I LOVE this. *New Sub* Been trying to tackle Notion for a few years and I just can’t do. It’s a lot and I’m busy BUT I NEED it. My Apple notes are busting at the seems. I need to categorize everything in its place. I love what you’ve done. I do need some extra areas added as well 🫣🫣 love the book, finance I think I’d need help with it lol, exercise, habits etc I just don’t game lol but I do other things. I do need a work tab with its own calendar. Anyways I love this thank you. ❤❤
It’s truly life changing! I would definitely check out my Notion Basics video for some base level Notion knowledge that will help big time in the long run!
Kat, as a fellow business owner, optimizing my time and energy is so crucial and I love what you have created. Some people lean toward organizing and having systems automatically, but others are a hot mess. I know for myself, I'm a big picture thinker and a dreamer, organizing and creating systems does not come easily to me. However, I am always looking out for new ideas on how to best organize my time and be able to achieve my goals. Im obsessed with how thorough your processes and systems in Notion are. It looks like you have worked really hard to build and perfect it.
Question: Do you have a video tutorial on how to start setting up Notion if you are a complete newbie and starting from scratch? If you don't, I would highly recommend it as a series here on youtube. I know I would love to see and learn how to not only use Notion, but the step by step process it takes to create the system and templates you now have in place.

Hey!! Thank you for this sweet comment! It certainly has been a labor of love setting up my Notion system, but it has been even better to see how much it’s impacted my life!
I’ve actually considered creating a course on this exact topic, but more along the lines of walking you through the process of defining your own systems and then how to translate that into Notion!
But… for a Notion newbie, I would definitely recommend my Notion Basics video to know all the blocks available in Notion, and then I also have a video on creating your “Dream Template” which focuses more on the workflow aspect!!

I really found your Notion template good, after watching it a couple of times I was overwhelmed with so much information included. I'm sure takes time to perfect it. I am fairly knew on Notion and I'm creathing a new template for myself. Thank you for showing a sneak peek of yours.
Hey! Of course! There's A LOT of information in this template, it's so hard to do a quick overview of it! It's taken me quite a while to compile all the pieces of my setup - it definitely did not start out this way! Feel free to take inspiration from the parts you like and leave the parts you don't. When first creating your template it doesn't have to be robust! Just practical and easy to use :) Happy Notion planning!
I so wish I found this video before buying and trying several other templates that just never fully fit. I'm definitely cutting my losses and getting this ultimate BEAUTY of a template!! Thank you for really crushing Notion and knowing way more than I could ever know or learn about how to optimize the system! Love this!!

i too have been sacrificing my Destiny playing for some cozy game playing. I’ve been playing Palia and Stardew Valley. I also just started a new job so I am totally revamping some of my goals and financial stuff in Notion. I can’t wait to start releasing some more content as well. I can’t wait to see how your blanket comes out!!! I wonder if I can get my daughter to do something similar….. Love your videos Kat!!

I'm so glad you're loving it!! Yes! I just use the Unsplash plugin that Notion offers and search pastel clouds 🤣

I love this! How do you get the tasks to have the "do date" assigned to them when you drag and drop into the calendar as opposed to the general due date?
When you drag items into a calendar it automatically adds the date to the property! I have two properties, one for the general date and one for the do date. You’ll just have to pick which property you want the calendar to be shown by :)
Cycle syncing? Like, not bicycle! You read my mind ! 💚

HI Kat! I love watching your Notion videos. They are always so well thought out. I would love to know how to create one of those overview things (I'm guessing it's a database with relations or something) you use in several places on your dashboard. It seems like something I would really find quite useful in referencing my own data. Do you already have any videos that show how to make one?

I’ve been sitting on a video about Notion formulas (most of the widget is formula based), it’s just a monster of a topic so I’m trying to decide the best way to approach it 😅 I’ll try to prioritize this topic!

I’m so happy you’re loving them! I use Tella to record my screen recordings and that does a majority of the editing for me! I’ve got a video all about how I use Tella and some of the cool features with it! Then I finish up my full edits in Descript!

Hey! I just watched your formulas video and this one what formula do you use for the tomorrow widget?
Great question! I would highly suggest watching the Notification Center video which goes more in depth on what my formulas look like. For the tomorrow portion, I just use the dateAdd() function and add 1 "day" to the due date to have it check for that!
Hello, I purchased one of your templates and was inspired to use more buttons in mine. I have created a template for the moon phases that has buttons auto creating journal entries for each cycle. When I publish to web and try to share the link using the "allow duplicates" setting, the buttons show up as inactive and say "you do not have permission to use these buttons". I am intending to put this template on my site, so I'm wondering what sharing workarounds you used in order to allow folks to duplicate the template and use the buttons? Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide
Hmmm, it sounds like one or more of the pages you are using in the button is not included within the template you’re trying to share! You’ll want to make sure the source page is somewhere on your template page so your users can access them!
And the template for content creation you don’t present it to us? I would also like to buy it

What a creation, however this is way too complex for the average regular person to use on a sustainable daily basis - maybe you can do a video where you create a basic task list without all the bells and whistles for the average guy/gal to store their tasks on a daily basis - something more minimal - I am a digital minimalist and this one you made is just way too overwhelming and stresses me out. Thanks !!
Hey Gary, I completely understand! Lots of people use and love my template, but I know it’s not for everyone. When I create in Notion, my goal is always to make the most out of Notion’s features so that it is both functional and efficient. Writing out a task list every day just isn’t my style, I would rather plan once a week and let Notion tell me what to do! 🤪
Hopefully you can take away a few tips from this video on how to get the most out of Notion and its features while still staying true to your minimalistic style!
