Also new to golf. Hitting bad shots and ball contact is my problem. I heard a pro say to focus on your good shots and feel good about them rather than focusing on the bad ones.
The PGA needs to compile all of the terrible shots after each tournament and post them for the benefit of all amateurs. This will help amateurs to keep expectations at a realistic level.
It’s hilarious how good PGA players are. I’m watching all of these shots and thinking “yeah I’d be pretty happy with that shot” on about 70% of these 🤣🤣
For what? They’d still beat the best of us by 20 strokes on the typical courses we play. Seeing em make terrible shots doesn’t make me feel better in the slightest.
The great thing about this is I'd say only 10% of golfers from the tournaments are actually taped and shown. Would love to see the other 90% of golfers shots for a confidence booster!
It gives us amatures some hope to see a pro mess up trouble shots once in a while. They do miss but of course their misses are not that often percentage-wise.
Imagine how tough it is for these Pros that play/practice everyday that we as weekend golfers should not complain if we miss any shots. Golf is not an easy game if trying to shoot a good score and bad shots will happen. Thanks for the video.
From 125 yards, pros miss the green 25% of the time. Amateurs beat themselves up if they miss the green from that distance. It's crazy, but that's what TV coverage encourages by only showing the miracle shots and the monster puts.
Thank you for this video. I'm not inspired to play again this year. It's nice to know that even the pros hit these shots. Granted, they only do it a couple times a month where I hit shots like this on the regular, but still.
My worst hole was posting a 19 on a par 5 one year. I hit something like 6 or 7 straight shanks into the water. The next season, I played that hole again, and scored a 6--perhaps the course record for most-improved hole :)
These video's don't necessarily make me happy but they for sure make me feel better about hitting bad shots on the course and that it's just going to happen lol
You young people don't know how far coverage of the PGA Tour has come. 50 or so years ago, the only coverage you got was on 16, 17, and 18. But you didn't see the tee shots. You only saw the approach shots and the putts. Then, as TV advanced, only the back 9 was televised. I thought it was revolutionary when all 18 holes were covered. How times have changed!!!
This one time I was hitting over a massive pond about 175 to the pin. Luckily I bladed my 7 iron instead of chunking it because it skipped 2 times over the water and rolled up to a 7 foot birdie putt. I missed the bird but laughed at the previous shot. Golf is a weird game. The game giveth and taketh
This past winter... topped driver, into pond, but it was frozen so it bounced out and rattled through the surrounding fence. Wedge, drain a 15' putt for a perfectly bizarre muni bird.
This video just goes to show how delusional we, as amateur golfers, truly are. All we ever see are the shots from 180 yards that nestle up to 3ft for a tap in birdie and we think that’s how the pros always play, which then makes us even more frustrated when we miss the green from 180 yards out. PGA tour GIR from that distance is 63% and these guys are damn near gods on the course. Play within yourself and have reasonable expectations and the game will be a lot more fun!
"That 5 iron has just gone 145 yards"
Me: Is.... is it not supposed to?
My heart goes out to these players. As a high handicapped duffer, I can feel their pain. Most of these shots look like my average play.
When he hit that shot "2 inches behind the ball" I'd consider that pretty solid contact, honestly.
@@tylersmall3169 I prefer to hit slightly thin, then at least it can run up the fairway while i shake my head.
I started golf 2 weeks ago. This weekend will be my 3rd week. I feel your pain

Is that not exactly what this video is?
@@NickMart1985 ding, ding, ding! You are correct! But they don’t do it for every tournament.
Good idea
Makes me feel normal
Golf.. can be a humbling experience.
Amateurs watch tourneys
Golf isn't hard. I get the most points every time I play a round with my friends. I got 162 points last week, a personal record.
@games and fun it's a joke dude....
@@carapusas ur slow
Wow😂
Someone want to tell him or shall I?
That's nothing. I got a 62 last week. I've never golfed in my life
watching this makes me feel so much better about my golf game
I can feel their frustration just looking at the shots but damn these guys know how to handle it without getting frustrated
Must be part of their success
I’d be going full Happy Gilmore
JT being like a third of them is hilarious
Finally. Some televised play that reflects my own. It's like getting my own commentary.
This has inspired me to consider joining the tour. I'm perfectly capable of making all of these shots we see the pros make here.
It’s hilarious how good PGA players are. I’m watching all of these shots and thinking “yeah I’d be pretty happy with that shot” on about 70% of these 🤣🤣
Couple mulligans here and there and this video looks about like my average round of golf 😂😂
@@gregoryent a “couple” 😂
JT on here several times! Makes me feel better because he’s a beast!!
They need to show these bad shots on the PGA Tour to remind us that pro golfers are human.
I agree
You're literally watching them show it right now.
That's why we have TH-cam now
For what? They’d still beat the best of us by 20 strokes on the typical courses we play. Seeing em make terrible shots doesn’t make me feel better in the slightest.

Feels like Justin Thomas is in every other clip. Love this guy
after watching this i can honestly say i play like a PGA pro at times 😆😆😆
The good and the bad
It gives us amatures some hope to see a pro mess up trouble shots once in a while. They do miss but of course their misses are not that often percentage-wise.
The Cantlay one was the strangest of the lot. Shows what pressure does.
3:06 - Danny Lee. I remember him winning as an amateur in Australia many years back. I thought he had the game to challenge the best.
0:56 Insert Mario jump sound effect here
I shot +6 today through 18 on a par 3 course. I needed this video to make myself feel better
Not a bad score at all bruv!
I’d be delighted with plus 6 after 9!
The most feel-good video I’ve ever seen.
I wouldn't doubt it if JT shanked one now and then after seeing those "zero" offset blades of his, crazy!
Golf is hard. But some these courses are impossible.
Boy was this therapeutic

I’m sure that was me in a few of those clips

I'm chuckling at their pain because now they know how I feel during just about every hole.
This makes me feel so much better about every shot ive ever shanked
I like these because it makes me feel way better about my game.
Ditto
I feel much better about my golf game watching this video.
Man this whole video just made me feel so good
This is so much better to than watching them hit it 320 and stuffing it from 127 yards. This is how they could attract casual golf fans.
A good laugh watching the boys with the old driver.
I don't get it. I thought this was going to be a compilation of bad shots 🤔
the caddy pulling the flag on that terrible putt that"went airborne a couple inches at least" as it rolled backwards over the fringe BROKE me
Don´t know why but I laughed my head off watching this….
They did JT's Prez Cup performance dirty 🤣

I hit 12 on a 245 par 4. 7 in the bunker!
I didn't even know there were cameras at my local muni, but I'm glad you got video of my last nine.
i look forward to this every year. I know yall think the same.
These video's don't necessarily make me happy but they for sure make me feel better about hitting bad shots on the course and that it's just going to happen lol
You can yell bite if you knocked the teeth out of it! LOL. That was funny.
imagine practicing and training your entire life...and then being placed on a worst shots reel 😭😭
watching this to make me feel better about myself
I'd take most of these shots any day
This makes me feel so much better
Thank you for this! It gives the rest of us HOPE! 🤣
all of these shots combined is what an average day at the course looks like for me
I have a 23 handicap and videos like these give me hope, lol 😂
This video makes me so happy.
It makes me feel happy when these guys play in my turf. 😅
This video is why I always tell people "I golf just like the pros"...
If that was me in those shots, I’ll rage so hard
As someone just starting out this makes me feel a lot better lol
If you rewatch this and pretend its there first time playing golf, the commentary is hilarious.
I just pretended they were announcing my golf play each time lol
I think the people that learned to golf on anything but a typical course have an advantage in many areas regarding accuracy

I play like a PGA pro! Excellent.
This makes me feel better after playing bad lol
4:23 that would’ve been my daily best lol
I love Joel, What a guy!
5:23 I think he just shouted FORE! :D
this makes me feel better 🤣
There should be lowlights from every tourney
I've made just about every one of these types of shots on Wgt
Seems like Justin Thomas hits more of these shots than most pros.
If I could take my dog with me I might golf because then at least I'd be walking the dog.
This is why i keep playing golf..
This is an amazing video haha.
He just putted it in the soup 😳🤯
PGA highlights only show the great shots/putts... nice to see that golfers can have bad shots also just like we do.
We can improve our average games by giving a chance to Golf Kinetics, trust me, I'm already getting better and better every time I train with it
I can see shots like these anytime. Don’t need to see them here!!
I love pga tour
The guy at the end got it all wrong, there was nothing to click in any spots that he pointed 🤣
After reading so many comments, I think yours is the most special. I am from Singapore, can I know you? ☺This is my whatsapp +60102458352
6:18 - good laugh at his expense.
These shots look pretty normal to me!
I was starting to think I was watching a Justin Thomas compilation
Somebody needs to rename this video to the PGA golf course engineers are sadistic
I could do all this in a single round. Bet.
4:21 bro the voices in the background are almost insulting the golfer 😅💀

Look at all these terrible shots that still look better than every single one of mine!
I don’t know much about golf, but if these were the best shots by professionals, I don’t want to see their misses.
This could be called Tour players playing like me 😂
this is me playing the new EA PGA Tour Road to the Masters lmao
Being a Pro or an Amateur.... There's a little devil living in some balls....
I don’t like watching this. I live it every time I play golf. I want to see people play well.
This looks like a compilation of my best shots
I thought this was a highlight reel from LIV.... I was right. 😂
This is me on Golf+ VR
What’s with the background music ?
