Just a guy trying to figure out how to make my Whirlpool Cabrio WED8000DW4 Dryer stop screaming. Not a professional appliance repair person.
    Repair kit part number: 4392067

Good video, I've done a bunch of these over the years. But it's nice seeing it ahead of time. Really speeds things up. One thing I only received 4 rollers also. I took the best spinning roller and moved it to the front and farthest away from the heater. Reason being if that old roller goes out I only have to remove the front panels and not take the drum out!

You don’t need to replace all of that if anyone runs into the same squealing noise. It’s the belt tensioner making all the noise. Just replace from removing the back panel and carry on..

Thank you sir! I will add that even though we have the same rebuild kit. My belt that came with it was to small. I fit it on the drum but it was way to tight and make the blower fan shaft start making a bearing noise. I took a video of me spinning the drum. I went to my local dealer/service tech and he right off said the belt that comes in that kit is to small and to install my old belt. I came home and put the old belt back on and it is running perfectly!

You know what?! I ended up doing the same thing! Mine snapped almost immediately… I’m pretty sure I routed it incorrectly, but maybe the length was a contributor.

Thanks for this video. I used it to fix the same problem with my dryer. The repair shop that I bought the belt and rollers from told me it’s almost always the roller closest to the exhaust. I have zero experience fixing dryers. Your video really helped.

I just removed the back cover and the white wheel beside the motor. I pulled the white wheel off of the shaft and greased it.

So funny story. I just used your video to replace my wheels, I have the WED8000wd3 and I saw your kit only came with 4, so i bought an extra wheel. I took apart my dryer and turns out mine has 6 wheels 🤦
    Thanks for the video!

Where is the heating coils located on this dryer? I have this dryer and it is not drying.

if you go to about 4:09, they're in the metal enclosure at the bottom right of the frame with the orange wires going to it.

I have the exact same dryer and had this problem. I ordered an after market referb kit for $17.69 on Amazon.
Anyway, this video helped out a great deal! The belt they supplied was incorrect but the pulley and rollers fixed my problem. I guess I’ll get a belt later.
Thanks for the motivation and the excellent guide.
