    Love the honesty on the sub: "I'll get to it another day... which means probably never." Isn't that always the way? You "just set it up like this for the time being" and then when you decide to reorganize the shop in 10 years you remember you never actually got around to it. The amount of 95% completed projects in shops absolutely outweigh the number of actually completed projects.

    19:57 Hearing some RF interference, you guys should check out the Freqfinder app, the paid version will show you what frequencies are clean in your given area.

      @Oneloudest 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      It doesn't scan though. For that, an RF explorer is the way to go. Super portable, and you can connect it to a laptop to export the scan to a CSV file. You can then import that into Shure's Wireless Workbench software, which is free, and will do your frequency coordination for you. Works amazingly well using real time data from your location, not just a database of TV towers.

    I'd strongly recommend, if both of those subs are being used at the same time, to place them directly next to each other. The distance between those means that you may get increased "lobing" throughout the shop at different frequencies, meaning there will be areas with great cancellation and areas with great summation. Of course, the room causes this to happen to some extent anyway with sound waves bouncing off the walls causing standing waves etc., but coupling them together will get you much better phase coherency and more even bass output across the shop.

    Coming from a machining and fabrication background, the best value for a good welder is to find a used one at an auction. Really good quality used machines are almost always better than new. Drove me nuts when I added a GPU to my Proxmox server and could no longer get a network connection, but it's easy enough to fix once you realize it's just the interface name that's the problem.
