There’s a simple solution for the rear seat. If you’re 6’4”, don’t sit behind a driver who is 6’4”. And if you’re a family of giants you probably shouldn’t be shopping for a compact SUV.
I went a little crazy! Papaya with 22” spider wheels! It looks great! Disagree with you on the rear wheel steering. It is great! Especially at speed. I also got the Burmeister sound and it is FANTASTIC! Must have if you like loud music!
im pretty sure there is battery preconditioning. but the car looks incredible. i think they did an awesome job on it. I wish some of the configuration options were a lil different. but otherwise, i'm gonna give it an 8. i think it's missing some of those luxury items, like soft close doors...but really, ppl buy a porsche for the performance. and you can't deny this model has it.

The Audi q6 and this have the same PPE platform. Battery, wheels motor placement etc. Neither are as big as you'd want inside. The q8, apart from being ancient in design is just too big for everyday life.
I wonder why so many car reviewers are wearing ( thick ) coats when aircon temp in the car is set to 21 C ? guess you do not keep your coat on while sitting in the living room at 21 C ? 🤔 very good review by the way !
Because most often the time in the car is short because of many different activities. If I don't sit in the car for more than 1 hour I don't bother taking the cost off. 😃 I also need to consider the microphone.
I read in a car forum somewhere that the seat belts have some kind of a built-in clip that prevents it from bumping against the frame when there's no passenger.
Every time a tall car reviewer sits in the back, I'm worried about the rear seat space in this car. Then, for better or worse, I remember I'm only 5'8" lol
Disappointing rear seat room, as I am 193cm as well, and my family members are taller. The audi equivalent q6 seems to have larger rear head and seating room, but the front styling, i just can't get over. The macan looks amazing in comparison. I guess I will have to wait for a cayenne full ev q8 equivalent.
Some remarks : 1. The arm rest, is it not to short to properly support your right arm while you are driving? 2. The gear stick at the dashboard, is it funcional? I mean, in real world people have to park on tight places, requiring a lot of gear interaction… 3. The rear windshield swiper beeing a PAYABLE extra!? I know, it looks nicer without, but then put it as a free optional! 4. No retractable door handles!? On a sporty, luxury car!? Every current EV has it, so why Porsche’s decision not to go that road?

the macan ev design is very obviously way better than macan ice, but with the issues of battery fire risk, range anxiety, poor resale value, fake sound, etc. please make an ice version of this new design & i ll buy it without hesitation, and try to remove the centre console's silly grab bars.
Porsche wants you to think they’re worth what they’re asking for their EV s. That game is quickly coming to a close, especially with The Taycan depreciations.
Most disappointing feature: you can only use 2x 400volt chargers. If you could use 2x7kw chargers that would be amazing. There are lot more 7kw charging points, e.g. work, that would fill it in a day. But alas. It only supports one from my research.
The model Y is ugly but it makes up for it with roomy space inside. I know because i own one. But I wouldn't say EV macan is that much better looking than the Y. Honestly I much prefer the ICE Macan instead. Either the S or GTS. Yes, it's very cramped compared to the Y but the driving experience, feel of materials, and not having to worry about charging makes up for it. However the base Macan 4 cylinder doesn't make sense for its price point. You better off getting a well equipped Audi Q3 if you are okay with a 4 cylinder. I am stuck with my Y and wont be paid off until 2027. At that point when I want to trade it in I am not sure if Porsche will still be making the ICE Macan.
I have owned 4 new Porsches over the years.... now, with cars being electrified, they struggle to distinguish, they struggle to justify the price. If you don't need the brand badge, I think there are lot almost as good alternatives, but for a much smaller investment in price🤷🏻♂️. Back in the petrol days, they had no issues in distinguishing, in justifying the price because the drive was so far ahead of competition. Times have changed...
what's distinguished is the build quality, handling and power...you're not getting that from any other brand. And everyone who's driven one will validate that. And I'm pretty sure the Turbo Ev getting 200 more HP than the highest ICE version...can validate the price some

So the quality didn't convince me! Regarding the power in "half way" road legal use isn't ahead of let's say Tesla P Models, Lotus Emeya or even IONIQ 5N. Of course, due to Taycan's massive depreciation one can buy a Porsche EV now very cheap but a cheap price isn't everything to me... but hey, each one their own and if you are happy with your decision, good for you...

It has precond but you need to navigate to a charger to activate it. No manual activation on the one I tried.
I want a Porsche EV. Especially a Taycan.... bank account is not aligned with the idea tho 😅

The interior space is perhaps smaller in order to optimize the CX (aerodynamic) of the car (CX, at 0.25, very good), what reduces consumption.
Yes, but other cars achieve the same or lower with a bigger interior. I guess it's more about aesthetics and it has a coupe shape.
