Especially when the lossless version remastered for iTunes was released. It sounds so amazing. The original CD pressing was very brittle and cold. Why don’t people understand that this is a masterpiece of an album and I think even a concept album
I was about the same age when MTV had this video on regular rotation. I likely would never have known of this song if not for that. Looks like they went cheap on the video's production (and the sisters weren't looking their best - this was during a drug phase, as I understand it).
Definitely my all time favorite Heart song. You girls are unbelievable and the Kennedy - Zeppelin awards when you did Stairway To Heaven was one of the most overwhelming performances I've ever seen! Keep Jammin'!
That Kennedy Center performance of Stairway to Heaven was one for the ages. I often imagined it with horns and strings. Though adding Jason Bonham was beyond inspired. I saw tears in the eyes of two of the members of Led Zeppelin . An absolute masterpiece.
Once again....women who are so talented. under-rated more than any other rock band. Well this song by its self KICKS the most serious of rock ass!! Doin It.
I would carry both sisters from a burning building one on my shoulders and one in my arms. Both ladies are needed to preserve the sound and music of HEART!!💝💖
Wow-- really awesome to see this video! I didn't even know it existed. I don't think it's a great video, but it's a fascinating timepiece-- a sort of reminder of that awkward phase Heart had as they transitioned from the 1970s to their full-on '80s incarnation. =Compare this to their ultra-slick later videos (What About Love, Never, These Dreams, Alone), and you see the improvement: by the time they shot those later videos, they were total pros-- really knew how to play for the camera.
Saw them at New Haven Coliseum on this tour (Fall '83 I think), 15th row center on the floor. They opened with this. Great show from the Heart transitional period. Some guy named John Cougar opened.
What's amazing is just how underrated this band is. Weird how the most underrated band of all time (RUSH) and another extremely under appreciated band (Heart) both get into the Hall the same year. The guitar work in his song is amazing. Love the intro to this tune and this video.. And the whole thing works together as far as vid and song. I always thought as musicians this band was relly good, and this song is further proof of that. Great upload!

Underrated gem! Still have my vinyl copy! Side A and B's center labels are reversed on my copy for some reason. Always one of my favorite tunes. Too bad the album wasn't a success, but Heart didn't care as their BIG hits were about to hit... Magazine and Little Queen are my all-time favorites!!

@@dampergoldenrod4156 City's Burning actually got a good deal of FM rock radio airply, and it hit 15 on Billboard's Rock chart. Rocking Heaven Down came out before Billboard had a mainstream rock chart; I agree it should have gotten more airplay, IMO it's the best song on that album. The band was actually doing pretty well through Bebe Le Strange and Greatest Hit's LIve. It was 1981 after "Tell it Like it Is" hit the Top 10 that they really had the decline. There was a period in 1982 and 1983 that they were really uncool and viewed as a dinosaur band, but they smartly remade themselves in 1985.
