I mean, the outgoing Macan used really bad materials by default but gave you the option to cover practically any surface in leather. Unfortunately, it doubled the price of the car. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the same way. The Macan is not a Panamera anyway. It's supposed to compete with the x3 and GLC which don't have great materials either. It blows my mind why any manufacturer - especially MB, Porsche, and BMW - use shiny black plastic. Does anyone like it? It's my least favorite trend in the auto industry and I'm pretty not a single person has ever given positive feedback on it. Even if they needed to cut costs and use a cheap material, there are more durable, less hideous choices.
I can tolerate the led strips squeaking, don't touch that anyway. The piano black center console is meant to click like that as it's a big touch sensitive panel with vibration feedback actuators, but isn't meant to be pushed when the car is off because the feedback actuators aren't working then. Materials are just not as nice as they should be in this car though, I'd spec leather wrapped dash and wood or carbon inside instead of all black plastic everywhere. But you don't buy a Porsche for the interior anyway, you buy it because it drives better than any Japanese, Korean or American car in the same segment that will come out by about the year 2050.
"German junk quality!" - What is the rest of the world then? You know why Germans are dropping quality? Lack of competition. Germany still makes the best cars in the world, and the best car in literally every segment out there comes out of Germany. In fact, most of the time like top 3 best cars in any segment come from Germany. Anyone who even as much as suggests otherwise is delusional/doesn't know anything about cars/never drove a German car.
My wife called Macan 4 "a worth than VW SUV" (becouse how cheep the materials were). On my Turbo on the other hand everything Porsche supposed to be. So, I guess you get what you paid for. But then again it shouldn't be ok for Porsche
82k and no lumbar support even on the drivers seat and a manual tilt and teloscoping steering wheel? What kind of world do we live in where these Euro brands charge for no options, and even charge for ridiculous things like rear side bolster airbags and laminated side glass? This car should be 50k. I'd take a Genesis GV70 anyday over this just for the better interior. The gv70 3.5t awd is a fun enough sporty car for me.
This looks like such a letdown. I'm a big Macan fan myself and was very lucky to be able to get a brand new fully specced Macan S late last year before the swap to electric, and I love it. This video indicates a significant drop in the quality of materials and fit & finish on the new Macan, and I personally find the new interior completely underwhelming visually (I mean, what's with the cheap looking window switch gear?). The exterior of these things is possibly the worst part. It's completely lost its hip shapes, aggressive nose, and kind of looks squished. I think the design might work on a larger car, but on something the size of a Macan, this design is terrible. It's just unimaginable that this can be the successor of the previous generation. Porsche need the Macan as a gateway into the brand, and I just don't see this attracting many people at all.
Despite the reputation for quality, I find the interiors of most German cars creak and squeak like this. Weirdly I’ve found that recent land rovers have really solid interiors in contrast (despite their poor reputation for quality)
this disgusting, fugly cheap grey plastic cladding on the outside is the biggest f ing crime and german automakers continue to do this unless you pay up. unfortunately i have it on my Q8 despite the rest of the car being fully loaded so on the outside it looks like poverty spec. i wonder if people simply forget to delete this "option"..
I like this channel as it helps me a lot in gauging a car's interior quality without going to a dealership and getting bombarded by endless sales pitch. Plus it's pretty relaxing for me. Why the hate?

a lot of plastic for a lot of money...
The Germans have really lost the plot lately.
I'd give it a 5.5 for materials, nicer buttons than the average car
Great content man, really appreciate you bringing this many cars to your channel
Real deal breaker
When you do a test drive can you tell us if the plastic creaks?
If it’s anything like our 3 VW products I have to wonder if it’s going to leak when it rains and floods out the floor and the electronics.
Interiour looks horrible and the door handles are some of the worst i have seen in a while
Interior looks like any other Porsche interior lol
Have you considered or have you done a quality check for a 911 ? Would be great sir ! Hello from Greece

German junk quality! They are obsessed with this acrylic cheap glossy black plastic.

When the competition is the Tesla Model Y, even THIS is a come up. For the rest of us -not so much.

people in comments who've never even used a porsche configurator complaining about materials lol

@@prestocartalkandreviews.9705 GV70 does not a compare to an electric Macan tho.
This thing looks cheap asf, garbage plastics everywhere
Then Taos EV comes in 40k less

go find a real work... "tester"
I do. This is just for fun.

@mlsmls52 thanks for the ad revenue bro
This car is not a Porsche, it is a VW product. Terrible. Cars like this ruin the Porsche badge.
