Very nice setup. That stock is definitely an improvement over a typical AR style stock where it's almost impossible to get a good cheek weld when using a big scope.
Do you like the QD point in that position for your rear location. I find it gets in the way when I shoot right. I just ordered a QD Cup Type 2 so I can use the QD point on the right side of the stock towards the rear. It’s silly they didn’t add the full QD option on that side without removing the plastic cover and adding a cup. I love the rest of the stock.
It’s so so here. It should’ve been on both sides like you suggested. …not like it would add much weight or cost. I like the stock though I wish it didn’t require a tool to adjust. A push button would’ve been better and within a few grams for weight I suspect.
Thanks Shane. The upper is an LMT rifle length monolithic rail platform (MRP) with their barrels. You can switch barrels on this platform in about three minutes if you’re being careful, two minutes if you’re in a rush. I’m shooting factory length reloads with either Hornady ELD-M 80s(really good) or Berger 85.5s (just a bit better). I feel like this setup is a solid first round gun to 3/4 mile and then the round is losing so much steam it gets considerably more touchy on wind. -it’s about the same as a .308 168 VLD. So, it’s great for training and in an urban environment it’s hypothetically the cat’s meow.
Not really. I think this one would be better and it’s what I used before this stock: magpul.com/moe-sl-m-carbine-stock-mil-spec.html?mp_global_color=118 -Mike

Agreed. Pros and cons. What platform and round are you shooting to those distances? Impressive sir.

It’s got an adjustable Triggertech trigger in it too.
@@Rangetechus love the set up. So much thought into it.
Love the look these, was thinking of putting one on my 20in SPR. Would this be to heavy for a rifle I regularly hike with?
I don’t think it would be too heavy for a rifle you’re hiking with. I hike with this rifle pretty often.

I’m a precision shooter at heart. My ar stocks feel like toys. You this would be a good fit for a 16” gpr/recce rifle with a 1-6?
Not really. I think this one would be better and it’s what I used before this stock: magpul.com/moe-sl-m-carbine-stock-mil-spec.html?mp_global_color=118

What is that rig you are using with the shooting sticks tripod and accessories?
I’m using a Leupold Pro Guide tripod
Your intro says magpie 🤣 nice review
Lol Probably. Gotta love autocorrect and it’s fight against spelling…
