Such a great video! I use lots of these tips but definitely take inspo from what I've seen on yours :) Also, Notion's free plan is for 5MB per file, not collectively. I upload images all the time and I'm yet to run into a problem with it!
I love this thank you! I have been using notion a while and I got some awesome tips from you. Also the 5mb is PER photo/file, not a total amount of space. I have a TON of photos of my own in my notion and I can continue to upload as long as the photo file is less than 5MB.
This is really helpful! I admire tidy, cohesive and soothing vibes in a workspace and am determined to spend a little time spiffing mine up to have pretty icons and covers!
It’s an iffy area, but it would take hundreds of hot-linked images to make any sort of impact on the bandwidth of the host site. You have to decide whether or not it’s okay to use those images for personal use. I would never sell a template with images from someone else that weren’t already included in the Unsplash stock photo partnership with Notion, but I am 100% okay with grabbing a book cover image link or a quote for my own *personal* use from the book retailer. 😊 However, another option that I have used is to screenshot the book, crop, and upload to something like Pexels and grab a link from there! 👌
Thank you for the video which is very helpful and easy to understand ; especially for a nonnative English speaker like me. Subscribed already 😊 by the way, it is a very nice view outside the window..look like a big field. Rice field?
Thank you! I use an iPhone 15 to film. In the more recent videos, I added a DJI mic for audio. Then my husband and I tag team edit on Filmora. We have a very budget setup going on over here, but it works!
The visuals in the mobile apps on iphone and ipad are still visually pleasing! Obviously, the workspace is a bit condensed and it's good to note that there are some things that you need the browser version to use (like tabbed workspaces), but I find it is easy and still aesthetic on my phone as well as my computer. :)
Thanks for this- super helpful! Do your "Life Areas" on your main dashboard link to a database? I currently want to link my life areas to a specific page (Example; Link called "Finances" link to my page called "Finances" which as a list of goals, projects etc. Do you have it setup like that ? or differently?
I think I understand what you are saying and yes, I do link out this database to others. So the Life Areas is a database itself with 5 pages (one per life area), but I've linked it to my Goals + Projects database via a Relation so I can assign a life area to each goal. Let me know if that answered your question!
ok looks like I'll need to play around with Relations to see how this all links together, For projects you rarely use a regular page correct? You use databases? That way you can link them around and have gallery views, etc?@@KalynBrookeCo

Thanks so much!
I found that once I went to all callout boxes, I could never go back. All of my client builds now are built in callouts - I just love them too much!
They are SO helpful!!

Thank you for that clarification! :)

Have fun with it!
I will be using callout boxes now . Thank you
🥳AWESOME!
@KalynBrookeCo also love the image link tip !!
These are great tips and I will be referencing this video many times as I add these to my workspace. Keep these types of videos coming!
Thank you, Adrian! If you're on Instagram, make sure you tag @kalynbrookeco with a screenshot. I'd love to see your updates! 😍
Wouldn't that be considered hotlinking? That cost the person hosting the image in bandwidth of their images being used ?

The 5Mb is for each image, there is no limit to the amount of images

Cinematic mode on the iPhone can do wonders! It's actually the desert of West Texas. 😁 (Also, so glad you enjoyed the video!)
What do you use for video recording and editing? Is that Ecamm? Is so professional looking.

Great looking page - how does it convert to a mobile version?
Does it still work aesthetically? 😊

I'm happy you enjoyed!

How do you get the pastel text or background colors without changing the font? I've watched videos on this but the font changes when changing colors.
Can you screenshot and email to admin@ kalynbrooke.com so I can see what you're seeing?
Probably my biggest hurdle is having it look very…excel-like whenever I create something 😂
I'm here to help! 😆

It's not true. It is possible to create a database containing all databases and apply overall settings to all pages at once.
That's very interesting. I'll look into it!
