While I DO agree with what you say, in my own personal experience it goes like this:
      1. Start a project and focus on it
      2. Rule: Tell people to "piss off" who distract you FROM the project and Waste your time
      3. Trust NOBODY other than yourself (you are safer that way)
      4. Develop ways to do more things yourself WITHOUT asking for help from any losers that you can't depend on, and are totally unreliable and untrustworthy to start with
      5. QUIT EVERYTHING other than the project you are actually focused on or task at hand, and if people have a problem with that tell them again to "Piss off" and if that doesn't work tell them to politely "Go F**K themselves"!!
That is the only way things have worked in my book!! Oh sure people WILL call you a jerk or even worse, but they WILL NOT CALL YOU a procrastinator at all!!

3 years ago my uncle passed away and my family went to auction his stuff out. There was 30 years of unfinished projects everywhere, in cobwebs, rusted out etc. Thousands of dollars of tools, resources and equipment sitting around unused for lots of projects not started or unfinished. This taught me a lesson. That I don’t want to be like that. It made me sad that that was his legacy. Because of him I always make sure to finish what I start! I always finish projects and every time I buy resources I put them in use and immediately. As projects get finished over the years your surroundings look better and better and it’s easy to think of new projects and execute them. I did 3 projects yesterday and executed them just like I imagined. One project was putting up a cute childrens ceiling fan in my son’s room. I bought the fan off of marketplace for $10 in its box. The box looked beat up like the fan had been sitting in a garage for years…someone’s project they never started

-For 2 years I have been working on a long term small business & my skills in that area.
-I graduated college into covid, no jobs available, but I had a great idea & spent 4 months 24/7 developing an app. Stopped progressing on my long term idea.
-now I’m facing reality that I need a paying job, and should probably sorta stick to a career path to save enough money. So I stopped the 4 month project and started job hunting. But picked back up my long term business.
I can only balance two plans realistically. Even that is a stretch. I feel like this is part of life everyone’s gotta face. Let go of some things you wanna do cause you just can’t do everything.

My biggest weakness has always been finishing what I start.... this is true every time I want to learn a new piano piece. I'm really good at starting one but then after a while I lose interest and then start on another piece instead.... and then another piece. Maybe it's time to focus on just no more than three pieces at a time so that I can direct my energy more efficiently.

I find it easy to finish because the thing that keeps me motivated is the end result, not the idea or the work. But, I don't usually start something if I don't have the confidence that I can finish it. And, I don't start something that requires depending on other people unless it is necessary. Relying on others usually brings disappointment. I despise procrastination because it is the end result that motivates me. If the end result won't be something I am excited about, I won't start it. I don't mean the payoff, but the actual results of the work itself. The best part is standing back and seeing the finished work. I must say I have a very difficult time respecting people who don't finish what they start. That is one of my failures. I can't comprehend the purpose of being busy but never accomplishing anything. People who do that seem to have chaotic and messy lives.

80-20 rule sort of works out, but is a very generalized approach to task orientation. If all tasks could be accomplished within 20% of the work actually required, that 20% effort would be the new standard.

Who else has a high I.Q., many "holy shit" ideas, and absolutely self-destructs anything AS SOON AS you realize you CAN complete the task? Fear of this, fear of that, past traumas, medication.... after 41 years & a really interesting life, I still can BARELY start anything, and can't finish shit UNLESS someone else needs me to. Why is my own betterment not enough? Maybe I just need a good hard punch in the face. It's striking to me how little encouragement people need - but what do you do when no one gives a shit how many lives you saved or how ethical you behave when no one is looking? After all the self diagnosis (which revealed nothing but hollow conceptual possibilities), it'd be nice to have a pat on the back and hear a reason I should struggle forth - because the reasons I've come up with thus far don't pack much of a punch. It actually wouldn't be so bad if I went through life lazy and content, but lazy and ashamed of being lazy together, makes for long days & nights. When one who is great in a crisis, is safe & not under pressure, what then?... it's a slow walk until the next opportunity to kick ass in some situation. Without an outside force pulling the good out, it remains hidden and hard to find. I'm happy to live a long unsatisfied life, punctuated by bursts of heroic usefulness... but it'd be nice to be able to choose my own fights in the meantime. Or am I being greedy?... wanting my talents as well as the power to summon them at will - am I just ungratefully asking too much? Can anyone reading this relate at all?

so things such as meditation n exercise go out the window XD ... i'll sleep on it, 2morro is a new day :)
just trying to focus on implementing the basics -sleep and diet n not going back onto nicotine and doing a bit more housework and daily flexibility exercises
i guess thats enough to be going on with, likely im addicted to learning/new info XD
just theres so much more i want to do .. learn spanish, dance classes, acroyoga/calisthenics/parkour, horseriding, money management and investing, philosophy, history, nutrition, gut microbiome, pre history, a classical education, leatherworking or some other craft and i still have 2 sewing projects i promised the results to my nan n mum that i havent touched for a whole month lols!

My problem is I almost never have any ideas and never finish anything because I spend literal hours trying to come up with absolutely anything at all whether it's relevant or not.
In school I just couldn't complete an assignment for the ENTIRE YEAR because I couldn't come up with a single idea relevant to the topic at hand, And for the most-part my mind wasn't wandering that much... It's not like I was thinking of what I'm gonna do later because the majority of the time my memory isn't good enough to remember what I said or did even a few minutes ago. Sometimes (though rarely,) Seconds!
