Hello guys, Hope you guys are safe and healthy. This video I shot last year but edit it last week. So this video is all about running a 4 star inverter AC for 24 hours continuously at 26° C / 78.8° F. My room size is 120 sq ft / 11.2 sq meter. I got so many request for this video and hope you guys like this video.
I started my at late noon around 4:40 pm and the outside ambient temperature was around 35° C / 95° F and my room temperature was 33°C/ 91.4° F.
Here is the result : Running a 4 star inverter AC continuously at 26° C / 78.8° F for 24 hours.

I measured the reading on sub meter it takes 1.5 unit in 2 hours. Of run time on 22° c temp on AC

Hey, this was such a great video! Thank you so much, you showed us an hour by hour breakdown of how much energy the AC was consuming, how much it had dropped the temperature by, and what the power consumption in each point of the timeline. Just one criticism - you messed up the KWh (kilowatt-hour) and KW (kilowatt) in several points of the video, and that really confused me out of my mind. Like, when you were showing the blue screen on the right side - you were showing the KWh after 30 minutes, 1 hour, and so on, that's not exactly KW. Other than that, great video, bro. Helped me a lot!

Inverter type acu is cheaper to run if you use it for more than 5hrs per day. Coz after4-5hrs, it will like to run the acu on lowest wattage. So estimated 240w per hour for 20hrs is like the half of your total consumption.
yeah, i noticed this as well when it exceeds 8 hours. The inverter AC power draw would drop around 200 or 300 watts but the first 6 hours would be a consistent 400-500 watts. This is when the thermostat temperature is 23 degrees Celsius and an outside temperature of 30-35 degrees Celcius.

Usually people make sure room temp is 24 to 25 celcius, humidity should be atleast around or below 40%.

Did you ever test the power consumption of a front load fully automatic washing machine with this device?
It will be 250w only for cold wash and with heater on it depends on temperature out side. Lower the temp higher the consumption.
I have checked for IFB 2-3models all between 6-8kg

If a split AC system has 3 wall units, the compressor is 36000 BTU, if I run one split unit, two spilt units, 3 split units, can you estimate the break down in KW consumption?

Do test for every temperature from 30 degree to 16 degree each for 24 hours not only at 26 degree....
use ur common s ense , only at 24 to 26 ac consumes less power, after that there will be hardly any diff and ac will use 1 unit per hour if u set temp around 21 to 23,and if u set temp to 20 it will use 1.6 units per hour.

If u want to save electricity in ac usage u have 2 ways,
1. Cool the room first by running ac on lowest temp for 30 min then set it to 24 with medium or full fan..
2. Buy smart plug..use schedule for whole night on 23 degree full fan,
My monthly bill adds just Rs 700-800 in invertor ac with 4-5 hr run per day

Hello sir I have voltas 2 ton 2 star AC 242LZH, I run it for 3 hours in wich 1 hour on 24 degree and 2 hours on 27 degree My meter consumption unit is 7, Is it normal or there is any problem.
Sounds normal, If outside temperature is high like 36 degrees and you want 24 celcius in room. You will have heavy consumption. Also if room has heavy electronics it can add heat to your room.
Make sure outdoor condenser is cleaned and sitting in a ventilated and possible shaded place.

I think it should be small since the logic of the Dry mode is to turn on the compressor periodically for it to "dry" the room and not cool it.

Yeah all very impressive for a NEW AC.....after 5 years will it give you the same performance. AC's are the most no ROI product that ive bought and forced to buy in my life. Theres no assurance of it will cool and when it will suddenly just not cool. And how much cool is cool. Ive never seen an ac after 4 years which can bring the room to 25deg if youve set the remote to 25deg. I have a 4yr old inverter Samsung split now which (as im typing this) is set on 22deg 7 hours ago, nonstop running also the room temp is just 27deg now. First 2 years it used to correctly bring it to at least within 1 deg of what we set it. When we buy a camera it will take photos. When you buy a phone, you call and msg and do what its meant to do. A car will after 7 years also give almost the same mileage that it gave 5 years back. An AC will just impress you the first year and after that its only downhill. Bad cooling...failure of parts for even a sparingly used ac.....what not. I just hate them....but cant live without them.

@@RoyTecTips the hour wise experiment is impressive. All the split ac demands more maintenance over window ac. Inverter ac costs more and it's PBC is quite expensive.considering all those for optimum user window ac can be a option. Can you make an experiment with old general 1.5 Twindow ac . Hour wise power consumption for 6 hrs. Point to see once 26 * temp is maintained what's the pwr consumption. You can also add the air flow aspect. Ac can blow more air can cool faster. Thanks

Hi @RoyTecTips, I wounder, if my ACs have problem? All videos says, it won't go beyond rated wattage of ACs, where as my ACs are going beyond rated maximum wattage, either it is Daikin or Samsung, and no companies have a clue. Around ~22 % for 1 Ton, ~30% for 1,5 Ton, in normal cool mode for 1st hour. I open all doors in morning to make air ventilated and start AC after 10 AM closing all openings. Do you have any idea? All other mode consume more than rated max wattage for first 2-3 hours. All are inverter models.

I recently bought a Carrier 1.2 ton invrtr ac , room size 130sqft. On the top floor and sunlight hits directly !
Today at about 1pm i turned on my AC at 24℃ when the room temperature was 33.3℃ and outdoor temp was 36℃.
After 1.5 hrs, the temp inside the room droped down to 27℃ bt after 2 hrs it remained in 27℃ even the set temp was 24℃ ...!! What is the cause of it ?? Is it a fault in ac or else ??
The concrete roof must be releasing the hot humid air to your room.
Same happen with my LG AC ..it never reaches the set temperature ..always at 26
