It launches upward straight off the clubface. The only way to compress the ball into the ground with a negative launch angle is to cold top it, or deloft a long iron to an extreme, non-functional extent. There was no way Schwartzel was going to 'destroy the ball' at impact.
That Quiros putt happened to me, but on like a 10 footer. Perfect speed, center cup, disappeared into the hole and then bounced back out. The guys we were matched up against were telling guys on the next hole about it.
