Impossible 😂 taho revenue has a ceiling… unless he took over the chinese man distributing ingredients to other vendors
Wouldn't presume, this was over a span of 7-10 years. The Japanese in our village would buy the soft tofu by itself by the bucket.

watching videos like this make me realize I NEED to travel the world. The food alone is a mega reason. But the culture & beauty as well. I need to see more of the world than just america.
America’s enough culture to explore. You’re telling me you have 50 states but would rather visit an isolated village in Africa to taste rat piss?
Trust me bro, people here are swearing a lot and it's amazing 😊
I promise that’s like 50cents American . You can survive off $20 there and get a full meal 3x breakfast lunch and dinner. Only thing costly is the flight. But you can layover in Hong Kong or in Tokyo so it’s kind of a win win 😎
America has no culture unless you're a certain ethnicity. Being Indigenous to the USA and Northern Mexico we have our cultures and foods that we grew up having as kids. Mine was southern style foods of Texas /Mexico/ Spain . The best of all worlds, in my eyes. We didn't make Fry bread ,but has homemade corn and flour tortillas. 😍
Cheese seems to be an American thing, we put it on everything, hThing,
Tapioca pudding is a thing for Asian for desert and now we have Boba shops everywhere in Asian marketplaces. I love the way America has so many ethnicities and so many restaurants now! Start going to Asian markets and look through the isles they have everything from around the world. India, Mexico, Puerto Rican, Chinese, Japanese. Cuban and more ! Cultural food marketplaces are my fave and we can find Vietnamese restaurants as well. American versions of these foods are horrible, lol. I'd rather experience the real, authentic foods made by someone who knows the REAL deal. We have too many TexMex foods instead of ORIGINAL foods of my ancestors. Chimichangas are NOT from MEXICO ,haha! ELOTE (corn on the cob) is different here in America. Of u don't get it from an original Mexican vendor ,it's not the same! 😩
Go to Mexican food markets and taste the chicken that looks yellow and BBQ it outside on a grill. Amazing flavor ! Best wishes for u to travel the world

I think the syrup is made from palm sugar or coconut sugar. If you want to make it at home, use molasses or brown sugar instead of maple syrup-which would be too light on the earthiness and you can try buying boba in a can or packet or even frozen to add in. Around 9 years ago, I use to go to this pizza place all the time with my family. Then we moved and they didn't have it anymore. Today we we're traveling and saw it, and deciding to eat their pizza again. And it brought back so much memories.
Looks so yummy🧋like bubble tea 🧋 😊☕️🤤
Philippines, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia have this dessert, each to their own taste. Haven't seen one in Thailand but its probably available there and in other neighboring countries.
you're right, in Indonesia we called it kembang tahu
Oh yeah, we have taho in thailand 👍👍
And in Cambodia we called it Taohu terk Skor, Taohu= Tofu and Terk Skor = sugary water . It just in our country we don't add tapioca pearls in this dessert.
It's in India too
It's in India too
He puts more yummy bits in the taho than any other taho vendor I've ever encountered and I love him for that
His parents being supportive to him makes me so full 🤍
Isn’t it her?
Making you full is fun 😏

This is a girl. Wtf you talking about 😂😂
Looks yummy! 👏
This is also a part of my childhood but I’m Chinese. I remember every day after school gets out I’d urge my grandpa or grandma to go buy me a small bowl from the vendor outside the school gates. The version I had was a little simpler, without the little starch balls. It’s just the soft, warm steamed tofu and rock sugar syrup. We call it 豆腐花 or directly translates to tofu flower. And I usually have it with some horse ear sweet dough. I’d get so excited to see the vendor’s cart pull up and there’s usually always a line. If I get lucky I’d come out early and get the first batch from the top of the bucket. Sometimes I’m unlucky and they’re out. I would then slurp that up while riding sitting on the back of my grandpa’s bike on the way home. That is like one of the best memories. I also tried to recreate it at home now, years later w silken tofu heated up with hot sugar water but it’s just not the same lol. Very popular traditional snack for the summer
in singapore too, it's a very chinese thing haha.
bro wrote an essay
How can we recreate this in America? Like homemade?
@@yourkdramasonyeo trying to hit that 500 word count for my A+ 💯💯💯
@@gretap3917 easiest: boil silken tofu from Mart for 1 min add a shite ton of sugar to that water
I remember always rushing to get cups and some coins whenever I hear “taho” and they were always so generous with the amount they give. They always would fill up the cup till the rim.
i see from the replies this dessert have so many versions across southeast asia ❤️
That looks sooo good
HELLO . !! I have an important question to Filipinos . Im american and im wondering do you guys really belive in aswang . Teach me about them
@@user-ju9fv2om6oThey're just folklore just usually made to scare off people.
There's like many types of aswangs such as the infamous Manananggal which is known to half their upper half split and have bat-like wings and they'll eat fetuses of pregnant women. The only way to kill them is to put salt or anything holy to their lower half.
@@user-ju9fv2om6oaswang?? Hahaha 😅
In Indonesia, especially in Java island, we also have this dish and it's called "wedang tahu" (Javanese language) or tofu drink. It consists of the tofu, ginger water mixed with brown sugar. 😁
It’s called tahok too in some region in Java 😁
Kembang tahu to be exact.
mirip cingcau sama buvur sumsum 😂
@@kanalkosong well that's the official Indonesian name
Kembang tahu
That looks so good! Almost like a caramel flan in a cup, but more healthful because of the extra protein in the tofu.
Edit: to all the folks stating there's protein in dairy/milk - yes of course. However, there is roughly 3 times as much protein in tofu compared to milk, and virtually ZERO (saturated) fat.
No kid
I was thinking the same thing.
Flan contains eggs which are protein. But contains alot of sugar. Really tasty with little bit of rum.
Flan is protien
@@amandajean7738I bet it’s pure cane sugar though.
Looks so delicious yummy ❤
All your deserts from the Philippines are incredible
omg in taiwan 豆花 played such a significant role in traditional desserts cuz it's so flexible, and you get to choose if you want it cold or hot, even the side garments are free to choose. love.
I love the three color variety. So yummy!
I loved 豆花 also
tāu-hoe is my ultimate comfort food 😍😍
Wow! I'm from Srilanka and we have a very similar desert made in our country, it's called "Kiri pani", meaning curd and treacle, it's made by pouring sugar palm treacle (Caryota urens) on the curd, it tastes fantastic, you should try it whenever you visit Srilanka, I'm sure you'll love it.
How does it look exactly like kiri pani, when it's not even curd lol?! 😮
Kiri pani is addictive 😋
Looks amazing
Seems a little strange that in the Philippines you're eating hot tofu, while in the UK it's below 0 and the ice cream vans coming around.
In Vietnam, we have tons of hot and spicy noodles and soup dishes, even if it’s 40 C outside lol
I think it's normal. I live in malaysia and even though it's hot outside, I eat everything hot or spicy.
in philippines we even drink hot coffee everyday in a hot and sunny afternoon too hahaha
There is also cold tạho when you go to the mall or restaurant
people usually eat it in the morning because the taho vendor are only selling it around breakfast time so the weather isn't that hot. the vendors at night are selling different stuff though, like balut
