The presentation was off the chart, the most compelling case for the micro. Alex you are such a good creator and I'm so glad we came into contact over our love of this camera and others. Thank you so much for the shout out 🙏🏾
@@AltCine my pleasure, thanks Cole! I'm a huge fan of the work you and Simon have done on these niche cameras, giving them a whole new life! Thanks for all your support and generosity!!
Its really enjoyable to see you guys create and share love, most people Ive been dealing with this last 2 month just critics everybody and do nothing ! Love you guys keep with what you want to do !!
Man that really put a smile on my face! I didn’t even realise how far these projects have come! Amazing video and your first tought on these cameras are exaclty what is driving us to not let them die🙏
I used the OG micro for about 2 years 2020 - 2022, with the One little Goat remote it was a dream to use, shot a bunch of music videos on it it was an awesome lil' cam
I also own two BMMCCs and I love them, although I found myself to use them less often than I want unfortunately. Meanwhile these accessories were not available, I built my own rigs for them to get them fully usable (one with S-Bus breakout box and one with a simple 4channel PWM switches). Good to see that more people finds the Micros and ways to shoot with them again.
@@VietinghoffAlex I have to admit, that I only rigged up from diffrent 3rd party pieces. The parts weren't made by me :) I just spent many hours to find and collect the small pieces which work togeteher and fit to my style
I have the BMMCC OG with a Wooden Cage (very minimal but everything you need) and I have been with Cole and AltCine from the beginning. I have one of the first batch of expansion backs and OLPF filters. That and the breakout box that he does not source but mentions, and of course the button mod and a DIY button for record button I made. I used my Blackmagic Video Assist for a monitor and the small rig VB55 to power everything. Oh yes, I have a complete set of Angenieux Lenses with a C to MFT adapter. I also have a set of Meike Cine lenses also. Cole is definitely giving new life to this camera. So under appreciated yet yield amazingly good video. I also have the G2 rigged the same way. Thanks for spreading the word and the journey continues.
@@chrisbogart687 amazing setup, glad you liked my video! Very jealous of your Angenieux lens set, I only have the two zooms pictured in my video. I agree that these cameras are under appreciated, I wanted to share their magic with everyone! The work Cole and Simon are doing is amazing, so glad the filmmaker community has them!!
I use to own the BMMCC and used it with a Zeiss 10-100 t3.1 and the EF BMPCC speed booster. It was a great little camera, especially after I built a custom grip and breakout box that controlled rec, iso, aperture and WB. I also had a small custom electronic follow focus that plugged into the breakout box that worked with mft and EF lenses. Sadly I sold it during the pandemic. Still have the grip though waiting for the prices to drop on the used market, but they never do.

@@rayanekabousptx thank you! I have a Sigma FP as well, I think it's the perfect travel camera for using with vintage lenses. I just need to figure out a good gyrologging solution!
That's really cool! But wait, doesn't the bmcc 2.5 camera have the same sensor? Won't this camera give you more freedom in davini? It can also be used to make a bolex installation on one handle.
It does have a Fairchild sensor too, not sure if it's the exact same, but it definitely matches the BMMCC and BMPCC OG. If I ever find a good deal on one I need to get it. I specifically want the MFT mount one because it's also compatible with the 0.58 speedbooster!
The battery is internal and most likely died. and I guess there is no 60 FPS. You can only record on SATA SSD up to (I am not sure) 256 GB, and it suffers from Black hole sun effect. But on the other hand it has touchscreen

@@DarkTrapStudio true, there can always be variations between copies of the same lens, so I'll just have to swap back and forth with one lens to avoid that.
why use a nice 16mm sensor with stupid clean looking canon FF glass, like every digital camera picture looks like 20 years ago? like, no, just dont do it. there is so much nice 16mm film vintage glass out there, with arri bayonette / PL Mount / c-Mount etc..... when the OG pocket was new, i bought it and shot a lot of footage with the old Arri Super Speed 16mm lenses i got from film school. it was an awsome look. when using canon foto lenses, its still ok, but there is no point in using a 16mm camera.
