YEEEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! I just purchased my Thinkware U3000 with rear Cam and iVolt external battery and I'm ready to enjoy all of its amazing features and state of the Arts Technology!!!!!
Right on Broseph, So far, so good. When it comes time for the full review, I'm hoping you can connect the new Thinkware BAB-95 dash cam battery back, and demonstrate the voice notifications for the various battery status. It would be nice to hear the battery life percentage when you start the engine along with the estimated charge time to reach 100%. And when you shut the engine off, it would be nice to hear the battery life percentage again, and the estimated run time in parking mode. How neat would that be. lol -Chuck
As always, loving the feedback Chuck! Hearing the camera state the battery percentage is very neat, but looking into it, it appears that it's a bit more complicated than appears, requiring another cable to be run along with the standard power cable, that will also need it's own additional ACC connection. From speaking directly with Thinkware, the functionality of the camera to provide these battery status updates is only possible with the Thinkware BAB-95, and we are not looking to carry this battery at the moment.
I want to see how this compares to A139 Pro in terms of video quality and reliability. As my A139 Pro hasn't always worked especially in the hotter days when it's only 85 degrees outside and sometimes will not turn on or start recording which makes me want to switch to thinkware next
@@figmo7494 no that's what I was trying to say. 85 degrees isn't hot so it's disappointing that the camera overheats or fails to function properly when it's only 85 degrees outside. Literally all my other viofo dashcams have worked in 100+ degree weather other then the A139 Pro. I'll be switching to thinkware U3000 for sure...not going to even bother getting a warranty replacement since the same things will happen
I'm switching to the u3000 because my viofo a139pro is having issues. I only need the front and interior cam. Viofo sent me another one and the same issue still happens. Customer service is....strange. Language barriers and they asked me put a deposit down for the replacement camera, also asked me to pay for return shipping and they will pay me back. Just weird all around interactions. Long story short, the interior camera port has been faulty on both that were sent. I'm a very tech savvy person and could get this thing to work properly. I even screen recorded what I was experiencing and Viofo seemed slightly suspicious, it was a bummer because I'm not trying to rip anyone off, I just want a WORKING 4k dash cam.connectivity
We have our sample footage for the A139 Pro up on our channel so feel free to check it out! Currently we are finding that the HDR of the A139 Pro is helping more with night-vision. Still, it's worth considering that the rear camera of the U3000 is 2k to 1080p of A139 Pro.
Normally the interior of the rear window should be ideal, if you are looking to mount externally, bolting is recommended. I'd need the vehicle model to be more precise.
If there's any one of our cameras that can, the best shot is the U3000! Especially with it's heat blocking film and temperature sensitive parking options. We'll go more in-depth in our review :)
I've seen other reviews of the U3000 and you're right the image quality from Viofo dashcams are much better. Even other Thinkware models also seem to fall behind in visual quality compared to other Viofo cams.

Thanks for the feedback! This unit is expected to be our most heat resistant yet!
85 degrees is hot? 😅 Try 100 degrees plus on the reg, which dashcam will hold up then?

@@A_guan , I guess I will have to get the u3000 as well, heat is a problem for me as well. Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it.

One thing i don't like how small the date, speed & dashcam label is
Thanks for the feedback!
@blackboxmyca Do you recommend using a CPL always?
Almost always! Unless you have tinted windows or are mainly focused on night recording.
How does the A139 Pro video quality compare to the Thinkware U3000?

how you attached the rear cam to a ute

i hope its heat resistant and can handle 12 hour direct sun light

Date and time stamp details are really too small. HDR isn't that great.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the HDR is largely affected by the Ambarella CPU in the camera
I want to see the side by side between this one and Viofo139 Pro. So far Viofo seems to have better image.
FYI the viofo mini 2 performs better than the 139 pro by all reports
@@chefgav1but viofo mini 2 is only 1 channel dashcam
@@faiz6422 mini 2 vs 139 pro in 1 channel by all reports is muni 2 wins hands down
Thanks for the feedback!
