Alveoli helps in exchange of gases. It gives OXYGEN to blood and the blood gives it CARBON DIOXIDE!
Question 3. Characteristics of Alveoli.
Main two characteristics are -
a) Large surface area - Any organ where exchange takes place must have larger surface area so that the exchange can occur easily.
b) Blood Capillaries - Alveoli transfer oxygen to blood so it is necessary to have a medium for it.
