My husband recently had a heart attack so we both moved to a low sodium low fat diet it's not that bad we actually enjoy it we do have a cheat day here and there but since we've been eating healthier we noticed that we don't really like the take out pizza we once loved it's too much it's amazing how your body doesn't find fast food appealing anymore which is never a bad thing❤

Thank you Dr. Frita!!!! I have been watching and following your videos AND listening to my doctor. My blood pressure has been high for perhaps the past year. After taking the sodium out of my diet, exercising more and drinking more water, my blood pressure reading was 119/68!!!! Thank you so much

I've just been diagnosed and I just feel defeated and broken. I try to eat healthy, I don't have time to exercise because I'm going over and taking care of my mom and my niece and my daughter at my mom's so the kids keep me on my feet with cooking cleaning running after the kids walking to the store and such...but it brings on a lot of stress. My mom recently had surgery and needs a lot of help with changing her bandage and such and it's not the wound that nessisaily bothers me but she's mom and watching her go through it all and me being the only one helping her is stressful. My niece is 3 going on 13, mouthy loud, tantrums, hits kicks bites pushes, at times uncomfortable. My daughter is my star, she doesn't stress me out to much unless her and my niece are playing or fighting with each other because then the intensity of my niece is amplified. And so after I have my niece fed bathed and in bed I have to clean my mom's apartment, then go home get my daughter bathed and ready for bed and then clean up my apartment and I'm not going to bed till 3 or 4 in the morning and back up again to do it all over again. I'm burnt out but have no choice to keep going because I have to be the one to keep it all together. Even finding a babysitter for my niece when I can't watch her and paying for the babysitter to babysit even though I myself don't get paid for watching her. I just feel tired all the time and it just never seems to end. Also I'll be taking care of my newborn nephew soon because my sister is due next month...so I just don't know what to do. I don't have time to cook real fresh from the farm chicken or other food I need foods that take like two minute prep work and 10 minute cook time and easy clean up but with being diagnosed I don't know how that's going to work without starving myself. Fresh veggies mean you have to cut and wash everything and then put it together and then cook it or steam it and if you're steaming it that can take hours for the veggies to fully cook through.

@@DrFrita Yes it did..went out and purchased some of the nuts and fruits you mentioned. How long does it usually take to see some form of a decrease in BP if you are consistent with low sodium eating, stress management and being active?

thanks doc frita this helps a lot. You are saving lots of lives like this and this is highly appreciated. I wanna also ask something, I would appreciate if you can answer, what you think about red meat ? how to consume it and how frequent should we eat ? I also have hyperaldestronism so I think I shouldn't take too much potasium as well since I do use Aldactone
