this build is very fun and dishes out good dps, however i tend to have some issues with certain rare mob packs, especially when they are fast, molten, chains. nonetheless thanks 4 the build!! btw do you stack lifesteal also?

awesome build man...just one question --so when you run out of fury (which is inevitable at some points), you just stop WW and use frenzy? Also, could you give us an update to see how this build fares in act 3/4?
It is all about stats (vitality, resists). You could even do it with 2h weapon, just stack good enough gear. Molten are one of the harder, but it is possible to whirl at the edge of pack, so you dodge the fire.
@ae1337 where did you farm for gold mate? I'm kinda stuck on my barbarian atm, no idea where to farm some decent amount of gold to be able to buy at least half decent items...

Look up sprint tornado, that gives you more than enough fury, whirlwind alone has pretty low proc coefficient to trigger enough fury for continous use (13% of your crits trigger fury, not all ). Sprint in tornado build, combined with ww, adds tons more hits with 20% coefficient, makes possible to whirlwind forever. Note that this video is very very old, 2 weeks from game launch. Game back then was much harder (nerfed difficulty pretty much in each patch). So this whole video i pretty outdated.
Prices vary. Once more people hit 60 (and for vast majority of normal players, process of leveling is quite slow), there is more demand for resist gear, so everything gets more expensive each day pretty much. Items I bought few days ago, now are often 5x more expensive, or more. So hard to really tell, depends on many factors. You obviously want to buy something cheap. I didn't just go to ah and purchased all needed items that were currently available. It is long process of sniping best bets.
Hey ae1337, is block needed? or can you just rock a 2h with this? my buddy said that on hit with two one handers works retardly well with your build. around 1.2k life on hit from weapons. along with with WW. i wanta use a 2h... any idea?
This build on paper would seem to be bad at ranged mobs. How would you do against elite/champion wasp/caster packs ? In this video you seem to just avoid/ignore wasps
Still I don't understand how you have so much hp. Did you buy items with vitality mostly? What's your strength? Do you have both armor passives? Is enchantress mandatory for that amount of defense? Thx for answers.
I have the same setup except battle rage. I use Ignore pain with Ignorance is Bliss rune. This setup really does depend on items. I currently can run through a mob and not lay off the WW. With Ignore Pain with Ignorance is Bliss rune I can use that every 30 seconds for 5 seconds solely for the health boost. I will most likely change over once I hit the lv 60 cap.
Hes doing very well here. Only down sides I see are your using a sword. Use mace/axe and have weapon master passive. (+10% crit chance) . Then instead of a swinging move at all ( frenzy etc) use spring with run like the wind. The tornadoes will give fury and if u have life on hit it still counts. Constant unending fury-gen....win
you just chase them, can kill with frenzy This isn't really about build, it is about stats. With these items you can play classic barb with just revenge. Build doesn't allow you to get away with weaker items. At certain point of stats, you can use all kinds of stuff in act3 that works. And same setup will be completely destroyed in act3, without significant further upgrades.
like a ballet dancer, he picks a point and locks eye to it as he turns. then he rotates his head and locks on that point again. keeps motion sickness and dizzyness to minimum
Weapon had good stats besides dps (which is not most important), and that was at time when such dps was a lot, since weapon market was not saturated with high dps weapons yet also at that time it was much easier to buy resist gear, because people just didn't know it is best stuff to trade for (I guess), all kids only cared about as high as possible magic dps weapons
You know he's using it for the damage amplification, and for single target fury generation? If it doesn't make it up to 4-5 stacks, it was a short fight, and therefore easy. And it helps where the build is weakest, single target.

found my armory? not sure if there's even a way to do that without partying up with the person at least once... but either way, I haven't crafted any of my items. I did however change my build last night, now I am only able to do about half the damage I used to, but this way my resistances are much better... even was able to take down 3 blue packs and 2 yellows at the same time in Act 2... my kiting just kept bringing more enemies to me...
Hi, Nice vid. But i dont get the point of it. With your gear and stats you can clear act 3 , 4 , and diablo on inferno. So i dont understand the idea of going back to act 2. Doing it for fun? np with that. Doing it for farming? i´d be farming act 4 and diablo with your gear.
currently my stats are much better, as i advanced to further acts and kept upgrading everything it gets harder and harder to get an upgrade, but also more satisfying to literaly feel every tiny difference, as you are used to your previous setup
i go with the old build frenzy+revenge+warcry+leap+berz i only added rend i have 900 all res 40k hp and 37k dmg, im using Skorn as weapon i have 20% crit chance and 335% crit dmg, when i use berzerker (100% dmg rune) revenge bites their head off with 500+ K dmg in act3 :D its great for soloing but ww build is much better in a group, tested!
Your description doesnt say how you got your block rate to 46%. its almost impossible unless you have insane gear. this isnt possible for the average player so its best to stick with the tank build and run with a DH.
you know... if u use battle rage with "into the fray" rune you can ww forever in a big group ...also if you use wrath with trive on chaos with this u can stay beserk forever :) gl
nice build, but it will work only with insanely great base defense AND offense stats, at the point I have now almost the same def stats, but crit? 30+ totaly unbuffed? its just wtf? how much gold did you buy from gold sellers to get this gear? realy.... I'm going to buy a glove now for 1 mill that has str-vit-all res, but no crit and anything else, your current gear is only available if you constantly play and farm from start without sleep or you just bougth gold, thats my only problem.

The better gear you have, the more options of build is open. And boring revenge tank is not really all that fast, it just works with cheapest gear. I'm disgusted by all these revenge/charge shield using barbs with 0 dps. I switched to 2h for act 3 and 4.
so in other words, if you are playing with a party with a tanky character and going offence is your style try going all out for Str, Attack speed %, and Vit... those are my main stats, but I would also highly recommend getting resistances up... try to find All Resist rather than certain ones... so if you want a play style like this, which worked for me to solo Act 1 without a problem, then here's my build "us.battle . net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#WSYPVk!XYV!ccZZca" wish you luck man
I spent about 11 mil on my setup... with my build I can get up to 58K damage at full Frenzy stack and full fury, when in berserker I am at 108K damage... only drawback to my build is I have the shittiest resistance ever (my highest is 220, 2nd highest is 207, all others are under 200...) but my armor is at 10K (while Buffed)... so pretty much my character is a glass cannon, able to melt away enemies, but they're able to do the same in certain situations. guy in the video is went more for defence
Hey, have you tried "D3 MaxOut Turbo" (just google it)? There you will find a smart free video explaining how you can speed run Diablo 3. It helped Jack to speed level through Diablo 3 and therefore max out his character very fast. I hope it will work for you too.
care to explain how in the world you have only 780 dps weapon but all other items are so strong that you reach 52k hp + 900 resists (lol?) and even 10k defense. I have 900 dps 1hand weapon but still 21k hp and 1k resists. Items with vitality + str + resistances are extremely expensive. Especially with additional critical hit chance. On the top of that, you uploaded this on 27th may, that means you had only 12 days to gather all this gear. Something is rotten.
The funny part is to get your stats 52k hp 800-900 all resists (buffed) 10k def (with enchantress) block chance 46% melee damage reduction 22% 16k dps in town (buffed with battle rage, maniac frenzy and berserker - 32k) weapon 780dps sword 33% criical hit chance unbuffed (+56 with revenge, battle rage and berserker) 210% critical hit damage. We NEED FULL ACT 4-3 GEAR just to fucking kill some mobs in ACT2 this is so retarted.

all it is based on is life on hit i have the same set but with a bit more damage and less life and all resist it is easy i there is alot or minions but it there is all ranged caracters u will get destroyed

Dont you think that superstition would be more beneficial than tough as nails? Especially for your build - > helps with fury regen.

it was basically each slot with about 100 strength, vitality and resists
Why does it look like your whirlwind crits every single hit
legendary ring 11% block (250k on ah when i bought it), and legendary helm with 8% block, cost me about 400k.

clearly geared with purchased gold. those bees 3 shot me (9500 armor, 35k hp, 850 resist all)
