  • Today I was fixing a squeaky whirlpool dryer. This did not require any new parts. I just had to add lubrication to a bearing. If you have any questions leave them down in the comments!

Used your video to make the dryer stop squeaking in 30 minutes. The wife's happy, and I'm back to sittin. Thank you sir!

Just fixed my dryer after finding your video. About an hour all in. Big appreciation for taking the time to make this.

Following up - mine ended up coming back and the fix was a faulty idler arm. Keep that in mind if your sound returns.

@@Real_Dad_Gamer If they're squealing, thats the fix and the oil it a short term bandaid until you can order a new bearing.

Thanks this helped me fix a noisy belt with my newer maytag. Removing back cover was different but it looked very similar on the inside and had even more lint than this one after 4 years.

the rollers are not lubed because most lubes are flammable like WD40 and 3 in oil , that and lint landing on the burner housing would catch fire . Sprayon has a synthetic lube that is non-flammable that is what used for this repair

Very nice, I have a slightly different model (no need to disconnect the gas line, lol) but this helped me disassemble and plan my repair. Thank you!

We bought a brand new Whirlpool front load washer in 2019 and it lasted for 3 years. Avoid Whirlpool and their affiliate brands. The only thing that today's Whirlpool washers have in common with the older, long lasting, reliable Whirlpool washers is the name that you see printed on the front of the machine.

I used sewing machine oil. Smells better than 3 in 1. I found that silicone spray doesn’t do nearly as good lubricating as 3 in 1. But, sewing machine oil did the trick. Everything is spinning as it should.

No more matter what brand you get whether it be Whirlpool or GE or LG they're all going to have the same idler pulleys the same issues and unless you do maintenance there are not going to last nothing anymore is maintenance free you have to lubricate things periodically it's not going to last forever if you don't if you want to buy a new one every three or four years then that's good if you want to make it last for a long time you have to clean it you have to lubricate it is called maintenance

Awesome video, i did step by step & all was good with my dryer, the noise stopped and it worked fine until about a week later and it started making the same noise again. Any idea what else i can do to stop the noise? Thanks in advance

W10118756 idler arm gets worn and hangs up on the shaft. Need to replace that idler and arm and you'll be good to go.

I have a slightly different model. I can not find a way to remove the back plate. I have remived every screw and bolt and have the top off, but the back plate looks almost like it is a part of the sides and bottom.

Would thrust lubricant or wd40 work or should I use something a little more thick? Do ya think

International epoxies IES clear pin Lube 4550 absolutely if you put that on there it will stop any type of wear and friction this stuff is so slippery that when you get it on something or get it on your fingers you can't get it off you have to wash it and watch it and wash it and wear it all it is absolutely the most slipperous lubricant I have ever come across I just can't say how many times how good a lubricant it is it is absolutely hands down the best and it lasts longer than a week probably last years and then you can go back in there and reapply it got a straw on it give it a couple shots and it's good for another three or four years maybe longer maybe maybe never have to reapply it

Just like a Honda or a Toyota everybody thinks those are so phenomenal I myself personally there are some amenities certain smoothness about them but in the end it all boils down to maintenance you can buy an American car do good maintenance to it and I think it will last every bit as long as a Japanese car it's all about maintenance and you need to learn to do it yourself because if you pay to have it done you'll buy the car over several times

Well you're kind of on the right track it's a shame you did all that work taking it apart and you did not have some clear pin Lube part number 4550 manufactured by International epoxies and sealers from Florida IES this clear pen Lube has an incredible lubricating ability way past anything WD-40 or three-in-one oil ever even thought about if you can get it down inside the plastic to metal contact it will not only lubricate that part for a long time it stays on where you put it it goes on as a phone and then actually turns to a film of oil has an absolute super lubricating ability even better than chainlube will not wash off will not attract lint or dirt absolutely phenomenal absolutely get some if you would have done that with pin Lube that 6 would have lasted for many many years to come the three and under oil probably it'll start squeaking in about a month
