After a lot of thought, I just bought an Aviator. A little more money than I wanted to spend but I am loving it and it is fun to drive. It will get up and scat, very comfortable seats, very quiet interior and that Revel stereo system is a banger system! Very satisfied right now.
To all companies ever, please integrate the tablet into the dash instead of sticking straight out of the top like a tombstone. Looks so cheap, like an afterthought. Glad to see V6 and no turbo 4 banger.
Hell no. For the past 15 years from Volvo to Ram to Mercedes to Ford to Tesla and others have ALL had tablet style center stack screens...time to move on from everyone having those just like how every company likes to put headlights low on the bumpers now.
This was so helpful!Another wonderful video from you guys! Especially since after viewing over 20 + videos of y'all, and settling on pretty much getting an Acura MDX advance or a-spec advance, just trying to compare what else I should look at. This is way over what I want to spend. I might as well get a BMW for that price if spending that much. 🤔😅 the vehicle ranking chart y'all have are just so invaluable, I cannot stress enough using those! Awesome!
I’ll take this over a MDX Type-S (which is in the same playing field) but the standard MDX is more reliable and cheaper, lease the Aviator and buy the MDX imo, both fabulous choices
Great review, The Aviator is sexy and looks great, I may wait to see if the really upgraded the interior like the Navigator and Nautilus. I also would also use reliable data to negotiate or just lease it ensuring they take care of the maintenance throughout the lease.
Definitely aviator MDX. Question now would be reliability. That's Lincoln though is so nice. If it's better quality than the vw Atlas then it's a better buy.
Luxury is used as a nonsense marketing word usually. The ultimate luxury is comfort and comfort is a product of engineering and build quality. You cannot expect good build quality unless the engineering is good. Good engineering is a function of quality of materials used and how they are used. In my experience, the fewer decision makers, constraints, goals, parts, seams, systems the better the result (think Steve Jobs). That is what I think of luxury.
@ thanks. Depends on what shape you like. I would drive the Lexus ES and LC (V8) to feel how a well built car should be. Those are my benchmarks. Happy shopping
@nateisright used to own 2 ES cars they were good I am 9n the market for SUV the GX is Ok feel like Lexus fell off with their quality it looks plain on the inside.
@@bronxkid2348 SUV. The GX intrigues me, but it’s too new for me to trust it. I would probably get a pre-2020 G Wagon if money was no object. Pickups have better residuals than SUVs, so I’m driving a ten year old Platinum F150. It’s comfortable and capable. If I were getting a new truck, it would probably be another F150. Hope this helps
That’s not a bad thing. The explorers already RWD to begin with. Reviewers have said the explorer has the performance and driving dynamics of a bmw x5 which is exceptionally high praise. This shows how high the cars aiming to compete. It drives like a more expensive vehicle. So the aviator being a fancy version of that is fine because you’re getting the driving dynamics and performance of an x5 with nicer materials
Fair take, I’d take an Aviator over a MDX if I was leasing but I’d def prefer to buy a MDX over an Aviator as the MDX will last and not cause problems, both are at the top of the segment imo
Not that I'm a fan of the full dash infotainment screen but this definitely should've gotten it if the Nautilus and Navigator got it. I love Lincoln's new design language, all of their cars/trucks are beautiful..
Agreed though we do have a MDX and I think the Aviator is the better car by a small margin if reliability isn’t a concern, I’d def feel a lot more comfortable owning a MDX tho
Toyota: recalled and completely replaced 100,000 engines in the tundra and lexus gx, Tacoma has axel issues, corolla gr has had engine fires, and Toyotas solutions were to drive slower but sure they're "reliable"
look at chinese vision avaitor. Lincoln NA they dont know how to build better interior , big vehicle and a tiny screen. th-cam.com/video/VdhJ9azJflk/w-d-xo.html

What else did you consider?
Just got our 2025 Aviator Reserve 201A with jet package and fully loaded. We love it. So comfortable and love the power.

@@O.G.LIL-MAN i like how the q7 and q8 have it built in
The new design is so impressive

Get the MDX if you like it, they last a long time
This is why we do what we do 😊 thank you for the kind words!
Looks awesome...reliability and resale value among others to consider why I refer my mbx type S
Never seen a brand new vehicle with such deep creases in the leather
@@OPC249
Its not brand new
Its a press vehicle that gets loaned out extensively to reviewers and people who want to test drive
I wouldnt call it "new"
No question. Lincoln has been absolutely slaying it with design and technology lately.
Looks nice but that seems expensive. Not sure Lincoln has the reliability to charge that much.
love lincoln all models😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
This is great guys! I always love your videos.
Great vid! I test drove this before buying the '25 MDX TS. No contest when I look at driving experience, reliability, price, resale, and styling.
Thanks!
I looked at those and decided to get the E450 MB all terrain and glad I did.
I’ll take this over a MDX Type-S (which is in the same playing field) but the standard MDX is more reliable and cheaper, lease the Aviator and buy the MDX imo, both fabulous choices
MDX just makes no sense if you want a budget luxury car get a fully loaded Palisade
@ the MDX is sportier than the Palisade, they cater to different client bases
@@Ethan-eo9vgby your logic, no luxury car purchase ever makes sense. Btw why would you buy a new palisade, that makes no sense! Buy a used palisade!
@ True 23 palisade is good too
Beautiful car ❤❤❤❤❤❤
when the ford chime plays it means the battery needs to be recharged. parking lights and other things will be disabled when it’s in battery saver mode

WOW looks so much better without the LINCOLN letters on the back! I may actually do this to mine now lol
Glad we could show you an example 😂
Excellent review and happy Saturday!😸
(Third row rating will vary with in law size)
16:10'
That was unexpected 😂😂😂😂
A direct Aviator vs MDX comparison video is due
The factory 🏭 rushed this example 😅 lol, the “Lincoln” script being missing, the start up chime glitch, hope the dealer pulled this off the lot!
Definitely aviator MDX. Question now would be reliability. That's Lincoln though is so nice. If it's better quality than the vw Atlas then it's a better buy.
This would have been a much better looking vehicle if they had gotten the roofline right. It slopes down too much and makes it look like a wagon.
Interior needs to be updated 💯
Lincoln is leagues ahead of lowly Acura
But not in resale value or reliability.
@rudfil
No true luxury car has great resale or reliability
In fact if your luxury car has great resale and reliability then it isnt truly a luxury car
Have they ever done a defender. Cannot find a video from them
Unfortunately not. Land Rover has still never provided us with a car to review :/ hopefully in the near future that will change!
Drew! “D” is for drive…”R” is for reverse! 😂😂😂😂. Where do you come up with this stuff?
Reminds me of the old Mercury SUVs in the rear. Lincoln design language ages like milk. 🥛
They should make a 5.0 engine option
I have 2020 aviator and almost same just the front side changed little
Do Navigator too

Hey Nate good analysis so in your opinion what is the best luxury brand? I am contemplating on what to get.

I’ll still wait for the inline 6 hurricane in the Grand Cherokee later this year.
it would look so much better with a black painted roof
Sucks that the thing is already glitching playing the Ford chime
Piano black industry wide needs to go! It's a scratch and smudge magnet!
Chery Aviator !
I want to know something, please tell me. I want to buy a car Volvo xc 90 Lincoln aviator Which one would be better? Please let me know Thanh’s
Personally, I'd go for the Volvo.

That to show you it's still a Ford, that's why the sound effects sneaking in 😮
Crazy with all those added on stuff and the price goes up to $83k 😂
Car forgot it was a Lincoln for a segment 😭. No Lincoln badge on the back either?? I think this unit maybe incomplete. They need to send it back.
typical ford production - forgetting their freaking branding on the back lol where's the QC these days
The previous years models were way sharper. This thing looks van-ish
So, it's just a Ford Explorer with some different clothes on, for what $10-$15k more?

amber turn signal? wow
Why don’t have tv screen for B seat😡
It is soft closing ?!!

Premium unleaded ?
Yes
At 80k Canadian you can find literally dozens of better cars
No there are also worse cars. The Germans similarly equipped will be significantly more expensive
@naveenthemachine and significantly way better and faster
Really wanted to like this to replace our RX-L, then I heard that stupid Ford Chime- can’t do it.
2025 Lincoln Aviator Reserve II Dynamic Handling Package 3.0L V6 10-Speed Automatic 4X4!
I’d take it over an MDX. It’s a toss up between this and the gv80

@@naveenthemachine It's only a tossup for you because Lincoln took away the TTV6 PHEV. For that reason alone, I'd take the GV80.
@ the gv80 and aviator both have great performance and driving dynamics and the interiors are just as nice between the two
I’d still take an MDX Type S for almost $10k less than this - and it’s a better looking car anyway.
Terrible resale value. Would avoid it because of that & get a Lexus TX or Acura MDX.
I don’t think that it’s a problem with those who can afford it!
No interior ambient lighting, really?
Lincoln and Infiniti will gone within 5 years. Bank on it.
I can see that since both of their lineups are so tiny compared with other luxury brands.
Good looks but with a useless third row and sub-31” loading height… won’t be good for hauling friends or pinball machines.
Better than the Ford Explorer that’s for sure 📠
Those hands look like AI....
Not that I'm a fan of the full dash infotainment screen but this definitely should've gotten it if the Nautilus and Navigator got it. I love Lincoln's new design language, all of their cars/trucks are beautiful..
You guys missed the real competitor the jeep grand cherokee L
7:04 😂😂😂 Lincoln do better
The Chinese have saved Lincoln. Frankly, this could have never come from Dearborn.
Yes it is better than the overpriced acuras that have less features, small screens
It's a gussied up Ford Explorer.
Reliability isn’t there. Toyota, Honda, Mazda only until others can prove to be reliable long term.
Agreed though we do have a MDX and I think the Aviator is the better car by a small margin if reliability isn’t a concern, I’d def feel a lot more comfortable owning a MDX tho

Just because you can only afford a Corolla doesn’t mean other brands are not reliable. Smh!
I have enough money to send you a tow truck. No worries little fella.
those brands don’t compete with lincoln

?? honda accord 2025 rear lights looking ahah
😂😂😂
Well at least it's better than that Lincoln navigator eww
still Lincoln junk, had one
Stupid ford car, will never buy again , very bad experience with the company
The back end still looks like a Dodge Durango knockoff

Looks like Ford is trying to recoup it's loss in EVs.
Horrible car. Took it for rent with just 6k miles on it. Multimedia glitched everyday. Assembled without any quality checks.
