing movie that's like Wacky Races on crack. In fact, you should check it out.
So the first Hellsing anime came out before the manga had ended and so has an anime only ending. Its generally considered the weakest part of the series but it does have a really awesome gothic horror aesthetic that you just dont find these days. Hellsing ultimate is a throw back to the ultra violent days of 90s ovas. It's awesome. But bare in mind it plays everything straight, so no sassy Alucard. And honestly the abridged version does the death of Anderson and Alucard coming back better. The major was a cyborg because he actually died at the end of WW2. In the Hellsing lore when a whole lot of people die at once and are really mad about dying their souls can fuse together by flowing through their blood to raise one almost dead person back up as a vampire. Dracula became a vampire after his army was massacred by the Turks and the souls of his soldiers fused with his own. The Major also could've become a vampire in this way by uniting the souls the dead Nazis in Berlin, but he turned the chance down because he wanted to remain human to prove that humans were stronger than a monster like Alucard. But his body was still wrecked so the doctor had turn him into a cyborg. The manga author behind Hellsing also wrote another series called Drifters which also has an anime. It's about famous historical figures getting Isekaied into a fantasy world and uniting together to fight an Evil Jesus Christ who's turned into Sauron.
If you're looking for more abriged goblin Slayer abridged and SAO abridged are fantastic. I've seen some channels have trouble with s.a.o on copyright though.

The thing about the zombies in the series is that normally a vampire (like Alucard) can turn others into a new vampire. Unfortunately for the villains, all of the evil vampires in the show are artificially created so when they drain someone they just get turned into a ghoul (aka a zombie)
the SAO abridged series you guys were talking about was actually created by one of the guest voice actors in the last episode and that series is so funny and so good
Sao is someone else but the voice actor of abridged kirito is one of the 3 Christian people walking down the hall in the 30 year timeskip at the end
He's the nervous inexperienced one
When they find out that cat “girl” is a cat “boy”
If you're anything like me, you're going to watch these again at some point, in which case I should point out that the copies TFS uploaded to their Twitch have their proper music included
7:30 I actually did watch The Boondock Saints, because of this.
Was Alucard right about his accusations then?
@@footlong7980 Yeah. Anderson pretty much admits it in the end.
LOL I have a shirt from SharkRobot that says, "Bitches love cannons!" and has a silhouette of Seras reclining ontop of the Harkonen in the style of the truck mud flaps..
I hope you all react to TFS’s HFIL series one day. It’s a spinoff of DBZ Abridged and is really hilarious ^^
Schroedinger is the cat AMBIGUOUS. They are canonically both genders and neither at the same time.
Except that he’s been referred to as male by multiple sources…
@@ALJ9000 All translations. The original does not specify
@@grantharriman284 Isn’t Schrödinger a male name?
@ALJ9000 it's a last name.
The Hellsing wiki cites the Official Hellsing Guide Book when they list him as male.
This reaction makes me super happy. My wife and I first bonded off of quotes from HUA (our wedding dance was to a "Party Party Party"/"Ready to Die" Mashup).
Considering we the English and the French had a hundred years war, and have been basically at each others throats for around a thousand years, yes there is some animosity. And its mainly the English, the Scots and the Welsh didn't mind the French so much. In the words of Yes Minister's Sir Humphrey "England has had the same foreign policy for the Last 500 years - to create a disunited Europe"
TFS could really never miss.. Also, the way they used Sheamus original theme song in the first episode was great.
Highly recommend rewatching it with Canadian English subtitles, they add so much more to the scenes
Do you know I have seen this series so many times and it only now occurs to me that that last scene is actually an inversion of their first meeting… Integra asks if he wants some sip, and Alucard says “hold your arm steady” I can’t believe it took me that long to notice that
Seriously, PLEASE watch their full version of the 'Alexander Anderson' song, I'd love to hear your thoughts
Yes watch actual Hellsing Ultimate! It’s awesome. Then you guys should check out SAOA abridged. I love SAO, but the abridged is better than the series.
1:22 Ruff's reaction 🤣
the next abridged you guys should watch is SAO abridged, it is so hilarious
This translation is wild. I've never heard a show so re-written before. Kind of digging, it though. It's pure madness.
First time viewer. I love that they watched this and hope to see them react to Hellsing Ultimate to compare. I can already tell im going to love watching you guys ❤
Actual Hellsing is definitely worth the watch, so fucking good
"I'm cool with war but wasting alcohol? nahj"
The studio that made hellsing is Madhouse, I believe they went bankrupt and are no longer animating. But literally all their anime are 10/10 animation wise
If you guys are curious about the release schedule it was an episode a year for halloween.
Charlie from Smiling Friends was Satan in Hellsing Abridged!? 🤣
15:00 I've had soda's do that before. Dunno why. I assume it's similar to the slime from Ghostbusters 2.
Schrodinger is supposed to be Androgynous Neither male nor Female, Alive nor dead, et cetera.
27:49 special guest CHRIS SABAT
That doesn't sound like Chris Sabat. That sounds like niche internet microcelebrity DJ Sexadillionaire.
Studio Madhouse made the original OVAs...
And the OG OVAs are amazing too...
9:38 happly is TOTALLY different.
A Jesus Christ you turned into sauron that actually sounds interesting
NOW REACT TO HELSING ULTIMATE ALREADY!!! It's only 10 Episodes.
If they like the art style for Hellsing Ultimate they should check out the anime Drifters it has the same style, and also plenty of badass fights
Final Fantasy 7 Machinabridged would be awesome
YES! Watch the show of Hellsing. It will be educational... for, more entertainment.
As a fan of your TH-cam channel, you guys really need to watch the Hellsing Ultimate. Because it's a masterpiece.
SAO was someone else, but TFS did lend their Voice work for a few characters here and there.
ill be honest when i saw Schrödinger and seras in the same frame i thought they were related like brother and sister
Jan was using dual P90 submachine guns.
watching abrdiged before original is so dumb..
If your going to watch hellsing, make sure it's the 10 episode HELLSING ULTIMATE and not the 12 or 13 episode tv series.
If you're looking for more abriged goblin Slayer abridged and SAO abridged are fantastic. I've seen some channels have trouble with s.a.o on copyright though.
the start of Hellsing ABRIDGED was an April Fools' Day prank they advertised they were going to do one piece
SAO Abridged is awesome as well. If you guys enjoyed this you will likely enjoy that as well.
Fate Stay Night Abridged by Project Mouthwash is pretty good. Also, Sgt. Frog Abridged by Midnight Frogs.
Don't forget TFS Hellsing Christmas special
That thing was hilarious, I listen to it a few months ago for the first time
My bro Alucard came to Brazil and basically commited genocide against us... AND I LOVED IT!!!
"JESUS WANTS A HUUUGG!!"
For those of you in the comment section who did not watch the full series and are wondering about the significance of Alucard, just spell his name backwards.
Hellsing Abridged was a yearly Halloween special that has since concluded. Also Seras's origin story is REALLY messed up and tragic.
Additionally, those hoods are common in some european christian events. Especially Spain. Completely unrelated to the Klan... Except "that" one...
Fun fact: TFS has multiple members who are LGBTQ such as KaiserNeko who voices Mr. Bernidot(the Frenchman) and Future Trunks for example.
You really should react to Hellsing Ultimate, it has awsome badass moments. And if you're curious, you can take a look at the og Hellsing. It's not bad, though it gets rather disappointing at the end
4:12 funny to think the 37 times is a lamas with hats reference with the 2 people being paul and carlllll
Just so you know, because your editor removed all instances of a certain F word, the final video has you say “Nazis by the way, in case you were wondering where we stood on that whole thing.” - the opposite of what you actually said.
41:17 I see one of my favorite browser plugins! 😂
Just realized Zach hadel (co creator of smiling friends) plays the devil lmao
I've wanted you guys to react to this for so long can't wait for the end
As a TFS fan I might like Hellsing abridged more then DBZA
Also the VA for Maxwell is the same as lord ainz al ghon
Kind of a shame. Having done a super cut, they could have done a react of the Anderson song for the very end.
This was actually very close to the original show. It's not 100% but it did follow VERY closely to the original.
I love Erik’s Ori and the Will of the Wisps hoodie!! Not enough Ori attention!
Yes the twitter account does exist
Alright off topic to the video but please eventually watch Boondock Saints
20:16 it should've been me lol
FWI the person that voiced police girl is Jessie Nowacking. Check him out
A godly transition
I believe we know her name. What, can't say her name? SAY HER NAME!! /j 💛💚
@@Ellhaimno check him out now honestly! He's hott
