Some tips from a casual cosplayer with some years of experience: -when styling a wig you can use pins to secure it to the styrofoam head so it won't slip around as much! -stiff hairspray is great for keeping cartoon hairdoos in place -when the wig is on your head bobby pins are great to secure it to your head by fastening it to your hair (provided the type of wig cap allows it) -when applying facepaint it should preferably be in thin layers to avoid the issues of cracking and allow you to emote. don't worry about it not being completely opaque, especially with white -applying with a sponge for big areas is quicker and ensures more even coverage you did a pretty good job here for your first time styling and painting! The bun of the hair looks great and the details on your face paint works really well. There is a difference in costumes and cosplay of outfits made for photography and made for interacting with people, and this is a nice work for an on camera one! the colours look great together! if you wanna try something like this again it would be awesome to see what you do, especially with your attention to detail!

Wig styling tips from a cosplayer: Place a sewing pin into the top of the wig to hold it onto the wig head. Put the wig head on a tripod to keep it steady and sturdy. A wide tooth comb would have been best to brush out that curly wig to avoid it frizzing out You really got the wrong type of wig for an updo so seeing wefts is to be expected.
I can tell you, its pretty dang satisfying. The wig is always the best part- your sweaty, compressed scalp is suddenly freed, and you get the rush of wind in your hair. Taking off the makeup? Thats the nasty part. Gotta scrub at your skin, and it gosh darn hurts
