Wow, I find these very fascinating, especially since I’m a Christian it makes me wonder if the early church handpicked a few gospels and left other critical ones out may for control

Honestly. It’s such a shame that we lost so much of the Nag Hammadi Library. Just think about how much that lost pece of writing could have changed morder Hermetic philosophy.

The lion headed serpent represents the first two beings who asked the first two questions in the Bible. The sererpnt asked the question "Did God really say... " and the Lion asked a question "Where are you?" These two inquisitioners together are both a Lion and the Serpent as One Being.

As I was exiting Christianity, I was beginning to have an inkling that the Christian God and Satan were two sides of the same coin, and that Jesus and Lucifer were, in a way, different manifestations of the same person. Seeing this creature with the lion's head (often associated with God) as well as a serpent's body (associated with Satan) and having it give the First Commandment as if it were the Christian God is some fun confirmation that I wasn't the first Christian to think this way. The demiurge is now definitely going on my list of favorite mythical creatures.

OMG, I cringed internally when you mentioned that Farmer's mum burned some of the documents to start her fire! lol

head of a snake being a lion, which was used to depict the apex predator, you can find the elite and ruling classes using symbols of predators or even carrion feeders, like egypt, with it's jackals, hyenas, and vultures, scavengers, the snake could also represent the circle of life, the snake eating it's own tail, the part that eats is the head/predator, the tail being the prey, there is a tradition in a certain religion where they eat the head of an animal, usually a fish, on a certain feast to symbolize them being the head and not the tail, it's why some people call the "ruling elite" types the "predator class", when you see it this way, you can see why this is the image of the evil samael/yaldobaoth or whatever

For years I have dreamt a serpent with a cat face, and I would always have deja vi as if I had seen it in real life as well. No matter how many times I tried to look it up, it never came about. Yesterday I started to look into the demiurge, and come across this - wtf?

I personally think Christianity started at the council of Chalcedon and not nicea thing.Jesus is made off of Serapis

Back in 1991, a luminous cloud formed in my room and then an entity with a doggish lion-like face and a serpentine body came out of it. It was the only time in my life that I had such a visual event. The entity looked just like the image at the beginning of this video...it is not a symbol...it is a graphic of something real. As a child, I was baptized Greek Orthodox, later attended a Methodist Sunday school and a Roman Catholic youth group. I had no knowledge of Gnosticism until 2019. There is more to the story of my encounter with the Demiurge/Chnoubis/Yaldabaoth/Abraxas, but it is not something I can fit in this comment section. There are definitely realms beyond this world of time and matter.

A few years ago I had a plant medicine experience where I saw this creature that was quite large in stature and with it's hands it was controlling what looked like a matrix field that moved like an ocean in waves. He was in the middle of it and the matrix field was made up of glowing lines fashioned in a grid that moved with the wavy motion of the creature's hands.

I feel much sympathy for the image of Yaldabaoth; blind and trapped inside an egg-like dome, unknowing, cold, alone. The blind God, the alone one. All its dreams are but a painful reminder of how alone it is. Able to only run inside itself, never really getting anywhere at all. Again and again, returning evermore to its beginning through its end. All its knowledge hollow and empty - for it cannot know anything it did not create for itself to play with. All the beauty and love and journey it will know, both naught and all, numinous and loomy machinations of its own hypnagogic churning. Divinity and magic in every breath, in every crumbling mote of dust or vibrating star... yet always at an arms reach, always just a little further away from being wholly captured.
