Still haven't seen a pro do what I did in a charity tournament. On a par 3 a car was offered if you got a hole in one. I hit the car.
Who cares that you hit a car on a par 3....what does that have to do with anything especially in regards to this video?

Tyrell Hatton has become my favorite player over the last few months or so. Keep an eye on him for some big wins I'd say..

@@dbc7772011 The ball ended up OB. He had to hit a provisional.
I can't hit any of these recovery shots that they are making, but it makes me feel better, as a newbie, to see pros having to shoot from the rough too. Everyone starts somewhere so I don't take it to seriously. That has allowed me to have fun taking up something new.

Jordan Spieth is the best wedge player on tour, he has some insane shots in the bag
I oftentimes forget just how good he really is. He exploded on tour and was a huge deal for a while, then seemed to fade away.

I love it when people use the putter off the green, because I always got the impression that it used to be kind of a taboo thing to do, or that it was considered a newbie move or something, and as someone who doesnt really play golf in real life, I never really understood this mentality.

its definitely a newbie thing to do because you cant really read the longer grass so its basically all just luck. that being said I pull that move out more often than not.

From what I understand, from memory, 10 seconds.
I was right. Rule 13-3 of The Rules Of Golf. Shows you how little I get to play!

@@allthingsmotor1073 Yeah, that is true, but from what I understand, they added a stroke after it went in to his score (which is the penalty for over 10 seconds). His playing partner unsuccessfully lobbied the rules officials to not do it.

I think Si Woo Kim got penalized on that shot for waiting so long before taking his next shot. The other players were convinced it was still moving, and were on his side for it to drop. But I believe it was all to no avail.
IIRC you are correct, because a ball overhanging the hole is considered not holed after "a reasonable time to get to the ball", plus 10 seconds to wait for it to drop.
A one stroke penalty for waiting too long when it actually drops just give you the same score as tapping it in though, its worse if it DONT drop...
@@tigerman1978 if I remember correctly his playing partner (forgot the name, but some older American I think) lobbied for him with the ref.
@@tigerman1978 So what would happen if a similar situation occurred from the tee box on a par 3? That ball took over a minute to drop in the chip scenario. It would probably take over a minute to walk from the tee box to the green from a part three. So if the ball dropped during that walk, my guess is there would be no penalty, because the player would not be in violation of waiting too long.
@@reedr7142 supposedly your given a reasonable amount of time to get to your ball. so they would have to judge if you took to long to get from tee to green lets say if you took a bathroom break ;}
@@reedr7142 I dont think anyone would call it unreasonable to walk from the teebox, or even wait for your playing partners to tee off before doing so?
