This is so informative and helpful! I am watching this Feb 2021 as a facilitator at a nature play-based homeschool program. Hilarious how she describes our skills in the emotional state as dependent on the “CD-ROM passed down generation to generation”. It really dates the recording and the speaker.

Love the phrase "they have the inability"! (which we have given them) Well worth following this to the end, great presentation.

Wow, phenomenal presentation. The concepts rounded up and explained here have universal application and are rapidly going extinct. It is ironic that the more we learn about neuroscience, the further we as a culture drift away from healthy mental habits. I have spent a great deal of my life studying the effects of the lack of self-regulation and how to teach others to develop self-control. Much of my work has been in schools and in the Oregon prison system. It is a fascinating field of learning!

This is amazing to know!! Thank you! How do we keep ourselves out of the lower 2 and into executive function if we have CPTSD?!?! I’m a single mom of 3 and I struggle DAILY because of my childhood trauma.

hello, such advanced higher consciousness stuff, thank you, fabulous, so clear, so easy to understand, MY QUESTION, HOW DO WE BRIDGE THE GAP FROM THE OLD FEAR BASED PARENTING TO CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE....please make a video on this, how to get started and bridge the gap, when kids are used to rewards/punishment/angry faces to help out around the house etc....

Unfortunately, we don't have them for sale (we'll pass it along, though). We do have these brain state posters: consciousdiscipline.com/product/brain-state-poster-set/

Love the presentation. Only thing is I dislike it when she always dismisses herself by saying I wish you well. Makes her sound super fake.
