I really love how these vlogs are for you. It translates beautifully you are beautiful and very intelligent. Seeing life through the real lens of the artist. ❤
Thank You !! Excellent video . I appreciate your content . You help me narrow down my closet to the pieces that work best at specific times in my life. The questions to ask one's self are extremely helpful .
Thoroughly enjoying your videos. Love your styles on you. Loved the sandles. Black is not your colour, though. Harsh. Skin tone, not hair colour makes for suitability. The steel grey beanie/ cap looked amazing. I think Tonal colours seem to work on you. (Colour theory). I would love to go back to my younger self that wore so much black and thought I got away with it because of my blondeness and self tanner or makeup. Keep up your beautiful work!
Growth and transformation are two of the most beautiful parts of being alive, which is why it always makes me a bit sad when I see people complaining about the direction Patricia has chosen to take her personal style and channel in. Many seem to be confused as to why she removed her older decluttering videos too, but the reason is very clear. She simply does not resonate with that part of herself anymore. After all, you can't be in an infinite state of minimizing. Eventually, people reach a targeted goal and then they move on to other things that they'd like to achieve. The decluttering/minimalism side of TH-cam is obscenely over-saturated. The earth-toned fashion side of TH-cam is also over-saturated. There are countless channels to choose from if that is what you are seeking. It is not Patricia's job to fulfill that role for you, especially if she obviously has no desire to. And if you value her as a unique and multifaceted human being, I don't know why you'd want her to keep making that content.
@@yuli_yuli my boundary with this platform is that I’m happy to meet people where I’m at now. I have no intention to keep every thought and impulse I’ve ever had on record. I never have. I’ve always progressively been putting my old content to sleep. Where it belongs. Sunrise, sunset.💀✨
Thank you for always bringing me some ocean to see and hear along with all your awesome content!! Seeing your style evolution helps me to be at peace with my own.
Looks like some people don't like change. I'm all for it! Leave it to you to go luxe when other influencers are abandoning it. I like that you think you deserve nice things. Like most things, moderation and a look in to brand's sourcing is a good thing to do. Enjoy experimenting and boldly go where you've not gone before.
I absolutely agree 💯- I have been following along since the start - As we are the same age, and God forbid that I was wearing the same things 8 years ago - we change, our style changes and our budgets change. Since turning 40 - a couple of years ago - I made the decision to buy well, and buy for investment- my clothes come from only Toast UK, and my hiking/walking gear comes from Arc'teryx. My wardrobe is curated, small and high quality. Keep doing what you are doing Patricia! Totally agree with the inclement Perth weather - I am also hibernation mode with soup and Stew... but still manage my daily walks in the Perth Hills. As the Scandinavians say "no such thing as poor weather, it's just your poor attire"...
Love your new era, love your old era. Loved everything in between. I was Sad when it happened to see the older videos go yet they are your artwork and of course belong to you! They were simply offered freely and in grateful I was able to witness them at the time (usually while seeing/creating). I assume I’ll always be in support of your creative projects-because you follow the (imo very integral) value of being who you are at that moment. Viewing comments on recent videos, the entitlement people feel to comment on, judge, and view these pieces of your heart.. I personally would be withdrawing my creations from that energy too!
I also love a soup, a stew, something I can throw into a big pot and cook down for a bit to eat on for a few days is wonderful! Thank you for posting another thoughtful video. I think contrast is something i need to spend more time considering in my wardrobe. Do I want my person to contrast the clothing or do I want a clothing item to contrast the entire look? And which clothing item should I be focusing on for that contrast, assuming I'm probably not wearing makeup that day. These are my wardrobe hangups, currently I think. Everything I own is within one narrow color palette range, they work together, but since it is summer and my skin is more tan from being outdoors, I feel so blah.
Ohh I loved your older videos, was digging your new era too but it feels slightly confusing now. Edit: based on the responses below, I would say I am not confused anymore, just figured this is not a channel for me, best of luck.
@@patriciamycykif you feel better with your new style and content that’s all that matters, for me it feels confusing as I liked more your previous content and style. Again, it should not matter that much but if you are open to feedback it seems many have commented similar things
@@jessicam807 so ‘confusing’ means you liked it better before. And you think that’s helpful ‘feedback’. And it must not be bizarre to express such things because other people have done it too. And based on all that, I should be making personal life and creative decisions based on the people who liked when I had brown hair? 🤔
I'm never one to tell someone how to dress, considering that style is so subjective, but I do agree that I liked her old style on her more too, as she looked so fresh, and unique before.
Agreed. And while I understand a style shift, I don’t understand why the other videos are no longer available. Seems like keeping them up would satiate the folks who lean more to the warmer aesthetic. I don’t get as excited for new posts these days.
Hello there. When I saw the thumbnail image I thought this was the video I’ve been hoping for. And it is, kind of, the retrospective lessons learnt. What I’d love (if you’re into it) is a compare contrast with images from your previous small wardrobes of style formulas or elements that have remained consistently you despite the apparent major change. I ask is as someone who has been through significant body, career and lifestyle shifts in her 40s and reflecting on not just the changes I am happy with and am planning for style wise, but also the things that have remained consistently me somehow. Would love your analytic brain to provide an illustration if ever….
Did you remove all of your older videos? The neutral style really vibes with me and I liked to rewatch them to get style inspiration :(
Yeah, she did remove them, which is a shame because that style iteration was my favorite.
There was a video of beauty stuff/hacks. Please then make new one 😊
She's evolved and moved on
@@yuli_yuli Yeah, but it would be cool for us to go back and be able to watch her evolution 😊
I made a lot of videos private quite some time ago, so it doesn’t seem like you watch them back that often if you’ve only noticed now. 😅
