It looks nice, I just like my own space. I'm staying for 3 weeks in old town in a place called SK House. 17 bucks a night for an air conditioned room, and I think 11 bucks for no air conditioning. It's pretty bare bones, but it has everything you need like a TV, a chair and there is a pool. If I was younger, though, the hostel would be perfect.

It is a wonderful option for those who are on budget. Since they have private bedroom that may attach more people. Thanks Tony!

I rented a new luxury small condo for $230 USD A MONTH for 2 people, this place is $600 a month for 2 people.our place was $8 USD per night for 2 people and it had a beautiful pool too and was brand new, this is not a cheap place to stay at all, a friend of mine is living in a older condo for USD $170 per month, but it did not have a pool, ours did.

It makes a difference whether I rent something for a month or stay overnight for 3 days. You can't compare it that way in terms of price. Your place is not available to rent for 3 or 5 days.

Tapae In, right on Tapae road has private rooms with their own bathroom for 250 BHT a night. Yes, it is old and funky. It also has a lot of charm. It's almost like a museum. Worth at least checking out.

As of mid-April 2024 their website seems to be an expired domain (hopefully they'll fix that and get it back soon) but I found them on another booking site. The private room is 3 or 4 times the cost of the dorm-style rooms. Also, in case it wasn't obvious, that road around the moat is a main road with a lot of passing traffic which for me personally is a problem. So thanks for making this video but I guess I'll stay elsewhere.

Very nicely done, $10 per night, is there an extra charge if you stay the day also ? (Kidding)..good starter for a solo traveler 🙏🏻🇹🇭

The hostel looks very clean and cosy. Great location too. However, at $10 USD / night (350 baht), a few bucks more will get you a nice private room in Chiang Mai with your own bathroom. Even cheaper if you rent a serviced apartment offering monthly rentals (although you'd have to pay for electricity use and leave a security deposit). Still, this hostel is a nice addition to Chiang Mai.

1.Why would you leave your security deposit? ( as you stated) That refundable. 2. Not everyone want to sign a 30 days short term rental

exactly, this place is expensive, Chiang Mai is a very low cost place to stay/live, people on a tight budget choose Chiang Mai for that very reason

I like Chiang Mai, but it is very cheap compared to beach areas because the burning season is 3 months and there is no beaches, you get what you pay for. I would not live in a place that you can't breath for 3 months (sometimes more). Hua Hin wins for me, but everyone is different

Hey. Off topic from the video, but I’m looking for a motorbike in Thailand. I am limited to 125cc and i think the Honda pcx would be good but i cannot find any 125 pcx newer than 2011. Is there anything you know about this topic?

The Honda PCX is a 160 cc. The older ones are 150. You can find them you just have to look. I owned one and I loved it.

Good info ℹ️ but it’s really convenient for those who travel like hopping from country to country with a backpack 🎒. Myself I have to look deeper into condo or hotel in Chiang Mai area for my weeks vacation but this place is nice , hope others take interest in it for their own benefit.
Thanks for the video an catch you on the next episode
