Stem Cells vs Progenitor cells (What's the Difference)?

Progenitor cells are not stem cells, so it is important to understand the difference between them. While stem cells can self-renew indefinitely, progenitor cells can only self-renew a limited number of times. Generally, progenitor cells are more specialized than stem cells.
