  • IN THIS VIDEO I SHOW THAT YOU CAN MAKE VERY NICE THINGS FROM A CNC MACHINE THAT ARE NOT MADE OF PLYWOOD
I USE MAPLE FOR THE TOP AND CEDAR FOR THE SIDES THIS IS PROOF THAT A CNC IS NOTHING MORE THAN ANOTHER TOOL IN THE SHOP THAT CAN BE USED TO HELP CREATE WOODWORKING PROJECTS NO DIFFERENT THAN A TABLE SAW OR BANDSAW ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO USE IT

That cedar sure did turn out nice once you got down past the ugly, has me eyeing a little pile of cedar I have around here

I gave a like and I am subbing also...watching you make this box and other makers do things CNC is making me so drool and want a CNC...I am a machinist at work, but wood is my home hobby...I do CNC machining, so most of what I know will carry over to the router at home. I can see such a possibility of making money with a machine!! And I am close to retirement so making extra money will be a HUGE plus!!! Thanks, and that is a beautiful box, and I already can see changes I would make to personalize it!!! Another thing that impressed me is that your work table is not some fancy hi dollar table!!!!

How about that 15 likes and only 3 comments. Guess some don't like to say how nice this is. Really nice box. Like the lid. Oh and the sides also. hehe

my 2 cents: The carving at the top is a little hard to see. I like to use a small radius bit to make the details stand out, and add a darker wood stain to make it stand out even more

Vernon, really creative, beautiful box or fancy. Wish you could have shared the design in Carveco. I would like to make that box. That is if Onefinity ever ships my machine.

That is really cool!!! I’m just getting comfortable w my Shapeoko and I’d like to start doing 3D. How long did that take to cut?

As I recall each piece took about 30 to 40 minutes and the top an 1 to 1.5 hrs

Mr Hinkle I was just wondering would you consider giving some training using Carveco I was looking into there product and was impressed with them I haven't purchase a CNC yet and I could use some advice on that as well. IF you think 2 days is enough time I could meet up with you. If this is something you would consider please reach out and we can talk on the phone to make all the arrangements.

I’m not really set up for one on one in person instruction at this time however, I am more than happy to help you through instant messenger or emails as much as I can. My advice regarding CNC machines. I would look at the latest equipment released by Shapeoko
Or One finity they both have quality equipment
It was my intention to purchase the one Finity, but the waiting list was too long when they first came out
