- Awesome live performance I'm guessing from 1978, but not for sure.
Ann and Nancy Wilson wrote this about Mike Fisher, who was Heart's original guitarist (he eventually stopped performing and became their sound man). He and Ann were dating. - เพลง
I’m 74 years old and seen Heart way back when. Loved them then and as much today. Does anybody have a Voice like Ann. NO
Thank you cuz I'm going to be jamming to this loud as I can till I'm dead got to be 56 in August😊 I'm going to try to get it as loud as I can wherever I may be❤ rock on girl power🎉🎉🎉
Seen em 3 times. , Every time was Supervaluus
For all you younger people out there this is what real musicians look and sound like.
I am 60 and saw them live in San Diego in 78. I was stationed at MCRD San Diego. I'm betting this is from that concert; watch the video of "Straight On" I saw a bunch of great acts that year. The music from back then was much more "natural" back then.
stop smoking dope. not even close
Your damm skippy , todays musicians can not , do not , & will never a have half the talent of the bands of yesteryear , especially the female bands or the vocalist supremacy of Anne ,the only one that i will credit to today is mariah carey ,that girl has the lungs .
If younger people are watching this video, then they already know.
I'm 31. Favorite band is Rush. Grew up on Heart as well. Love them. Got to meet my favorite guitarist, Steve Vai. Most amazing night of my adult life. But look, just because technology has increased and the pop music industry has castrated mainstream music of any heart and soul and depth, that does not mean that today's musicians are not as good. They just aren't blasted on mainstream stations because the music industry has conditioned the masses to listen to fluff about high school romance with no real musicianship. Listen to any band in the Djent genre and tell me there is no talent. The talent today dwarfs that of the previous decades, to the point that I can't keep up with it. Those of today's youth who value true musicianship have built on the shoulders of the musical giants and have taken it far beyond what anyone has done. The obstacle is the mainstream music industry telling them "less is more" and to "keep it simple" because "no one likes deep, complex music" and that "people just want a hook and a verse, and some electric noises to keep them happy." The other obstacle is their parents telling them there is no money in the music industry, people in YOUR generation discouraging them (I was one of the ones discouraged by this) by saying they need to get a REAL job, and that music is an irresponsible way of living their life.
But by all means, continue to think that there is no talent anymore just because you are closed-minded and won't listen to anything but 60's and 70's Rock, and just because today's music doesn't sound like the good old days of your youth, there is still TONS of talent out there. You just have to know where to look, and don't pass off what moves someone else (but not you) as talentless, soul-less crap. Kids these days.... No, there are those of us who value depth, soul, technique, and put our heart into it. Don't judge this generation's musical capabilities by the machine known as pop music. Rant over.
Met them as I got a call to bring up 7 bottles of Dom to the presidential suite in Seattle summer of 85' not knowing Ann would open the and I was blown away and with her smile she took my arm and guided me into the room where the rest of Heart were chillin' out listening to Sgt.Peppers .....Nancy had a little dog Labsa Opsa....Made my year!
Great story
Thank you! It was a great moment in time!
Dreamboat Annie...

It was a great memory!
Eat your hearts out swifters this is real talent and real music
I was there for this performance! Absolutely astounding performers. I went to this concert in love with Ann's voice and left blown away by Nancy's playing.
Never been so hot in my life! But what a GREAT DAY!
Lucky you
I saw them the year before at Convention Hall in Asbury Park on the day Elvis died. They closed the show with Zeppelin's "Rock n Roll" and dedicated it to the King.
Absolutely the best rock sisters ❤️😊!! Brings me back to so many fun times.
i can only imagine how mind blowing it must of been :)
I was one year from graduating high school. Still one of the best years of my life, and for music. No auto tune or backing tracks here. Just talent, passion, and power. ♥️
Despite their superficial musical differences, I always think of Karen Carpenter and Ann Wilson together, as the two greatest pop/rock female vocalists: extraordinary vocal talents without any artificial augmentation (beyond requisite amplification).
Nancy Wilson is the best Lita Ford and all the other chicks should've learned something
I agree.. Lita rocking roll chick's back in the day kicked ass
I graduated in 1977, I remember the first time I heard this song on a cold Dec night (in 76?) In an old pick-up going down a country dirt road. The speakers were massive and turned way up. It was an amazing experience. Ann & Nan have been in my Heart ever since.
Wonderful memories of the 70s in this song!! ❤
I love this song because it really show's Nancy's talent. Not only is she a very talented singer in her own ri9ght, but she has one hell of a talent with the guitar. God bless you Ann and Nancy Wilson for creating one of the most influential bands ever created! Rock on Ladies!
Nothing like responding 13 years later, but...the Wilson sisters were not original members of Heart

Which part did you not understand?
I was alive when these young ladies came on the music scene , with a brand new band called HEART!
My Ma and Aunt had lunch n beverages with Ann & Nancy in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Said "No Way" till I saw the autographed napkin. My Mom said they were so down to earth, real good people, not all up yours. Thank ya Ann & Nancy for being so cool to my Mom and her sister, My Aunt. :)
You see a live Heart performance from today and it's a fine job. Then you watch them play nearly 40 years earlier here and the youthful power and exuberance is just mind-blowing. What a treat for Heart audiences back then.
I saw them 3 times❤❤❤
@@user-ww1ln4qi4v❤
Im dead
And the great part is they were women playing their instruments and writing
Was there they rocked
The talent gene 🧬 runs strong in the Wilson family.
Still gives me goose bumps how good this is.
No doubt
Amen Bro.
To,me she's better than Stevie nicks! The,voice the instrumentals and her guitar playing!
Words can't express how good this is, I just can't comprehend how the younger generation can't get into this when all they have to do is go on u tube, they have just been brainwashed by all the crap that's been put out there the last couple decades.
How is it that two sisters can be so talented and both drop-dead gorgeous too?
Go check out the Corr sisters! Ann and Nancy certainly were stunners!
Stranger things have happened ... IDK?
And to think I was their favorite!
Haven't sent. God rocks u should know!
@@bycracky22 and then you woke up with sticky sheets!
No one can sing like Ann! Lot's of good singers out there, but Ann has this haunting sound, and such a powerful voice.
No, Linda Ronstadt is Queen!
@@stevee8884Now that I can understand. Ronstadt is incredible. Personally I’d give to Joplin if we’re talking rock’s best female vocalist. Wilson is awesome but I don’t feel she’s quite on those twos’ level.
Taylor Swift?

As a little girl in the 70s and a teen in the 80s this was a band that just blew me away. Girls rockin the hell out of a song!?! Still love them 40 yrs later
Me too! My older sister had a few of their albums and I wore them out.
They don’t get enough credit for their talent!
When music actually had talent
Nancy Wilson, great amazing superb guitarist. Ann is a great guitarist 2 she just dose not play that much due to her blinding voice, I get shivers every time i hear her voice!
SuperDiddzz ..
This lead guitar script is genius and just incredibly integrates with the theme. It doesn’t get better. From a 69 year old man
Ok.
To 69!
She was 29 then. In 1978…. But yeah, they are definitely legends
@@zoeyshoots - That makes her in her teens during the 60s. I bet she has some stories that would blow the minds of the millennials, z’s & a-holes. They don’t make them like they used too.
Ann is TITANIC on this!! What a voice!!!! The whole band was so, so good
Ann makes perfection look so easy....
I would die if I could ever play like this. Nancy Wilson is the guitar goddess! This is pure brilliance. You’ve gotta love rock from the 70’s. I almost had a heart attack from watching this.
I totally get why say that about a heart attack, fortunately, this performance will live on.
Keep practicing!
Nancy Wilson is the only reason I own an acoustic guitar. Nobody ROCKS an acoustic like Sister Nancy ❤️
My teacher met Nancy. She was very down to earth.
Her playing is so g
Nancy Wilson...was there ever a female rocker like her? I lament the absence of women performing like this in this current era. Singers are here, yes, but guitarists? No. I am thrilled to be seeing Ann and Nancy in concert in two weeks. Thankfully, their show must go on, and it has - with amazing force. Viewers of TH-cam; This is a true treat. We will simply not see this particular dynamic again, once these sisters are gone. They are to be cherished!
The Bangles. Vicki. Hell of a guitarist as well. Don't get me wrong. Nancy Wilson is Yabba Dabba Doo. But Vicki be rockin as well.
I lament men being able to play like this these days. I never thought I would look back & think Heart had the biggest balls in the room.
@@BrandonTWills
What does that mean?
@@manifestgtr - Current generations don’t know how to rock. And these young women are/were tougher & more badass than the young men are today. Also they had a better grasp of the English language.
God might have thrown away the mold after making Ann and Nancy Wilson
I had forgotten how good these guys are. Not only Nancy and Ann, but the whole damned band.
I love them both but Nancy was never given enough credit for her voice and contribution... I love Ann and I love heart now let Nancy shine!
Nancy Wilson is INSANE on the guitar y'all! 😉 😜 🎸 🎵 🎶
Always been grossly underated. It is rare for a great studio number to be played this well live. It requires great talent - even genius. Exellent, powerful song - the writing, the musicianship, the performance, the production, the sense of theatre, the originality. It is just so, so uplifting. There's a big influence of English bands like Yes (very like 'Roundabout' in several ways) Led Zep/Who/Queen (massive influence to US bands of the late 70's) 'Crazy' puts Heart forever in that tiny league
I remember seeing them, and I was like 4 rows back. and Nancy was jamming and I swear she looked at me, and I felt like a kid in kidergarden. I just froze. What a band to see live. like Van Halen...Scorpions...Rush...Fleetwood Mac........it's sad yu can't see concerts like this anymore. They have goofballs flying around on wires and crap....because the music sucks so bad. you didn't need that stuff back then. The music was enough.
Damn can Nancy play one bad ass guitar and Ann...what a set of pipes she has and has had since I can remember!
"Dreamboat Annie" is one of the greatest albums of all time with the absolute ballsiest singer ever. Ann Wilson is just a legendary!!!
Absolutely ❤
I was just saying if Heart came out today, they would have the biggest balls in rock.
Nancy's acoustic intro is great but Ann from 5:10 OMG unbelievable
Forgive me for saying this. But I grew up watching them in the 70s-80s, and those years in my opinion were their glory days.
это точно!
You are probably right some singers sing better when they are at certain age. But it is different for every singer depending on how much they care or abuse their vocals.
You're right. I remember when barracuda was all over the radio. The funny thing is, they weren't considered a chick band back then. That were a kick ass band that happened to have two very talented sisters fronting it. They could tear ass on some Led Zep covers back then.
Nancy Wilson's guitar work has steadily improved over time. Such a natural
Ann is simply a great singer. Very professional. And a class act.
Why is watching and listening to this video bringing me to tears? I'm glad I was able to see Heart live in concert back in those early days. Such energy and raw talent just pouring out on that stage.
man she can belt it out...
Still rockin today some 50yrs later. This is what real music from real musicians sounds like. No lip syncing.. no autotune.. no computer generated music. Music from my youth
I've watched this video about 10 times. Frickin' crazy awesome. Lead vocals.....whatever....everything! The backing vocals are hauntingly freakingly so damn good. And this band, everyone, at this point in their careers, was SO damn into their music. It's SO good.
I love Ann Wilson. She is the most underrated guitarist of all time.
Ann is the vocalist. Nancy plays the guitar.
These ladies became my favorite band in 1977 and still rockin it almost 40 years later with the same awesome sound as they had back then.
so cool: two teenage sisters that wanted to emulate their favorite male rock stars..... and years later, male rockstars are trying to emulate THEM. they are supreme!
Nancy is a killer guitar player !! 🤘♥️
Geezus, Nancy…that guitar work was absolutely beautiful! Bring Ann in on vocals… blow my mind, Ladies!
I was at this Concert.

Wow Ann - what a voice! Best female rockers ever. I recently saw an interview saying the band was always worried about Ann’s weight. But the fans didn’t care - we just loved her voice.
Young Ann Wilson is pretty hot though. Sad that the vocal cords are almost as fleeting as a trim waist line.
Heart at their very best when they were a great ROCK band with their original members.
What an amazing concert every band was great!
But as far as tight goes and Vocals were flawless

Heh. Maybe 75-ish. Had a college girlfriend who introduced me to Heart. They blew me away. I never made it to a Heart concert but I bought several of their albums. To this day, I'll queue up my Heart faves from time to time. Ann is/was great, but I think Nancy is severly underrated. Cheers!
In 1981 I lived on Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA , USA. I lived just down the street from these ladies. I used to go for a run everyday past there place. I always fantasized that one day one of them would come out and just happened to talk to me. Loved their music!!!!
This is the song they'll sing at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremony tomorrow ...with the original band...it's going to be EPIC!!!
In the intro, Nancy is like a musical god or something possessed by the guitar. It's inspirational. I'm in awe of her enthusiasm for the instrument. Pretty cool.
i get the chills when nancy kicks her leg up at 2:30, and i could listen to ann wilson for the rest of my life. heart is so amazing--true talent at its finest
Damn! Ann has to back off the mic at 5:07 because she knows if she screams at full power it will open a rift in space-time.
I need to go back to 1978 to watch this live
Ann is an extraordinary vocalist.
Wow, what an incredible introduction to the song by Nancy. Beautiful!
No wonder other generations hate us we brag so fuckin much they love their music and that should be good enuf
Saw them a few times in Dallas in the 70's-early 80's.... great.
Nobody has said anything about the drummer, so I'm gonna step up and say...Heart's drummer totally ROCKED!!!!
Ann wilson looks beautiful!
😩 omg they’re just gorgeous I love heart!!!!!! The queens of rock and roll! Legends!
Real musicians does not even say how good these ladies were ! Nothing compares butter would not melt in their mouths !!!
Nancy's switch to a new pick and that sexy jump kick-start to the hard strumming is one of the great moments captured in live rock.
Great live version. I love the way Nancy starts it.
Nancy's kick is one of the seven wonders of the world
Absolutely amazing!!!!!! Love them so much!❤
Awesome, although I do think they are even better now!
I love comparing, beautiful then and now. Best female vocalists EVER!
These ladies are pure badass rock and roll!!
I was at their concert in Toledo ohio that year, I happened to be in the pit right up by the stage. I was so close to it that I was able to rest my arm on it and look right up at her as she was singing and she saw me and gave me a big smile.
Graduated 1979. Still top five.
Wow over the years I must’ve missed this live Jem. Nancy fantastic on the guitar and Ann with her amazing vocals this band is just awesome:)
This is like a Super-Nova of molten awesomeness flooding the senses at the speed of light!
Wow, they deliver an incredible performance on this one!
A classic and one of my favorite heart tunes! Timeless Rock and roll by the sisters ❤
I was 16 yrs old and they came to Yakima Wa and they were so awesome now I'm 59 go figure how fast time go's by.
Jesus CHRIST, they sound good!!!
Wow ... Nancy just blazes, on a guitar!
Oh Lawd...back when life was simple...and easy... at least now it seems it was. *grin My favorites back then..AWESOME!!!!
Fortunately for me, i was born 04151964, i got to learn a bit about music before Heart got all over it...

Roger Fisher is amazing.
One of the greatest voices of our time
Nancy's intro divinely conceived. There has to be a God.
I cannot handle how fucking good Nancy Wilson is with a guitar. She mixes different styles, making her so unique compared to the rest. She is a master. One of the greatest of all time.
Still wow. I love every one of Nancy's intros I've seen, and, well... then there's Ann. In my mind, at least, in the top five of female vocalists, and Heart definitely my number one "female" band (whatever that is). Outstanding, so glad they're in the R&R HoF.

Ann sings like it is her life on the line...she sings her heart out every performace i have seen..I
Man, that voice is awesome
Ann is great obviously but... oh man does Nancy drive me crazy the way she moves around that stage.
I love her
The Wilson sisters showed the world that girls rock big too!!❤ love to Ann and Nancy.
Heart had such good looking talented musical men in the band, thank you ladies!! 😅

Found the audio version on internet. It was 12/31/78 from Seattle. Aired on King Biscuit Flour Hour originally. Ann is the best vocalist ever (male or female, any genre). Shame the original band broke up in the next year or so after this concert. '70's Heart was as good as any rock band EVER!!!!
