The scary part (I haven’t finished yet) is Trevor didn’t even do all his Illusion triggers, as the copy also had that ability, so he could have put up to 4 permanents with CMC 4 or less.
I was roommates with my best friend for 8 years (hitting length to qualifying for domestic partnership) and after 3 years the jokes started flowing lol
Growing up in the 90s with my mom and her girlfriend I 100% did basically say they were roommates. Kid me just felt other kids wouldn't understand that my mom was a lesbian so I'd always say that. So hearing you guys say that in the intro made me laugh and think of those times.

Was also just fun simple synergistic magic with no combos. In my experience Only downside to these types of games are life gain decks become unmanageable
38:00 The funny noises guy was able to put 2 permanents for *EACH* illusion killed in combat, since he controlled two Minn and each one of them triggers separately.
i still think he didnt had anything else. why would he put down a land else. in that situation. land is like the last thing you put down. or maybe in the first rounds to ramp

As far as my understanding goes it shouldn't even trigger a second time, because the commander says only when you draw your second card each turn. Those cards he drew in this situation were his 3rd and 4th this turn and thus it was a falsely resolved trigger or actually no trigger imo. Or am I missing something?
There goes Joey making us fall in love with him more and more. Don't think I didn't clock that Drag Race reference (50:41). The cast of this episode are all adorable.
I've seen many shuffle ups but this is the best one. Balanced decks fun interaction , conversations and negotiations. Great stuff. I think that more powerful decks go off too fast with no real build up and time to interact
I love this group so much! Joey is so fun to have on the channel, and Tomer and his sound effects are fantastically hilarious! Alec's deck seems really fun, too; surprised to see it at less than $50.
First time in my youtube experience that I took out the 2x to enjoy the real lenght of the video. Great episode and great chemistry! Only love for Tomer and his being so Tomer!
Oh my god I loved Joey's deck, I read that commander and never thought to mix it with enchantments that bring it back to the battlefield, and didn't realize if you have 2+ types on a card they count I am highly considering Commander for my next build, I just love it, and what a way to finish the game out too
Don't forget other fun little quirks like having an Ashaya out. Ashaya + something like Solemn Simulacrum = only needing to sacrifice one permanent (a Land Artifact Creature) to satisfy Baba Lysaga's condition. Super sweet design.
Yay, I love playing Baba Lysaga, made my own deck because of Joey's recommendation. Also always enjoy seeing Joey play. Nobody seems to enjoy magic more than Joey.

I'm someone who will never get back into playing MTG, but I do enjoy watching it. Thank you for explaining what is happening each step of the way. It is really helpful to someone who has only a basic understanding of the game.
Finally getting to see Joey play Baby Lasagna this video right before dinner made me HAVE to pull out the frozen lasagna from my freezer at the start of this video. It should be done JUST as the video is ending.
Absolutely loved Joey's play of chumping with the myr, sacrificing it to Baba, then killing the Duskshell Crawler to remove trample before damage was dealt. Very cool!
Of all the EDH gameplay videos, I think this was the best one yet! Absolutely love all of the guests and crazy plays. Joey I am so happy that you weren't killed first this time!

This has been my favorite episode so far for many reasons but the editor gets a tip o' the cap for the Tomer sound effects alone. I laughed and it felt like I was playing a game with my friends at home like every game of Magic should.

Trying to singles-shop to create your Intro Deck to Commander can get you wrecked $$-wise, but you’ve both been so much help. Great seeing this game. :)

as a minn player myself i guess he didn't had other cards to put down for 4 or less.
