Hello. I have a problem, I follow the instructions and the installation goes well until phase 2 starts. then the computer starts displaying random BSODs about kernel problems or driver problems.
I want something to be mentioned (unless an upgrade path leaves this open in some way) : Starting from 24H2, Windows 11 will also require a CPU which is capable of processing AVX2 instructions via its internal hardware. Only as a hint that there may be a limitation for older machines in the future of windows 11. Either one is kept "imprisoned" to Build 23H2 and you cannot upgrade or only via an exception (in upgrade scenarios) if. and applications actually requiring these instructions for rendering purposes (that is what it is meant for) will not run resp. show up as "incompatible" while attempting to install them on an older machine w/o such capability. One example for this is e.g. "Adobe Audition" and some others out of the Adobe CC package starting from Version 24.
Just curious to what happens if you try installing the windows 11 without doing the command prompt? Would it just not work or? I'm about to do this & I'm not sure if I need these steps or not, so I'm curious. Thank you! :)
i've tried it without the cmd prompt but i used disk manager to format in MBR but i'm stuck in boot loop after windows install and eventually just get a flashing cursor trying on an old i5 750
Hello, is there a way to set up a dual boot on legacy BIOS with these steps to switch between windows 10 and windows 11, using 2 separate physical drives 1- Win10 & the other Win11?
my pc supports UEFI bios, but I installed windows 10 under legacy mode. When I change to UEFI and exit the bios tool, the computer doesn't initiate windows, it just goes to the edit Bios tool again. I need to upgrade to windows 11 but my current windows 10 is running under legacy mode.
You need to reinstall the Windows OS. First backup any important data to external drive, then download windows 10 ISO from Microsoft and use RUFUS to create a bootable USB (make sure to use GPT partition scheme ). Then reboot the computer into BIOS and change the boot mode to UEFI. Then boot into Windows 10 through the USB drive. Follow the video, and clean the drive. Then apply GPT partition scheme to the drive (convert gpt)

NO need to worry. You can use UEFI to boot window 11 .. Just use Rufus with flags I mentioned in the video to install windows 11 on any unsupported computer.
IT will be very slow if running on hardDrive. SSD is preferable. If your old computer is having more than 8GB or Ram and QUAD Core processor then it's worth of upgrading.
There is preconfigured REG file that disables the TPM, secure boot .. You need to google that. And paste that reg file into the Ventoy drive. Then you need to load that file from the windows setup screen before installing windows 11.
I would love to do that.... But the amount of bloatwares coming with windows 11 stops me from doing that... I switched to Mac(main machine) and linux(for testing purposes)
No debloater needed. On setup, select English International (or English World) as your language instead of US or your language, that version is almost free of any additional program and bloatware free. After that you can install a language package to use a different language if you like, or you can keep it like this if you're an english speaker or enjoyer.

On windows click on the Console Icon, from the top left, choose settings and customise the Command prompt or Powershell.

Yes you can do that. When you see the partitions GUI Page, you can select and delete or format it to install windows 11.

You are creating a bootable USB , so everything on the USB Drive will be erased. So please back up any important files on USB Drive

To be honest windows 10 is better on unsupported cpu's i tried 11 but it didn't work that great.
