If you got a big enough closet or pantry, get some acoustic sound pads and put them in the walls of the closet or pantry. Then you have a mini practice room

Saxmute one is good. I have the Japanese brand of that with a line out plug that can be connected to tuner. It’s few hundred dollars, better than to renovate the room to be soundproof

Maybe not's not portable. :) But doable for most people. Would be excellent for any type of hand-held instrument....brass or woodwind. ...perhaps not a woodwind bass...heh...not sure how much space there is in one of these "rooms).. I have a Whisper room and a Emeo I recommend the Emeo it's the best for noiseless practicing you are going to find.
And if you're a college student like me who can't afford any of these options, you practice in your car.

If you do that, get some hearing protection cause you can permanently fuck your ears up.
Look into an Emeo Sax. You will never regret it!

my old band director in High School would've loved to have these for our saxophone section back in the day.

Hey, this is a 4x6 WhisperRoom. I’d say that I have just enough space to be comfortable practicing and recording videos with this model.
